I wonder if there is a way to have Tanki track the distance traveled and the number of shots taken by a tank(player) for every game it is in?

 

A log and a little analysis would yield the mults IMMEADIATELY and they could be warned.  If you are idle you had better be paused, and if you pause without any kills more than twice, you are on a warn list.  Do it again, you're banned.  I believe that tanki DOES have a lot more potential to track offenders, but they'd rather focus on paints and new turrets and force us to consider spending money to buy better equipment to make up for the issues of weak teams (never mind the fact that you will be classed up into newer rank matching where mults exist too, but I digress).  The vote system should be implemented, BUT it should have a moderator available 24/7 to review harassment and abuse.

 

 

No, Tanki need a laxative.

upgrading tanks is ok its more the players who sit in the garage pretenting to be changing equitment and stuff but are waisting there teams battle and refuse to play but get what ever crystals they can when game is over..to me its a form of sabatoge on your team and should have some way of banning these players like on another chat have a timmer on it and only allow for a small amount of time in the battle to go into the garage and limited how many times you can use it..this might cut back on wasting time and having players work for there crystals like others

Yeah, any idle time is annoying.  Even I can chat and play at the same time.  Although getting into and out of the garage should be a lot quicker than it is.

 

@Fog: distance is a hard marker to use to judge players.  Those that use long range weapons do not travel far and may be unfairly penalised.

Well based on information given to us by , I think a new system will be put into place once they launch the UNITY version of Tanki Online. There is a lot more they can do with unity. We will just have to wait and see what happens. In the mean time, continue to do what ever you can to discourage the sort of behavior this campaign is fighting against.

Is it ok for high ranks to play with  low ranked equipment  where do you draw the line? 14tsu8w.jpgin a 999 flag battle   M0 M0 combo with holiday paint 3 mods joined no action they can only follow guide lines given to them by tanki so, please tell me where the line is drawn as clearly this shows someone not playing within the spirit of the game

Well I'm not sure whose interests he had in mind. It is border line mult like, however I don't think there is a rule against it. Maybe there should be a minimum equipment restriction imposed. They already have that for the XP formats, so maybe this will become a feature for some future update.  

What did you finally end up with, for a pay out, anyway?

precisely my point that's why multi needs to be redefined: and I got 19,240 ish fund and 1 gold

 

 

right now you can go to battle with m0 m0 combo no paint and not break a rule effectively making your tank so bad your no use to your team you may as well just not play, it waste moderators time joining when the "bad" players gets voted for, it makes it unfair for the other players on that team and it makes a mockery of the rule playing within the spirit of the game as clearly by that rank they have much better guns, hulls and paints, indeed earlier in the game he wore Emerald paint on m2m2 tank

Well, if you're camping, you're shooting (I hope), but yeah, I could see the timid shaft sleeper hoping to get that ONE kill that stops a flag runner from scoring, thus making them the hero of the game.  I suppose you could implement at least a turret/hull inactivity monitor for the gravest and most acute offenders that join join and walk away.  Firing hits too.  If they barely move, but DO land hits on opponents (not team mates), it resets the clock.  I'm just brain storming here.  In the end, moderators that can review game play in a replay environment should be the ultimate word in this.  Maybe they could use ideas like this to create alarm triggers that alert mods to the behavior at least, or saves the game and allows admins to later review games and decide if a tank has been multing or playing.

 

I play shaft exclusively, nothing else, so yes, I can sit fairly idle for some periods of time, depending the map and the teams playing.  I hope they come up with something though, and soon.

hammer is the gun everyone mults with on tanki

I find this idea very true. There's that new "cult" of hammer users that would go in a battle, play legit and troll or sabotage their team, ESPECIALLY in Monte Carlo. Hammer's impact force is so strong, a hornet or a wasp 1 [M] above can be flipped when jumping off a little cliff or so. I have it when a hammer follows you, seems like he's protecting you, then knock off your aim while you're attempting to kill an enemy. It's even worst when they always shoot at you or block you in an attempt to flip you. In Monte Carlo, it's VERY common for people to push shafts that are sniping off the edge. Or shoot them while they attempt to jump over the ramp (hammer). They should really reduce hammer's impact force, at least fix something, because when i asked my friend why he bought M1 hammer, he said "To Troll". Imo, hammer is the most over powered gun in the game because with a full clip, it can destroy anything. I literally don't see why someone would buy railgun while hammer is just as strong, just less reload and more impact force :/ It can 2 hit hornet or wasp just like railgun! Plus people with m1 or m2 hammer are regarded as "OMG". All I want is to raise awareness about that ^_^

I think that should be upheld although it is not good enough. If someone has M4 equipment and they play bad (intentionally), what good is the equipment? I said it before that there should be a minimum score trend. If you play for say 5 minutes and your score is < 0.5 the average score of the rest of the team in the same rank, then you are dragging the team down, and you should not be in that battle. Go to Dusseldorf or some other crazy tank driving practice map. Naturally, this is a random restriction, it should be analyzed the specific parameters need to be worked out.

Here is some thing a respected friend of mine, @swede1 wrote in another topic. He does a nice job of explaining why we have this issue in the first place.

 

I have been in this game two plus yrs, I have read 1000's of articles going right back to the beginning, seen all of the advancements the devs have done; the graphics, options, maps, balance of turrets,balance of  hulls, chat, new guns, paints, they have all improved greatly.

 

You would think after all this effort by the devs working their behinds off, crunching for hrs, days, weeks, and months at a time. You would think this game would have incredible gameplay going on in all the servers, in all the maps with fierce battles where everyone is having a good time, but it isn't.

 

It doesn't matter how good all the stuff I mentioned above is, from the beginning the only thing that matters to the players is crystals, always has been, and most likely always will.

 

The fact is all players start out as free players, and get hunter and smoky with green paint, its fun, they see lots of options they can buy, many go nuts buying till they are broke and can't compete by the time they reach warrant officer 1 and need M1s, at a cost of 100x more than M0. The cost is to great, so they start over.

 

They get a new account and start playing wisely, but they still want a few options and paints, but by warrant officer 5 or so they need some M2s at 300x more than M0, no way to continue on several hulls, turrets and guns, so if you want to have it all, you buy, that's great, you've played for 6 months, it's not that expensive,of course the more you can earn the better even if you have the means, if not, then you are a slave to crystals and only play for them anyhow you can. Here is where the game breaks down.

 

This is the point where buyers and free users split up, the free user starts to despise to buyer, The buyer has a slight advantage, anyone who says they don't is fooling themselves,many protection paints and Mus are out of reach for free players, so they look for more ways of earning crystals and finding maps that reduce the advantage of buyers heavier equipment. 

 

At this point most free users and buyers also join groups, hunting for crystals in packs is more effective. And everything goes well till about colonel or so, and they start to need M3s at a cost of 700x the cost of M0, yet another hurdle.

 

Everyone is now in wolf packs hunting crystals, they know which guns and tanks are best,what paint to use, what formats and maps make the most crystals, they learn how to mult, power level,, and sabotage, and the game is over, the hunt is the new game, buyers have everything they want now but there are no good games to play, only the hunt.

 

The die hard players find themselves playing XP, BP, and the occasional CP battle. Any large maps just bring in the wolf packs 90% of the time, and they go back to the smaller maps the wolves tend to stay away from.

 

With every rebalance, and additional item MU, paint, turret, and hull added to the game the hunt just gets stronger and stronger, and the enjoyment in the game gets weaker and weaker for anyone who isn't just interested in the hunt for crystals, oddly enough the buyers.

 

Here is the problem, the devs need an income, how do we do that? 

 

There has to be some type of purchases to keep the game running, even making the devs rich, its not a bad thing. 

Stories from almost all buyers I've read, don't mind supporting the game, as long as the game is fun to play. 

 

If you just raise funds there would be less need to buy. 

If you make things that aren't giving advantage like tank customisation, different paints, different hull and turret configurations,monthly spectator mode pass etc, these are the types of things I could see as a solution, maybe not in the current Tanki, but in the future Tanki, private chat options, these are excellent premium content options.

 

Raise the funds so players can progress through the game, and experience the maps and battles as they were intended to be played.

 

Maybe I'm just a dreamer, but I'd rather be a dreamer than a bystander.

After 3 hours of ****ty matches, I'm ready to throw in the towel. Yes, this is an old pic.  I thought players would have it fair as I rank. But no,they have to pull **** like this into the game. Can anyone advise me what to do about raiders/these kind of people?  I really don't know what to do anymore..... We were leading 150 to 0 and then... you know, people started leaving and then... *stuff happened* *Rage Quit* I'm now ready to support this campaign.....

Unfortunately there is not much you or anyone can do about it, until the devs give us the tools we need. We need better why's to report, an improved /vote system and we need something like the KICK2 system. But for now you can stop using supplies when a raid starts or leave. This will limit the cost to you and reduce the reward for them.
