The Problem and it's Solution:

Problem: People have noticed a problem that might (and probably) happen spectator mode was given to every tanker. The problem was that tankers would use it to tell (not over chat but Skype or any other communication system) a team information on the opposite, giving a team a big advantage.

Solution: My two solution to this is as follows:

(1) Nicknames and health bars (Including active drugs) will only be visible in Parkour battles. Which means in a regular battle all names, health-bars, and active supplies will be hidden, along with the chart (on the top-right corner) which states who has been destroyed or captures a flag or point. Also note the notifications (Excluding 'Gold box will be dropped soon') will change. For example, if the blue team captures a flag, the notification will read 'Blue team has captures a flag' instead of 'Yisroel.Rabin has captures the flag'. Also after a gold box has been caught, for a spectator a notification will pop up which reads 'The gold box has been caught' rather than 'Yisroel.Rabin has taken the gold box'.

(2) If you do not like this idea, I have another (even better, in my mind) idea for you. Names and health-bars will be visible in all battles. But to a spectator, it would seem as if no one is loosing HP! Basically a spectator joins a battle and sees everyone with full HP. In this case drugs, names, chart on top-right corner, and notifications will be visible.

They do care, it's just that they don't tell you directly if your idea has been rejected.

The reason you have to fill in an application form is to see whether you're an active you tuber and you post regular videos. Administration don't want to hand it out carelessly, if everyone has it, it's not special. People would barely be playing and instead have fun flying around in a camera. You want to record your rank up, then here's your topic. It probably would make the game lag more and there are plenty of moans and groans about that issue. If you got spectator mode, what would you use it for? You can still win contests perfectly by not having spectator and if you think you need one, then the links above.

 

 

Rent-A-Spec. - the reason why that topic was created, and it's massively successful.

1) Sure; everyone would be having fun flying in a camera, but then they'ed get bored after a bit. And even if they didn't, does it matter if they barely played and used their time using spectator mode? It wouldn't make a difference, the user would still be online and the more they're online, the better for the Devs.

2) This is now something everyone (most people) are trying to say. Who cares if spectator is something special? If it's fun it should be shaed with everyone not kept for a few people in the game to feel great they have it... Plus, (If you read my post before) you'll see spectator mode for players and spectator mode for Devs and Mods will be totally different (Devs/Mods can chat, see health while players see full health, the fact it must be paid for, and more). So a Mods/Devs spectator mode would still be "special". At least come out with something similar to it

3) Now finally, something I want to say. I had a friend who now has spectator mode. Before he got it he was all into this as well (Saying it isn't fair and bla). But then when he got spectator mode, he changed and just started bragging about it. Now he thinks the way to get spectator mode is totally fair, why? Because he got it already! Now I think that isn't fair. He used to argue with me about spec mode, but then it was us against others who had spectator, now its me against him and Mods.

So just saying, just because some people out there have spectator mode, doesn't mean you can't help (or at least try) other's get it too.

If Ivi's way comes out, disable spectator mode. And if my way of spectator mode comes out, spectators would either see everyone with full health, or with no bars names, no active supplies, and notifications.

Spectator mode is in world of tanks one of the largest PC games on the web.

 

Tanki allows Spectator mode only for youtubers with a 100 subs.

 

But why not it should be open to the public, why not, because it's unfair for contest! Because you can get better views of things!

 

Most people who have spectator mode say it's special, well who cares it should be free to every tanker. Now I know this topic as been made before but this one says why it should be made!

I would like to add to this idea:

I think that if spectators aren't allowed to chat, it would solve a lot of problems with cheating.

I think that in the battle list and in-game, the spectators should be listed.

I think that spectators should be able to join the battle if there is an open spot.

I think that spectators should only see one teams' stats at a time.

I think that there should be a limit on the number of spectators, for example, if there is a 4-player battle, the limit should be 1. 8 players should be 2. And so on....

 

Anyway, hope you guys like my ideas, I really hope this idea gets implemented!

World of tanks " Spectator mode " is different. It always you to watch a player and nothing more, It give you no advantage, you can move the camera around the tank and that's all but not the same way as Tanki. Also WoT is a 1 life game, after your tank gets destroyed you can either enter your garage or you can watch someone on your own team to see the misery of them fail horrible or do well. It would be cool to have spectator mode but it was never made for players in the first place just mods and recently it's been that if you have 100 subs on Youtube you can have it.

It will make tanki online as same as World of tanks being unique is more important and makes tanki online interesting to play you need to be specialized before you start spectating that's the good thing about tanki.

SpoilerAs u guys know spectator mode is awesome.

 

And if every player gets it tanki will not be functioning as well it was working with 100sub for spec.

 

I my self really like the idea of buying spec but again tanki will become a game of watchers not players...

 

And there is a reason y they give spec to only 100+ it is that they without spec had made the videos so exciting and cool.

 

The people who make this videos very well can be tested if they can make more better videos than they have been doing with out spec.

 

I my self hate the 100 sub thing but its good for our gameplay and I think in mere future some more people will be given spec without having 100sub (I do not include any new mods )

Here's my two bits.

 

I would love spectator mode. Most tankers would probably use it only once or twice, but I'm sure a lot of them would appreciate it. Let's confront the arguments against it.

 

People will spy on matches and report things to the enemy.

Who is actually serious enough to do this? If the spec is locked out of chat, then you'd have to have a tanker and a spy sitting in the same room together. Or, if the tanker himself is doing the spying, he'd have to abandon his tank for a few precious moments to see the stream. Cybersports would be the only real use for this kind of cheating, but if you held the matches privately, they wouldn't be able to get at them.

 

Think of the lag!

True, a bunch of people spectating on a full match would case enormous lag. But you could always limit the number of spectators per game. Taking this concept farther, you could limit the number of spectators per server as well.

 

Only a well-respected channel would be able to benefit from spectator mode.

How do you make a good channel? With good videos. How do you make good videos? Well, spectator mode would be a fun and easy way to do it. I don't know about you, but most Tanki replays are really boring to me. One angle. All the time. Spectator mode could help establish good channels, not just benefit existing ones.

 

The system of assigning people spectator accounts would be too hard to make.

Not really. You could make it a garage item to equip, or maybe even a whole 'nother account that you have to sign up for. But if people have it now, then it's not like they have massive problems getting it to people.

The Lag:

Many people complained that a release of such an update would mean tremendous lag. So to fix the problem I came up with a thought. From the additional blue, red (CTF, TDM, CP) and green (DM) teams, there will be an added yellow team (yellow was decided because when a spectator speaks it is shown like '[spectator]: Hi'). The yellow team will have a limit of 3 people per battle no higher! The only exception to this limit would be if a Chat Mod or Dev would want to join a battle with spectator, they can.

 

Wait, Pay Up:

I thought, just to make it fair, something so "valuable" shouldn't come cheap. So I think there should be 1 of 2 things. (1) A new garage item should be added to the garage with the name of 'Spectator Mode'. The function is obvious, but the item and have the ability to spectate battles for a month. The price would probably be around 2,000 crystals (2) Or, when buying a 'PRO Battle Pass' it comes with the ability to spectate battles. But I think the 1st option is better.

*I was thinking there can also be another garage item called 'Mini Spectator Mode' which would cost less but last probably a week.

 

The Ability To Know:

I know most of you don't know this, but it will be a very known problem when and if this becomes and update. When a spectator is spectating a battle, no-one can tell he is there except him. So I say it should show in the friend list. (Pic below)

 

Mute, But Noticed:

Like the spectators from Rent-A-Spec, spectators (Other than Chat Mods and Devs) will be muted. Obvious reason, no to disrupt a battle. But for picture/video purposes, there will be a way for you to be noticed in not such a distracting way. When a spectator joins a battle, it will say on the top-right hand corner of the screen that you've joined (Just like any other ordinary tankers who joins a battle).

 

Rank Up Mode:

I came up with a topic a short while ago called 'Rank Up Mode - Come With the Rest!' It basically speaks about how there should be an official 'rank up format'. In the end it says that in such a battle format there would be spaces for spectators to video or photograph the rank up. All of the above apply to the 'rank up format' as well.

Solution:

How would someone tell a friend info on another team? By seeing it's HP bars, and active supplies etc. So why not just block that? What I mean is, spectator joins battle and sees everyone's names and HP bars but there HP bars will never decrease. This way a person can tell someone over Skype "See him? He has full HP, wait what?! He still has full HP!"

 

Not for the special ones:

This is probably obvious but I feel the need to say it anyways. None of the "changes" to spectator mode would apply to a Mods or Devs spectator mode.

Simpler Way:

As I mentioned in the post above I made a topic about my 'rank up' format. That gave my mind a click. Why not just make a 'spectator mode' format? It would have all the rules most rules as the post above but less complicated.

List of how it would go (stuff removed from 1st post):

• OLD: A limit of 3 spectators per battle.
• NEW: You would not have to pay to buy a 'Spectator Mode'. But you would still have to pay to use it because to create or join a format battle, you must have a PRO pass.
• NEW: Such a format battle is not made for playing in, only photo-shoots and videos. Therefore, spectators will not be muted. Also in such a battle, a spectator will be able to see tankers HP since there is no point in battling in such a battle. (As I said before, only for photo-shoots and videos)

​Parkour Mode:

Wait a minute! I can't believe I didn't think of this before. Why shouldn't there be a spectator mode in parkour battles? We have all the problems solved (lags etc.), and a spectator should be allowed to speak in such a battle. Why not? Besides, most popular Tanki videos are of rank ups, golds and parkour. So what do you say?

What about Rent-A-Spec, they would "go out of business", right? Well maybe not, I think it would still have costumers, why? Because Rent-A-Spec only has professionals taking your pictures and videos. So what would you chose? Either have a pro tape your rank up, or some guy off the street?

And for those of you which say that Rent-A-Spec would still go out of business, I say so? If spectator mode gets given to everyone, what bad can happen? Not like something bad's going to happen to anyone from Rent-A-Spec. I bet it will always be open, no mater what and will always have special events, even with spectator mode in the game for everyone.

Parkour Mode:

Parkour mode should most definitely have spectator mode (limit of 3 per battle), because Tanki Online videos are mostly of parkour (There's even parkour pro paints - Glide, Master of Parkour, and Trecure). Also a spetator should be able to speak because you can't cheat in a parkour battle. It would onlu help as the spectator can say "Okay, recording, now go!"

 

Rank Up Mode:

Rank Up mode is an idea I came up with a while ago, its basically a rank up format. And there I included a feature of spectator mode. It would also have 3 spectators per battle, and a spectator would be able to talk as well.

 

Spectator Mode Format:

This is basically the topic post just some differences. Spectator mode can be a format, regular battle only with spectator mode enabled. Also a limit of 3 spectators per battle. But in such a battle a spectator can't talk or see a tankers true HP (Explanation to fake HP here, in "The Problem and it's Solution" section).

No you interpreted it wrong, most of you guys did.

The future spectators mode is going to have many differences to the current spectators mode. We can tell this by a quote - said by game developer,

 

 

"Just place a reminder that nothing is set into stone and final version can be different."

 

 

This quote tells us it may or may not happen as they way you think. It is planned to be different so its rules can not be abused, it is going to designed for personal uses so it will not actually be spectators mode but more of a mini spectators mode. And it ain't certain that it will be implanted into the game with so much other key updates needed to be tested... It is most likely to hit in 2016 - as unity will be done, new supplies would be done, and more other details.

This tells us it will be totally different and it can not be as special as the actual spectators mode; it will also not be special due to everyone single person having their own mini spectator. And there will be many bugs in the mini spectator so it has to be just right and will require a massive testing - by the testers.

To conclude, there is no point to beg for spectators view as the times going to ticking an tocking for a hell of a time; in that time you can: make good quality videos; contribute to the community; enjoy the game, and other sorts of stuff...  The planned spectators mode is most likely to be not as grand as the current situation - the mini spectators mode will be more used as a personal viewer.
