Problem with Vulcan is all the Railguns. They just peek out for a second and deal like 130 damage per shot and only show themselves for like a split-second. Any tips as how to scare off Railgunners?

Keep firing at their position and pin them, while repositioning outside of their range.

I want to use vulcan for fun but I don't know what to pair it with. From most expensive to cheapest there is:

 

Viking M3 (195,000)

Titan M2 (92,900)

Mammoth (76,700)

Viking is my #1 favourite hull to use with ANY turret out there. Viking Vulcan also gives higher score than heavy hulls in large maps. So unless you plan to camp or don't prefer to move use heavy hull. Always use a good firebird protection paint.

Well I went with mammoth in the end for the extra armor.

 

I also bought vulcan m2 but I am regretting it already. It might be because everyone is drugging, but I'm not getting many kills and I feel like a sitting duck.

Tried on test server just now... Feels under powered by a lot without drugs.

M2 unlocks at Second Lieutenant so if you buy it at Major General it would obviously be under-powered. But I'm telling you once you get M3/M3+ you'll be far from under powered.

If you get M2, from what a frequent user told me, you have to upgrade it to 20+/50 for it to feel effective.

Its like getting hit by a M3 railgun every second. But one thing i notice about Vulcan is despite its huge impact force and recoil you still can't get yourself upright with it if you fall on your side.

Here's a little tidbit for you, we turn our turret at about the rate of a Railgun while firing.

Try circling us and attacking with something like Isida or Firebird.
