This is a game program error. Vulcan cannot damage Hammer turrets. There are multiple complaints in multiple topics on this.

Have not seen any comments as to when a fix will be done, or if they care about it yet.

Hazel-Rah made a post last week that said the dev team was working on fixing it. It apparently didn't show up during open testing, so it was probably caused by some update to the game engine. A game engine update is very extensive, so they have to do a lot of trial-and-error to figure out what particular part of the update caused the problem. Fixing a bug in even a relatively simple java program can be very difficult, so I can imagine that a bug like that in Flash is even more difficult.

I hope they'll get it fixed soon.

ikr, but what's your favorite turret? mine is Titan, it's a very solid choice for a turret.

Lol. And yeah, Titan's nice, but some people like to be able to dodge shots more capably. And congrats on ranking; can't remember if I told you that already or not.

Thanks! You haven't before that, but it's ok. (although you're missing the joke read it carefully)

ok, i hugely underestimated this turret...it literally kills any M3s in seconds..i cant believe the dps specified in garage, M3 dictators are killed in 3-4 seconds...they need to reduce the firing rate..

i saw some vulcans and i throught they m3,but i mistaken lol

i really saw true m3 in action and it totally better than twins and is dealing big damage even at distance

Well after all, that is a characteristic of a machine gun like turret. At close range though, this turret gets wrecked by freezes.  -_-

That's why you're supposed to take Freezes out before they get to you (even if that's a bit hard).

M2 Vulcan is now firmly on my wish list, but the problem is I currently can't afford it without dropping Digital or Thunder. I think I need another 40K crystals in order to get it, and that's going to be somewhat difficult. Well, I do have the rest of this week off (more time for playing Tanki), so who knows.

Maybe I can purchase M0 + M1 Vulcan and then wait until I have enough crystals to buy M2 at full price.

Good luck trying to kill the wasp on freeze that 'magically' appeared out of no-where right behind you. Oh wait, he/she didn't just 'magically appear', he/she just happened to spawn right behind me in a DM.  :P

Yeah that's what I would go with. Trying to save up for one thing and then half way deciding I want to save up for something else normally doesn't work out well for me. I would pick and save for what I "NEED" first, and then stick to it.

Which is why I don't play DM very much.

Hey, anyone else thinking that [in correspondence with newer functions on a turret] there should be a new hull, with a type of unique feature? (Albeit, I understand that hulls aren't meant to be as diverse as turrets, since they really only serve moving you around and keeping you alive, but couldn't you even play around with those options, too?)

the reason i didnt get vulcan m1 is because freezes firebird and isidas dominated me

Well, I don't know how I can help you there, but all I can say is that the only way to eliminate you vulnerabilities against those turrets is to use Titan instead of the lighter armours. With the Titan, it gives you enough life so you can turn your turret, warm up, and still fire and kill the enemy if you had full life. However, this does not work against any smart person with a Freeze; that's why it's not very good to be on open maps unfortunately. :P

And with the Isida, if they have Hunter, Hornet, or Wasp, they're never going to survive if you can start firing as soon as they attack. I have only died of Isida in one or two matches out of about 20 with Isidas.

Sorta ditto.

You can't let firebird or freeze get close to you. And certainly don't let them get behind you, unless you know you have teammates who will take them out. Freeze and Isida aren't too bad as long as they are in front of you, firebird is bad because because it adds heat along with the delay in your time to open up. What really helps in close-in fighting with a Vulcan is having a friendly freeze or Isida following and supporting you. They can keep you cool and prevent damage along with jumping up and taking out close-in threats when they attack.

You won't see what a Vulcan can really do until you get M1. The Vulcan is a long range gun. It does 50% more damage at M1.And it's full damage range becomes better than everything except shaft and rail.

What Vulcan really is, is a shaft shredder and also shreds long range rails dumb enough to stick their noses out. Y0u can get the entire long range enemy side hiding with an M1 Vulcan. Try it in Stadium or Monte carlo.

On these same notes, a Vulcan needs a heavy gun platform,  put the thing on something that can take damage. I recommend Titan but Mammoth I suppose can work. Perhap Viking since it is so stable and fairly tough but at M1 , Hunter is better. You need a hull that can take damage because the gun heats up causing damage and you take damage from multiple shafts and rails while shredding them one at a time. Dictator , I have no experience with, but it might work well too. I think that would be the tallest combe in the game.

All I can say is use a Vulcan at range, and if need be, at close in, it does kill rather well too, But try to fight at range and keep enemy in front of you.

The Vulcan has replaced Rico as my weapon of choice. I run both on M1 Titan although I tempted to try M1 Hunter which just sits in the shop. I got tired of not being able to reach out and touch long range shafts and rails, and thunders now I just feel sorry for. Always had to close a good bit to Rico them to death. Rico still rocks on short range maps, particularly those with flat stuff you can rico with.

It's been eons since I have encountered a Thunder user who actually poses a challenge. We should tap back into the lost art of Thunder, because more and more people are pros at using the Railgun, a weapon which used to take extreme skill to use. lel.

If Railgun takes "extreme skill" to use, go and play Quake Live. You won't last the tutorial.

I'll duel you with my alt too, I have M0 Wasp-Thunder.
