I agree. The only arguments I've ever seen on rotation startup have been too weak and deemed insignificant next to the larger troubles people seemed to be having with this weapon. Clearly, someone out there is reluctant to turn Vulcan back into a distance weapon.

Yeah. After the first update to it, I wasn't really bothered with the spin-up and rotation speed nerfs, but the nerf to damage and especially the range was too much. I haven't noticed any significant difference after this update, so it just looks good on paper. They didn't really improve Vulcan by any significant amount.

 

Personally, I'd increase the damage at maximum range to maybe 40%. It's currently 25%, which makes it pretty bad as a long range weapon.

I have faced this turret many times, and I believe it's too OP, especially with drugs. I was using my M1 Titan (and paint invader) when a M0 Vulcan with DP starts firing at me. Before my SMOKY M1 can even rotate fully to aim and fire, I'm dead. He was the only dude shooting me, and I started with full health. He killed me in maybe TWO SECONDS! I don't like that.

Vulcan, again, is too OP.

Every turret is op with drugs. For example, facing a drugging twins deems your death immediately after you respawn, even before you start to move! In actual context, Vulcan needs a range increase to make it more effective in long range battles.

 Agree, Vulcan definitely needs an increase in long range damage, it should be 50% not 25%. Rail and Shaft don't lose damage at distance and Thunder and Smoky don't lose much damage at long range either so it was unfair to cut Vulcan's long range damage by so much. I don't see how it is overpowered, I find that M1 Vulcan can just barely take out an M1 Viking without overheating at fairly close range.

Alright, I always liked the idea of vulcan, but if the devs care for what we think this is what they must do.

1. increase range.( lets face it every last vulcan user knows this is an issue you can tell if you're hitting someone because you acknoledge that ur range is to short

2. (this is most important to me) PLEASE developers, the rotation speed of vulcan... well lets just say everyone knows the effect of freeze right? so vulcan is as slow as a freezed thunder or any other turret. an enemy can shoot you and run around ur tank while they reload.

 

3. vulcan charge up time alrighty folks, we all know that when a turret has a longer charge time than railgun somethin' ain't right, it gives the enemy enough time to dispatch you 2 times over depending on the Model of your vulcan but still a very large room for improvement

 

4. the burn DMG, really -_-, look twins has unlimited reload as well regular charge time (none) and regular rotation speed, and can arguably compare to vulcans range why did they curse vulcan, a turret that in my book is condemned to neglection it has much too many flaws to fight in the big leagues without drugs or a team of vulcans working together( done this before)

 

These are my thoughts what are yours, I'd love to hear them on this turret with great potential

If the rotation while firing is an issue to you try using it with fast turning hull. If you wanna turn quickly to the right turn your turret to the right and your hull to the left. The gyroscope will "give" you some Xtra turning speed and your fires will reach your target faster than turning both on the same side or turning just the turret. It might look weird but it works.

Hi! I made this music video recently. On it, I playing on the map Kolhoz in the DM mode without supplies and without dropboxes and winning battle.
You can see in the video a good game on volcano in conjunction with hull viking.

I also wrote down various video before, many of them on the volcano, you can watch them on my YouTube channel.
I would be grateful for any feedback on my work.

Now, I know that railgun is the best and most popular turret, but vulcan is my favorite. It looks really cool, It is very effective, and Im a beast with it (not to brag or anything) In unity tanki, I really hope the developers get vulcan looking right. I don't want it looking 1941, I want it looking similar to the current look.
