Actually, one thing that might help is if, as well as the burning, you also couldn't fire it again if you've already overheated until you've cooled down most of the way, added to someone's earlier suggestion of the firing rate going down as it gets hotter too. This is a bit like real life where a machine gun jams if it overheats.

 

This would add a bit more skill to using it, as then players couldn't just hold space down for ages and ages without risking becoming defenceless.

seriously if you add the machine gun in the game it would be called Call of Duty on Wheels

why....why do i agree with this even by a little bit

 

tested in test server and is amazing

vulcan has kinda 2x more damage per second than twins!!!!

and that is very impressive

 

Apart from damage, this gun is fairly stable on titan mammoth and dictator, no matter what direction you shoot in it always seems to hit the target, which is odd

 

Twins and firebird wouldn't stand a chance against this weapon, and its worse at m4, even if its damage is decreased its going to be really annoying if you have a light hull vs a heavy hull, since its a lot more stable, you have little chance of escape, and on smaller maps all noobs have to do is keep firing in one direction, so i think the range needs to be decreased :P

 

The burning effect takes too long to activate, and the reload time is way too fast, with drugs, you can achieve 10+ d/l with little effort

 

Apart from that, its a turret i might consider

sounds game-breaking, even more so than Hammer. There's like little disadvantage to Vulcan it seems, and that is the wind-up time (easily countered by a fire-then-aim strategy) and its self-damage (easily countered by a medkit and possibly an isida)

Personally I found Vulcan easy to aim with. . . .

Not sure why everyone is saying it's tough to aim. . . . :blink:

 

Even if the target is moving. . . The gyroscope is amazing.

Gyroscope is problem fpr fightning againsy short range turrets and other short range situations.

 

But, very effective for medium-long range and against ricochet, smoky.

But you can shoot directly for make vulcan's aim to air.

 

Very good with Dictator because you can't make that tactic against Dictator. Moreover, with Dictator, you can flip lots of target.

Loackie, if you call Rico a noob turret then what will you call Vulcan... At least Rico had a limited range and not nearly as high of stats

 

What Vulcan is:

  • A gun with firerate then Twins
  • Each pellet has the impact force of a Smoky, and there are tens of them flying at you every second
  • More  range then Thunder, making it able to compete with Shafts and Rails.
  • No damage decrease with range, so it kits just as hard from 100m as it does from 20m
  •  By the time the thing starts to overheat it has already killed 5 Vikings. A simple med kit reverses the damage
  •  Perfect accuracy
  • It cannot be used with Light hulls because of the recoil
  • Can prevent any light hull from approaching, and if they have a short range turret, impossible to kill

           Not OP at all.
