Thanks for the support. I would say that was a raid. I didn't think raids where that common in the lower ranks. I don't remember or didn't recognize them. LOL Now how organized and deliberate it was, I don't know.  I suspect it was just random. 

I think it was random, probably some guys that saw the battle and decided that they could turn the tide.

Another problem behavior that pops up:  Players that grab the flag and refuse to cap.  Usually towards the end of a long match (yeah I know, but sometimes long matches are the only thing up) and most of the losing team has left.  The flag only needs to be capped a few more times and somebody grabs it and runs around with it.  Probably to get players on their team to get bored and leave for a larger share of the battlefund.

Maybe that is why, but it is sometimes to run the battle fund up even higher. Greed is ultimately the top motivator here.

Yesterday I was playing in a very long Monte Carlo CTF yesterday. Many of my friends were playing with me, about half on the other team. On the other team was this mult/sabatoger with Shaft. He was in longer than I was; my score at the end was about far past the 1000 mark, his score was about 5. Flipping his teammates, pushing teammates, being annoying, he got /voted probably about 15 times. The "Your Report Has Been Sent" message appeared 2 or 3 times. Yet still, at the end of this hour+ long battle, he was still there. No kick, no ban. And his team had lost.

YES!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS TO BE DONE!!

 

Basically, Tanki should also allow us to get rid of the layers who used the f-word in battles and other terms which are not socially acceptable. I am just a 12 year old and even I realize that such people just spoil the reputation of Tanki. Basically one day I was fighting against someone who swore t me, and actually managed to enter my account for a min. Luckily I managed to change the password in time.

 

So, my idea is to have a new kind of vote command where you can report a player and then a mod will come and oversee the player to see if he is acting suspiciously or not. So yes, this will work. I see that it is the only good solution. I will post more ideas later.

Once again, if you read the first post, you would know I'm not asking the devs for anything, and I'm not telling them something new. You must think I'm some kind of moron or something.

 

I'll write it nice and big and simple for you. This is about what PLAYERS can do. Not what Tanki can do. 

 

There are 59 supporters and 69 votes for "yes" , so it is not a waste of time to then or me. You must be in support of mults and cheaters, if you spend this much time trying to discredit what we are doing.

 

Now run along and go bother someone else. I'm sure that won't be to difficult for you.

What can WE do to help?

 

Like many of you, I'm tired of mults, saboteurs,cheaters, and crystal grabbers ruining our games. 

It is time to fight back and send a message that we will not tolerate this anymore.

 

 

 

First off, to the mods:

• You don't need to close this. Just delete anything you feel needs to be deleted, just don't lock it. We can't have a conversation and come to a solution for this huge problem if it gets locked. 
• It will be good for the game over time.
• Feel free to join in the conversation, in fact I encourage you too. We look forward to your input. After all this affects all of us. Many people look to the staff of Tanki Online for guidance and direction, much the way a student looks to a teacher or an employee looks to their boss.
• Don't move this to the "off topic" section. How much more on topic can it be? 

To posters:

• Please don't post useless things here. If you don't have anything constructive to say, don't say anything at all
• If you disagree with some of my points, that's fine, feel free to say what you want, just keep it constructive and civil.
• I will ask a mod to delete anything I think is useless to the conversation. 

Terms used in this topic (for those who do not know already) :

• MULT - a player put into a game for the purpose taking up space on a team. In most cases they are inactive but moved from time to time to prevent being auto kicked.
• SABOTEUR - a player who joins just to sabotage a game. Sometimes for their own fun, sometimes to help the opposite team win. They block you on purpose, push off team mates, hold flags so they can't be captured and etc. etc.
• CHEATERS - these players will use all kinds of tricks. They use hacks, glitches, and 3rd party software to gain an unfair advantage.
• CRYSTAL GRABBER or HARVESTER - a player who joins games for no other reason then to grab crystal boxes. They have no interest in helping their team mates. They try to justify it by not killing anyone. I've even seen them say "please no kill". They take up space that could be used by a good player willing to help their team.
• /VOTE  is a command you can use in the game chat. It is designed to call a moderator to a battle that has a mult, saboteur, cheater or hacker. Here is an example ( /vote Canadian_Eh ) If your not sure of the exact spelling of a player push Tab > click on the name > click "copy name" > and paste it after "/vote" in the game chat. You can vote anyone regardless which side they are on.
• GOLD BOX HUNTERS - are players that spend their time going from battle to battle just hunting for gold boxes and in many cases not helping the teams they join. I personally disagree with this behaviour but Tanki encourages it with "Gold Hunter of the Week". So you decide how you feel.
• ADDED 09/04/14
• RAIDERS are a very organized group of players that move from battle to battle looking for high battle funds to raid. If you don't pay attention they slowly stack the teams. They take turns sharing the battle funds. The mults of the losing side become the winners in the the next raid and vice-versa. Have you ever been in a battle where you think "this is easy, we got this" only to have the battle completely reverse and suddenly those "easy players" find those missing skills an supplies? You sit there scratching your head "Why did they give up? Why aren't the drugging?"  Well you just got raided.

Did you know you can get a ban for not killing mults and saboteurs that are helping your team?

 

Below is the result of a reported battle that had a red team player preventing his own team from grabbing the blue flag.(Mammoth with twins) There were 3 other blue players helping him, but not killing him.  All 4 of these players got banned.

 

I was in a long game one day and a guy comes in and asks "gold yet?". I told him "No, and your not getting it anyway. You haven't earned the right yet." I was using shaft and as soon as the gold box dropped he went after it. I waited till he was right at it then shot him. I told him "I told you, you would not get it." He didn't like it very much, swore at me and left. LOL I gave up my chance to get it just to stop him. I really hate people that do what he did. Everyone fought hard to get to the point of a gold box drop. What gives him the right to come in and take it, with out helping his team. I do the same thing to people that are just in battles to grab crystals. Even tough it is better for my team if I leave them alone. It isn't right to join a team if your not going to help them.

Edit: Further explanation is included in some replies further down. Whether you agree with what I did or not is up to you. You can choose to do as wish with "gold box hunters". This story is intended to show that at times you may be required to sacrifice, to do what is right. 

 

Here is our plan.

• We must remember not to break the rules ourselves to accomplish this. Please read the rules and remain within these boundaries at all times.
• This will not be easy, but with time and commitment it will make a difference.
• It will require people to discourage this kind of behaviour. Tell them if they are breaking the rules, they may be unaware. Also tell them that what they are doing may be fun to them but not others, and that they are ruining game play.
• It will require help from both teams in a battle. Don't be afraid to ask for help getting rid of a mult or crystal grabber, and be willing to do the same. I know mults on the other team help you but it doesn't help this campaign or the game.
• It will, at times, require you to sacrifice your game and score to prevent this kind of behaviour.
• Tell all your friends and anyone else you can about this. Get them involved with helping.
• Kill crystal grabbers repeatedly. Don't let them just grab crystals without helping the team they joined. Why should they get paid for our kills and hard work? If they are on the same team as you prevent them by pushing them away and grabbing the crystals from them. Make it as hard for them as you can. Ask the other team to keep killing them. Let people know that if they want to pick up crystals they will need to earn them. Same goes for gold boxes.
• If your team places a mult on the opposite team make it your job to force then out. Keep killing that mult until they leave. Tell everyone about it and ask for help. Tell your team to remove them or you will report them.
• If the other team puts a mult on your team. Tell everyone about it and ask if someone on from the other team can help get them out by killing them repeatedly until they leave. Again tell them to remove the mult or you will report them.
• Use the /vote command even if you feel it isn't very effective. Tell everyone to do it, on both teams. 
• Take video if you can and report them. Tell them what you are doing. 
• If the other team allows a saboteur to remain, and won't do anything about it, leave the battle, and encourage your whole team to leave. They will get tired of not having anyone to play with. Remember to collect evidence and report them.
• ADDED 09/04/14
• Raiders are another problem. If you find yourself in this situation just leave the battle. Don't stick around to feed their "raided battle fund". Leave them to fight among them selves.
• Stay out of battles that are 100 flags, no timers, really long timers, or already too lope sided to win. These are the traps.
• It is better to win 100-200 crystal every 15-20 minutes then maybe 2000 in a several hour game. And if you end up having to leave, it is no big lose.

I know lots of you will say this is a waste of time, but if we do nothing they win and nothing will ever change. With time and as our numbers grow, we may be able to make a difference.  I personally will feel more and more satisfied every time I can rid this game of one of these people.

I'm not dreaming. No harm in discussing it though is there? They might take an idea or 2 from it and incorporate it. Even if they don't take anything from it, it's good to engage with the community about our favourite game! Although we started the topics, some excellent and well considered feedback has come in, things we didn't think about. I'm sure that would also be the case for the devs.

Ofc everybody does hate mults, except the ppl who are mults themselves. I am one of the most constant victim of these people. Tanki really should introduce some other convenient and effective methods to reduce the amount of these mults. The current methods, which include calling a mod using /vote command and taking a video are inconvenient and most of the times,ineffective. A few days ban wont do anything, since the person can also mult while banned.

The best thing you could have done is taking a video and posting it in game violators, but make sure to read the section rules before posting.

@AbsoluteZero uses something called FRAPS.

Fraps is a program that is used to record videos. Although, it's quality is undoubtedly better than some video taking softwares, it has to be paid.
