Loackie, if you call Rico a noob turret then what will you call Vulcan... At least Rico had a limited range and not nearly as high of stats

 

What Vulcan is:

  • A gun with firerate then Twins
  • Each pellet has the impact force of a Smoky, and there are tens of them flying at you every second
  • More  range then Thunder, making it able to compete with Shafts and Rails.
  • No damage decrease with range, so it kits just as hard from 100m as it does from 20m
  •  By the time the thing starts to overheat it has already killed 5 Vikings. A simple med kit reverses the damage
  •  Perfect accuracy
  • It cannot be used with Light hulls because of the recoil
  • Can prevent any light hull from approaching, and if they have a short range turret, impossible to kill

           Not OP at all.

Eh,At first i was worried the gyroscope would nullify smoky's deflecting ability, but now i see that the vulcan's gyro fights you when you try to track a circle strafing enemy. That means, i'll only be vulnerable to them in long open stretches, but i know how to handle that already.

I almost gave up on using vulcan because of keyboard ghosting, its really a big problem for weapons that needs to hold the spacebar.

But I have found a solution for keyboard ghosting :D and I'm really happy, though I think I shouldnt share a link to download something on a topic, you can me a message if you wanna know how ;)

I don't care how much effort you put in Vulcan please don't add it in the game

I feel that it took a lot of work but it is impossible to use with wasp and hornets, it would be used by trolls all the time, the only downside to it is you fire too much you die and it takes forever to self destruct

Have you tried to shoot wit that gun.

 

This gun shoots to air, so impossible to troll

I'd buy it, but I can already envision the nerf coming weeks after its release. I'm sure Tiger, Irbis + the medium hull that works with every single turret will do fine.

Vulcan is rubbish please change the weird moving system when it shoots it doesn't move with the along with the hull. At the cost of reducing the damage please can you change this please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frankly speaking, I had a vague idea on how this turret should be balanced. There were some thoughts and ideas, but none of them were solid. You've shown what you like to see as the vulcan cannon, so there are clear ways to make it happen.

Plans are follow:

- DPS goes down.
Overkill with 80. Time to kill should be around 4 seconds for light hulls next time.

- Impact and knockback goes down.
Idea with huge feedback of a gun didn't go too well.

- Gyroscope.
This one will remain. This is a unique feature in our game. We like unique guns :) Though, I will concider making the turret less slow when you shoot.

- Overheat.
This one definitely needs to be changed. More damage, slower heat up, faster cool down. This will have a certain impact on Firebird as long as it uses same temperature mechanic, but it will be alright. Firebird users will like it.

- Reload.
This is not a 'reload' at all. It's a spin up and spin down time. I see you would like to swap them and I can see why. But most likely I won't. This gun is suppose to be vulnerable in close range. Will look into it for you, but...

- Time to overheat.
This one need to go down a bit as well.

- Hit animation.
We need them huge sparkles, aren't we? :D

Vulcan should be like this...In M0,damage should be 5.0 per pellet meaning to say,in 1 second it damages the hull 30.0...Equality right?!Then let's compute how it will function..In 3 Seconds,it can kill M0 Wasp and Hornet,4 Seconds kills M0 Hunter,5 Seconds kills Dictator and Viking,6 Seconds kills Mammoth and Titan..It'a a great investment..Every seconds count so it should be like that..

Personally I found Vulcan easy to aim with. . . .

Not sure why everyone is saying it's tough to aim. . . . :blink:

 

Even if the target is moving. . . The gyroscope is amazing.

I agree with you..Hoping that Tanki will not change the penetrating power of Vulcan..

its amazing for parkour so thats the only reason im going to get it

 

the amount of flips i can get with these turrets using wasp

 

rail: 0-2

ricochet: 1-5

thunder: 1-3

hammer: 1-4

machine gun: 1-8

you do relies that its the gyroscope when you fire it. It goes into gyro mode I'm just saying did you really not catch that and they said it TWICE in the Vlog.

Vulcan is awesome and I'm getting it. The gyro just to be clear, is the reason it's so deadly (can't be knocked off target). You need some skill to use it effectively though. Vulcan is all about developing skill and anticipating an attack, thus, it is an excellent addition to tanki compared to the rather simple noob turret, hammer. If you are no good at controlling your tank, get hammer. Once you become a pro, get Vulcan or rail.
