OMG ! you are wrong AGAIN!!!, I use xp very often but vulcan much more often, the reason few people use vulcan is becauseit requires far mroe skill than all the other turrets combined, people say it is bad to make themselves feel better about not using it, the fact is, its dps combined with its range makes it one of the best if not the best in game turret.and as for ur last line that is insanely incorrect, and here is why... again.

 Because vulcan was introduced as the very last turret, a good month after the release of hammer, players saw no reason in "wasting time" learning a whole new battle style designed for vulcan combat, Hammer is nothing special, the three shot then reload is an inconvenience, and as for the rest of hammer, well it is just a short ranged thunder, literally after the dmg boost given to thunder a few balance updates ago thunder was basically on par with hammer but with long range, Vulcan on the other hand was new,

 

1. Best in-game dps

2. unlimeted reload with greater range than twins

3. gyroscope, which if used correctly is very good

4. best autotarget to combot the slow reload speed

Drawbacks

1. slow reload speed

2. over heat

 

and btw ur wrong, I dont use wasp railgun as main combo, I used it before a few times, I use m3 hornet with m2 vulcan and can often get best on my team

Should I get vulcan m2? is it worth it? I just tested vulcan on the test server, along with titan and zeus, I practically never stopped firing, and the ramps, oh boy the ramps.... also, I probably will use it with hunter m2 :)

No It is a fact and Im in directly talking to you :/. I believe you should get a few more battles and ranks worth of experience with this turret before coming back to this thread

Just 1 point to make that everyone keeps ignoring. Vulcans have already been severely nerfed to just 25‰ on their long range damage. It takes a long time to take someone out in long range battles. During that whole time you are a big target for everyone. Rails and Shafts have no such nerf. I've been one shotted many times by them even with a m2 hunter and double armor supply in effect. That also doesn't take into account the nerf to spin up and spin down. Or the nerf to turret traverse. Sorry guys, all I've have to say is that, yes, Vulcan is a powerful turret, but it does have many faults that can be taken advantage of.

 

I would also like to point out that I have been fighting in high rank matches, and I just don't see the overwhelming dominance of Vulcan that you keep talking about. When I've seen other Vulcans in the match it has seemed to me that they've been just as vulnerable as anyone else. In fact more so, because everyone seems to gang up on them. Though I will concede, if a Vulcan/Mammoth got together with an Isida, that would be a nightmare to fight. But you can say the same thing about Shaft/Mammoth and Isida combo.

 

I fight with it because it suits my style and I am keenly aware of its weaknesses. Which I've learned to compensate for.

 

Lastly for those that have pointed out that that my Vulcan is just an m2 Vulcan so I cannot be aware of the overpowering power of a m3 Vulcan..... My Vulcan m2 has been fully micro upgraded to m3 power and punch.

shaft mammoth gets wrecked by ANYTHING unless camping with drugs. Even with isida beside them,  vulcan will move ur tak off track with knockback and/or flip it if ur going fast enough, I am simply trying to state that VERY few mammoth combos can match up to vulcan mammoth when paired with isida, thunder maybe, smoky maybe again, isida yes, shaft/railgun hella no

Who else is annoyed when people (sometimes intentionally) misspell Vulcan's name? Valcan, Vulkan, Vulcun, Vulkanis, Volcano, Falcon, Vulgan, one time I even saw a "Volvo" (okay not really)
