I like the graphics, and I think it makes the game more versatile. Though, there are some things I don't like about it. For instance, you can't use 'Wait for Him to Come Out' style sniping, and you just can't really be as stealthy with it anymore.

 

So... I think for shaft-users the update's a downgrade, and for Tanki Online it's an upgrade. Yes and no.

ik shaft users arent liking this update too much but before this update shaft was really too OP due to its ambush.

I have seen shaft users have a d/l of 50-60 many times.... now which turret except shaft gave such a d/l?

so yes, am satisfied with the update.

Hell no, as i mentioned before, only noobs who complain that shaft is too powerful and unpredictable will love this update,, but that's ok, they are just kids who have no skill and want to run away from something which is unique and they cannot afford!

This post reflects your idiocy towards snipers and your poor analysation on the game, im not stupid, you said your not a sniper yourself, so why would you care?

The update is good and bad, the bad is that u cant be hidden but its good if u are trying to avoid one. It is also very stable which makes it easier to kill. And easy to flip an annoying noob that is trolling you.

The "update" is a disaster. There are players who invested much time and play for shaft upgrades, who will lose the whole purpose of the play. The only beauty of this weapon is to stay hidden and shoot, the weapon itself may be powerfull but it already had some big disatvantages like longer time to charge, very low manevrability in "face to face" fights, full power only in snipe mode, etc.

I mean, what the hell, the railgun is almost as much powerfull as shaft but had a lot more manevrability, quicker charge, and on top of all, you didnt have to aim exactly to kill the enemy. I have been killed a lot of times when the railgun laser beam didnt even toutched me! Why didnt you fixed that bug instead of fooling around and make fool of players who love shaft just for what it was!?

 

I invested a lot of time to play just to upgrade shaft, but now I feel sorry. If you ruin this weapon, now I can sell it back!? This new  "s h i t  shaft" is nothing more than a parody of a railgun, and it is far from the shaft that we liked.

 

"Shaft is to powerful weapon"!? Did you think that if a team had to much snipers, this greatly reduces the chances to win because for a sniper is very hard to enter in a enemy base and take the flag, the sniper has almost zero fire-power when he moves!?

 

If this "upgrade" will remain, I will reduce my time spend on this game somewhere down to zero soon.

concerning shaft this is what my friend said:

It was going to be my first M4; not any more!

 

Let's just say I'll be lowering my rating somewhat.

I won't edit it since the opinion was made prior to the update.

 

His rating was 9.5

now it might reach 8.0 or not much higher than 7 (in my opinion)

Dear Tanki folks,

with your most recent "rebalance" of the shaft, you've actually rendered the shaft completely useless. It's all logic, simple logic. The shaft per se is the weakest weapon: its shots in battle are weak, the reload time is huge and the turret is the slowest. This translates to: the shaft is only - only! - useful, when it is in sniper mode, i.e. when it is most vulnerable to quick attackers. The ONLY defence a shaft has is ambush. In most games, as soon as a shaft is discovered, it's game over. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for the shaft to be able to HIDE and to PREPARE its attacks.

And by the way: since when was the shaft considered overpowered!? On the contrary, the shaft has all the abovementioned shortcomings, but can merely take out Wasp and Hornet at M0, making it extremely vulnerable (due to risk of discovery) against all other hulls. Now, with the new update, it is practically impossible to snipe anything above hornet, as after the first shot, the enemy discoveres you and hunts you down while you are reloading.

Finally, the element of SURPRISE adds to the gameplay. Bad players may not be used to it, but I am sure loyal, somewhat more experienced players do appreciate that slightly unpredictable facet of the fame.

I was saving for M1 shaft, but forget it, I will switch to railgun instead, since shaft is completely useless now.
