Trivia fun fact about Vulcan. The M61A1 Vulcan Minigun is a 20mm minigun mounted in the nose of many USAF fighter aircraft. That means Vulcan is a USA gun in a Russian game. XD

This one?

He's thinking of a rotary cannon.

The Vulcan is usually mounted on vehicles or helicopters and it's used for heavy fire support.

idk.

i just googled M61A1 Vulcan

That looks like a an M134 mini-gun... the one used in Terminator 2.

A vulcan is a 20mm-30mm rotary cannon mounted on tanks, jets and ships. Much larger and heavier - could  not be hand-held.

But principle is still the same - a gatling-gun style weapon that fires many rounds per minute.

Bit of a glitch I'm experiencing:

Sometimes (maybe 1 in 10 times) Vulcan does not cause damage when firing, but when reset (release, then re-press the spacebar), the turret does damage again.

Anyone else experience this?

More like:

Under fire from vulcan before update:

flips off edge of map

Under fire from vulcan after update:

dies before he can fall off the map.

More like:

Under fire from vulcan before update:

Runs into every single wall on the map

Under fire from vulcan after update:

Lie down and accept your fate

This is a glitch called "ghost bullet"  It is most common with shaft because of the scope that tells you exactly where your shot should land. I've heard that it happens with rail as well.

Vulcan is one of my favorite turrets, especially in larger maps.  Its long range is really nice, but it can be depressing trying to kill enemies across the map since damage decreases with distance.  I use Vulcan with a mammoth for multiple reasons, including: it has the highest armor in the game, it is hard to overheat with a mammoth, and it is the only m1 hull I have.

Vulcan is arguably the best defensive weapon, however it does have a lot of versatility, which I believe is one of the most underrated things in Tanki.  For example: if you're in a CTF game in Rio and your team is winning, it can be very boring just camping out waiting for an enemy attacker to into view.  That is when you should start moving up to at least mid-field.  There is no better support-weapon then having a Vulcan rain down fire into enemy territory, allowing your teammates to literally run around unharmed wrecking the other team.  One of my favorite tactics is to move up to a midfield point on the flank that has a great view of enemy territory and start letting lose.  This is a great way to rack up kills, XP, and friends (although it is not uncommon for the opposing team to start calling you ****** by this time).  I hope you find this post helpful. I hate Vulcan. its lag allows it to shoot me through walls for a short time when I go for cover...

It can literally bend around walls and fire backwards.  Utterly insane.  The only turret more annoying than Vulcan is Smoky.  (no offense :D)
