Patience, grasshopper. They'll be out soon; it's been but a few days since they said they were coming out. Now, correct me if they mentioned this in the V-Log, but they are still in the process of generating the paints for Vulcan (so as they may take longer than the Hammer paints to be revealed)?

new paints and vulcan tommrow!!!

thanks god

it not clearly say that, but i guess is that major update

They had that graphic when they released Hammer, so you might be right.

I don't think they'll release Vulcan without putting it in the test server, though. Hammer paints only seems more likely. Well, let's wait and see. :)

Not sure why we get a free M3 Viking during Vulcan testing instead of the free M3 Hunter we got on the Hammer testing.

I'm going to buy M3 Dictator and M3 Hunter on the test server right now so I can use something I'm more comfortable with. I don't like how M3 Viking handles.

Gotta say I love the current iteration of Vulcan. Pretty much infinite range, good DPS, gyroscope helps with aiming against Smokies, and there's nothing like unleashing a storm of lead against unsuspecting enemies.

My main problem with it is the recoil. It makes you highly unstable while firing with a light hull (M3 Hunter is somewhat affected too), and with something like Wasp, it's enough to make you miss entirely.

The other stats are balanced, like the low-ish impact force and the long spin-up time. Speaking up the spin-up time, there's nothing like attacking a group of unsuspecting Vulcans with Wasp-Freeze. If they see you for a second or two, they won't be able to fire in time, and the rotation speed when firing is pretty bad too. Hilarity ensues.

I might purchase M2 Vulcan on the main servers the next time a sale comes up.

Impact force is insanity when you consider that is for EVERY PROJECTILE. This also made it risky to use anything lighter than a Titan on the test server if using Vulcan. I finally saw the underside of a dico that wasn't flipped. It's also liek lidurally unplaiable on waspy mkay

Enemy Vulcan+ Wasp= whirlpool.  This gun is has more range then Thunder, a higher firerate then TWINS, and knockback like Hammer. Oh Lord. If this comes to the main servers how it is, I think I'll be cruising around in Mammy a lot more...

@Pizzaslad: Mammoth won't save you. Trust me. It won't.

Especially with all the drugging that goes around. You'll be like a Wasp at 4.0 speed.

I'll stick with M3 Isida. Have fun killing me with regenerative health.

If you can even get close without turning a corner and getting flung around anyways, then sure.

@Longcat970: Ah true. I have a feeling that this will be even worse than Hammer.

The thing is, buyers will get it to M4, and then drug like hell.

With health pack, double power, literally infinite ammo, and don't even talk about teammate Freeze/Isidas, you've got something

worse than GodMode_On.

I find double armor has nearly the same effect as double power, being able to keep top firing rate even though you take small afterburn seems a little absurd (plus the recoil and move shooting). Having both is overkill; only way to deal with them are tons of freezes and a high DPH finisher.

For the overheat firing, I'd suggest an additional feature that slows down the RoF to prevent abuse, but since I'm getting it on release day probably... meh

@Longcat970: Doesn't really matter what you use: DP or DA. If you have a Health pack, you're good to go. :(

Health kit even clears up afterburn. So the choice between DP and DA is based purely on assessing the situation.

And of course getting both would be easy. Just wait under a drop-zone, and you're good.

I think the reload should be slowed down. . . .The rate of fire is how it should be for a machine gun.

And awesome! You're probably going to be playing with it in the absence of paints- just like with Hammer.

So lets take an already overpowered turret, and make it EVEN stronger with no paints, and combine that with drugging.

Well have fun being GodMode_On! :D

If I ever see you in a battle, I'm definitely joining your side with my M3 Isida and hiding behind you.

Overheating will indeed be less of an issue for a dedicated health pack user:

that 's IMO pretty bad.

The reload could be slowed down, certaintly the impact.

Is already being worked on:

http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=241702&page=11&do=findComment&comment=4297075

Paints against Vulcan will be introduced on the same day that the Vulcan gets it 's

official release in the game.

No repeat of Hammer and it 's protective paints.

Still not clear after an evening of testing if this is going to be a noob 's turret or

if it could also be a skilled Tanker 's turret:

probably both.

(similar to IMO the way Ricochet gets used)

Bear in mind that the Vulcan on the test server is the "OP version" as acknowledged by Hazel-Rah. It's fair to assume a lot of the stats are going to be different when on the main servers.

Apart from damage, this gun is fairly stable on titan mammoth and dictator, no matter what direction you shoot in it always seems to hit the target, which is odd

Twins and firebird wouldn't stand a chance against this weapon, and its worse at m4, even if its damage is decreased its going to be really annoying if you have a light hull vs a heavy hull, since its a lot more stable, you have little chance of escape, and on smaller maps all noobs have to do is keep firing in one direction, so i think the range needs to be decreased :P

The burning effect takes too long to activate, and the reload time is way too fast, with drugs, you can achieve 10+ d/l with little effort

Apart from that, its a turret i might consider

Hey Ive tried vulcan on the test server. TANKI TEAM need to downgrade it. Its overpowered and takes out a hornet m3 in less than a second!

That's m4 on m3, m3 on m4 takes 4 seconds and that's at close range

It did sound like an interesting idea before it came out. But having played with it on the test server, I think it would not be a good addition to the game. Even if it's not quite as OP, with vulcan around I think it will have a negative impact on gameplay.

It definitely takes way too long to overheat, and it's too simple to just use a repair kit to fix that. There's going to be a lot more camping, and lighter hulls have no chance against it, not just due to damage but due to the knockback.

I hope tanki changes their minds and drop the idea.
