That's basically taking applications. Therefore you must give a reason if asked to.

She's only passing on the result as to whether your application was successful or not - she wasn't the one judging that, nor does she have any idea as to the reasons. And if I may correct you; even those who did make that decision are not absolutely obliged to give a reason, you can be rejected without a reason being given.

a bit pointless for her to do that since if our application was rejected we wouldn't get an email, so we would know it was rejected, and if they aren't obliged to give a reason, they shall now be obliged to give a reason. kthxbai

I am doing a favor to all of you by telling you this, since you all are being very impatient.

They are not obliged to give reasons and they surely won't do it. If you are rejected, means there must be some reason. Think about your previous application and try better next time. Good luck to you.
