Hammer should, in no way, be able to consecutively put out 2 shots in less than a second, much less 0.5 seconds. These things can sneak up on light hulls and completely obliterate them without them even realising someone is attacking them. It can even destroy an unprotected Heavy Hull in less than a second. 

 

I have enough to buy Duplet but I'm not gonna give in to this stupid fad. I can't wait for the day when they nerf it to the ground and the chat would be filled with hate speech against the devs for killing the privilege they abused. 

It's right up there with Firebird.  Not unusual to see 3-4 firebirds on one team. Especially on smaller maps like Sandal and Sandbox.

(As an aside those maps are a joke with 8 vs 8 - just moshpits...)

 

Finally people started to realize how OP this thing currently is. In some matches, 90% of people have 50% protections, yet, even with a full protection, it can do decent damage.

 

I noticed that my drug usage has dropped, because I don't die as often anymore and with Assult drone, my drugs won't really expire, EVER.

Here's my solution.

 

 

I am in favor of increasing recoil by 50%...putting it well  over 300. That would make landing all pellets from both shots incredibly challenging...hence reducing damage except for the most skilled.

I've been using hammer m2 with the alt duplet. I've been coming in 1st-2nd place with it (At my rank I face m3's and m4's) m2 hammer with duplet can easily kill them. I may buy m3 this sale.  :lol:

I have had to dust off my Wolf M0 protection. The duplet alteration is seriously annoying and I'm sick of these big headed hammers thinking they are untouchable.


I am in favor of increasing recoil by 50%...putting it well  over 300. That would make landing all pellets from both shots incredibly challenging...hence reducing damage except for the most skilled.

I'm in favour of 100% recoil. When a hammer shoots (with duplet) it flips off the map and self-destructs.

Last night I saw a couple battles that were almost full of duplet users. So it is OP, maybe it should get a huge reload increase of 110%.

Develepoers should always assume players will quickly succeed indentifying the best combination and/or modifications added in any game. This is is TO, so Turrets and Alterations.

 

It is VERY easy to identify what is OP in most competitive games, just wait a few weeks and see what is most used. The multiplication of Hammer/Duplet combo is as clear an indicative as any. There are other Turrets/Alterations combinations that are OP right now, but this is the Hammer thread.

 

Now, TO is a relatively simple game, it is not hard to quickly get a sense of what is wrong and what is not gameplay wise, so I am fully expecting the devs perfectly knows what is OP: Just look at what is predominantly used by high ranked players.

 

But then, it is hardly a  secret what Alternativa strategy to sell crystals is, isn't it?

When Store crystal buying used to fuel the OP flavour-of-the-month combinations slows down, THEN a 'balance' pass will be made.

 

Not a criticism, just a pay to win standard business practice, which Alternativa needs to make money. The fact that it impact the gameplay is irrelevant as long as cash flows in. Simple. Just wait a while, and the devs will make some changes and turn other Turrets OP, no big deal.

 

In the meantime, start every match with Hammer and Firebird Protections.

same I got the alt during the 50% sale and its amazing, I really hope they dont nerf it. And I certainly hope that more people dont buy it. vulcan with its inciandiry is possibly the only thing I can find that is better or equal to hammer with the duplet alt

more people are using hammer protection and I really don't like it because its super effective takes, 4 shots instead of 3. Firebird and hammer are two of the most efficient protections another protection isn't as bad. also Hammer is my main weapon the one I bought first and the only one for me that is fully upgraded so it kinda hurts people like me where we got hammer in the beginning and stuck with it only to find everyone wearing protections against it.

Also you guys make hammer seem insanely powerful compared to all the other turrets but I think otherwise.

 

Look at vulcan with its incendiary band if you have ever seen one in a tdm or capture the flag that thing is a monster paired with a isida, I went against one and it mopped the floor of my entire team.

 

Also firebird with, i forgot the alt's name, the alt that allow it to have hotter flames is op as well it can quickly destroy tanks without fire protection, even tanks with fire protection barely stand a chance.

 

And smoky with its cyro rounds is just over powered it freezes its opponents as much as a freeze would in 5 seconds in just 2 if a hammer went againts that thing at mid range it would get rekt, I can say from experience, and Im a really good hammer player with an m2 hammer(on my other account GetRektSkrub_ii) and I can hold my own against m3s easily. That being said rico, isida and the other turrets still have yet to recieve an op alteration but when the time comes everything should be balanced.

 

Oh and I forgot to mention magnum with the alteration that drops mines is also really overpowered just think about it.

 

Hammer just seems op because at the moment more people have easier access to it and it was pretty op to begin with. but the other 4 turrets seem just as powerful if you put the time in to master them.

 

Vulcan got nerfed and it sucked junk at the m2 level so no one bothered to get it, it still sucks junk without the alt.

And turret with fire alterations will turn OP. Magnums mortar alt may be OP, but I know an even more OP alt. It's called the " automated gunpowder loading mechanism", which gives you a faster charge rate, which in turn gives you a faster reload time.

The Firebird alt is Compact Tank/Fuel. RIP 50% Fox module, they get wasted.

I got a load of crystals from doing DM battles for hours trying to get 1028 stars for the LEDs paint while I had premium. I have enough to buy any alteration I want and I was considering buying Adaptive Reload for the Hammer. 

 

Obviously, right now, Duplet would be the better pick but I'm not following that trend. I will continue to partially enjoy it in the test server ("partially", because it feels wrong to use, like it's an ability that shouldn't be in the game) although I would rather use Shaft or Isida. 

 

I was thinking that the next discounts might be on Valentine's Day and I should wait for that to see if they would be any sales on alterations. I'm still sceptical about buying High-Capacity Drum.

 

You may not have to have used it before but do you think Adaptive Reload is worthy of being purchased for 200k crystals right now?

Get Slugger and make sure you wear Wolf module. Maybe Adapt. Reload too.

I already have Slugger. I don't use Stock Hammer. Slugger is great for No-Supply battle but in MM, it can be a real drawback when put against supplies and fast-moving hulls.

Try see if there will be an alterations sale on valentines or iron days. Adaptive reload is an adventurous choice but it might work fine.

Still getting good scores with duplet but it's not as fun as before. Not a waste of 100k by any means but I'm sure tanki will ruin it in some way...
