What's that "Impact force" everyone talks about? You won't make anyone lose aim of you with a Vulcan unless it's a Wasp and maybe a Hornet. If the target is mid-air, then it will probably start spining, but other than that, it has more influence in your tank than in the enemy's tank.

Each turret has his own Impact Force, except close range turrets like Firebird, Isida and Freeze. The Impact Force of a turret can be defined as the physical impact of that turret's projectile on enemy tanks when hitting them.

I know what Impact Force is. :P

What I'm saying is that Vulcan's Impact is too small to make a difference against most hulls. In the Parameters of the turret you see that Vulcan has the highest Impact Force of any turret. However, when you shoot someone, that Impact Force is weaker than Twins. Unless if it is "Impact Force per second".

Haha sorry. :p And it's not "Impact Force per second". :p

I think it's really noticeable that vulcan has the highest impact force. I'm getting the most difficulties to drive properly when a vulcan is shooting me. :p

You forgot to mention that the modification of the turret has to be one higher than the modification of the hull in question.  <_<

There's just some things that are easier to demonstrate than tell, but I can assure you that M3 Vulcan can shake off M3 viking and M3 dictator's aim with enough practice. Can't say the same for Vulcans fighting hulls one mod step ahead or for M2-M2 fights.

Never works with heavy hulls though.

Has anyone noticed that they might have tweaked Vulcan back up a little? None of the charts/logs/vids mention it, but I have run into a couple fairly fierce Vulcans lately. Really could tell because they were drugging a lot, still.

Guess I may have to knock the dust off mine and see.

Weird.. WHere is that chart from? Damage for Vulcans has always been listed as DPS.

However, no I don't think it does THAT kinda damage now.

Note: To other poster, yes they did reduce DPS by 8. They ALSO reduced weak damage from 50% to % 25 that means Vulcan damage was HALVED, past 30-50 meters depending on M level.- That was where Vulcan was nerfed to the point of it being USELESS to use as it was meant to be used, as a long range weapon.

Okay, in relation to my first post about a possible slight improvement. I just realized due to my rank , a very few people might have bought the M2 version , which does do more damage than M1.  I just thought NOBODY was buying any new mod of Vulcan after the last reset considering the actual changes.

I'm not even sure if I want to buy M2 anymore. I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but the unpopularity of the recent updates in understandable; with the stats nerfed to such a point, the gun is almost extinct. Maybe if they fix something here, I might purchase M3.

I agree, but I doubt they will. While the Vulcan still does good damage close range, the Vulcan was not meant to be used as a close range weapon, and it is lousy now at long range, which is what and why it was introduced.

The whining of  some Railers and Shafters , is what got it changed. Pathetic, cheap shot,  mediocre players, that don't like competition.

I would wonder why why such a tank would not use Zeus -with 50% fire protection. ,   Anyway neither of those paints provide long range protection. And to be honest all M4 is stuff is pretty fierce. Especially with Drugs.

I never bothered to try the test servers, I only saw how Vulcan worked at around my rank levels. I used it , fought against it, used other weapons, I would not say it was OP,  it was another long range weapon and was interesting in that respect and certainly took more skill to use than rail or shaft.  BUt rail and shaft players simply didn't want more players being able to play the long range game. Vulcan wasn't OP , it was just competition, and it was competition from people who didn't like the "cheap shot" no skill aspects that are often involved in long range battles.

Now I did see Vulcans dominating the field sometimes, but that was with heavy drugging  AND Isida and freeze support. HOWEVER any tank and player should be BIG and BAD, with unlimited drug use and the support of 2-3 players.

Hell , park a  M4 shaft/Titan  on a long range battlefield with constant double firepower and drugs and 2 isidas supporting him.  They would be big and bad too.

They could certainly 1 shot a Titan M4 ;)

you think if i took the time to mu the damage to max i didn't bother getting that 30% to 50?

by the way, there are a few paints that prove a little useful on all ranges (loam, lumberjack).

On test still, there was a day of fixed colonel rank, i bought myself mammoth and vulcan m2, microupgraded to m3,then with winter/loam. 2nd placed with great DL WITHOUT supplies. Tell me how isn't that a big and bad tank.

It is supposed to be a big bad tank. Heck, some days with my M1 Rico/Titan I am the big bad tank on the battlefield :D .

Am going to buy vulcan m3

Any advices for the wise steps of the MUs? to start MUing what?

anybody is using vulcan m3 and knows what are the things that i have to focus on them more?

\

and finally, is it true the more increased the damage of vulcan the more the gun starts to heat up earlier?

Thank you

I'm going to buy it too, so I can't give you advice based on my own experiences, but I'll firstly MU the damage I think.

it wont heat earlier, the time it takes to heat is on "reload time", i don't know about afterburn potency though.

yes this what logic says, but i tried and fully Mued the damage of smoky and i found no much difference, the same with fire, freeze, and most of the guns.. so it seems if we are going to increase the damage to half the MU scale is it enough? or does it count with vulcan more accurately than the other guns? as a contraversy to the rest of the guns when you fully MUs isida u will feel a remarkable difference than a half MUed isida..

waiting for those who are vulcan users .. also the matter of the heat.. i have heard that even within the same M level of a vulcan, then the gun will start to heat up with the more damaging effect u will be adding to it..

Thanks
