I've tried a lot of recording software, my topones are 

Screencast-o-matic and Overwolf.

I use Mirillis Action!, which can be used to achieve great quality recordings, as well as allowing you to record specific areas of your screen and specific sounds. It has a pretty good instant screenshot feature, too, and the recordings can be easily exported.

Are your video shorter than 10 minutes? Then Microsoft Express Encoder is Free and is Good one! If you want good fps in tanki then make sure you make the fps 60 in setting! :)  Hope this helps!

I didn't pay anything to get it, hhh...

 

In terms of free software, I'd choose Bandicam then - pretty good quality, only downside is the watermark (though this isn't too intrusive). Fraps isn't that intuitive to use, I think.

 

Although judging from the posts here, you should try Screencast-O-Matic, which I haven't used before...

What is the size of the video? Let's say you record 1 minute of Tanki, how many MO?

 

Because with Bandicam, a 40-60 seconds clips is like 200-350 MO. And I have around 180 clips, so it takes a lot of space. Hell, even a Walking Dead or American Horror Story episod is lighter than this.

 

Bandicam quality is good. And for the mark on top, it's not a big problem. Just cut it when you edit and it's ok.
