I think we need more MU sales.  The increased number of modifications mean there is an increased number of MUs.  

 

Say there is one day of 50% MU sales.  Previously, you would be able to buy a 50k MU for 25k, and wait, say, 14 days.  Now, you can buy a 5k upgrade for 2.5k that lasts 24 hours, and the other 45k will not be bought on sales.  Numbers are approximates, and only to demonstrate a situation.  

 

Of course, this does not apply to heavy buyers as they buy speed ups.

If you play a battle with micro upgraded off would the MUs of protections be off too? Like say when a  mk7 fox module is fully MUd uptoprot 50% prot  , with mus offed would it go back to 35% prot?

Guys please solve this for me

I want to upgrade my Mk7 Railgun to 20/20 MU's, but the upgrade 19 is too close to 20 so I will sit on 19, but 18 also is too close to 19 so I will stay in 18, oh and 17 is too close to to 18, and 16 is too close to 17, and 15 is too close to 16....... so I wont upgrade my Railgun

I'm sure the MU Update will disappoint quite a few people. I wish it hadn't been like that.

Yes, people were reminded in the VLOG's that they have to MU to the max in order to not be disadvantaged, but idk...

On the bright side one could say that there will be Sales on Tanki's Birthday, which will offset these losses

They could reset your entire garage back to mk1 and then say there are sales coming which will offset these losses - it's not much of a comfort when you've been, well, shafted with heavy capacitors as it were.

Yes, the upgrade will continue if you rank up - it will not be stopped, and next Mk will be free - I have done it.

However, yes the new system is very poor. We can at least do this anyway.

It is a nice feature, that your already 9/10 micro upgraded viking should you buy for full price again, if you reached the rank to be able to buy the next level of it .

It means no more wasting money on micro upgrades :-)

Lets say for instance that a player has 2 alt accounts, with every single protection module at MK6 on both accounts and quite a few turrets/hulls nearly maxed out also at MK6.

Do you have any idea how much cry that will now take to get all MK7s at marshal.

You are deluded if you think this is a good change to the upgrading system. Devs done this to make more cash, no other reason.

Oops nearly forgot, silly me, devs did give a reason for the change. They said it was to make it less complicated for new players and if anyone believes that they are most certainly deluded.

@G-92 my comment was meant to be sarcastic...

I was trying to say that I hate it, and wasted a lot of crystals upgrading my hull just to buy it again at full cost. I don't know if micro-uprading is cheaper than buying the next level, but in the future I won't micro-upgrade an item that I cannot use regularly.

Is it only me or with all the bonus EXP that we have now (special events, premium account) you rank up waaay to fast, and you can not keep up with your micro upgrades?

I am forced to stop playing with my alt account, because if I continue, I will rank up and I'll waste my upgrades.

(for example, take Mammoth MK4-9, if you rank up you must buy MK5, wasting crystals). 

I have plenty of crystals, but I can't play due to this reason.. I really hate the waiting time between upgrades and IMHO it should be reduced, at least at low ranks.

They done this because the old upgrading system was to complicated, that was their sorry excuse to FORCE you to waste crystals in the hope you spend cash doing it.

Cost is about the same as buying next mk-level.  as is, you should only MU mk7+.  You rank too fast to MU, and like has happened to many, risk not being able to make that last MU before the next mk-level is unlocked.

They did this to make more more money.  Any other explanation is disingenuous at best.
