I have not tried vulcan alterations yet although I can buy it but I do not need it because my vulcan is M4 and does not need to be altered. My suggestion is if you cannot get it to M4 then you can use alteration but the over heating effect is not really that bad because the damage is not serious. The reason I said over heating effect is not that bad is because you use vulcan at medium distance and not close 1v1 combat. The best combo for vulcan is viking because the rotation of the turret is faster and can easily turn your turret and tank at the same time. Vulcan and titan is lethal which is what I use and with double damage it can be deadly. If you are playing DM's then it is best to equip vulcan with titan otherwise it should be used with viking for medium range combat.

My Vulcan is currently 6/10, and it's not doing too bad at all.

I'm just questioning whether I should be using Vulcan with Dictator, you say Viking and Titan are better. I prefer Dictator because its height allows it to hit enemies on higher elevation easier.

It really depends on what map you play. But viking allows more stability.

I don't know if you're basing it off of its garage description, but I am a long time Viking user, and it sure isn't stable now that the rebalance update of October 2016 switched it's stats with hunter. But perhaps you meant to say hunter.

You have viking m1 or m2? Mine is M3 and it is the most stable hull in the game. I have almost all my hulls at M3 except for hunter and mammoth so I think I know better than you.

I have m2, and can you show some proof or explain why you think that Viking is "the most stable hull in the game"? and maybe I'll see your point Edited by DieselPlatinum

I've faced today a player with Vulcan M4 and I regret not having any good module with protection against it. He kept shooting without even being bothered by the afterburn as he had a fully MUed protection module. He had plenty of open space and enough enemies to shoot at. No wonder he has finished 1st in his team...

It's actually the most unstable medium hull...

Yes, M4 vulcan is what I have and its impact force is really strong, also since the RK update, vulcan is the 2nd most powerful 1v1 combat.

Tanki may have had a few tweaks here and there but vulcan is most stable on viking. Try get M3 viking so that you can improve you knowledge about the stability of viking. You know where to find me, on the forum.

I don't need to get an m3 Viking to know that it's stability is bad, the wiki tells the whole story. And the wiki is almost never wrong and it gets updated frequently

As for the above conversation my guess is the word "stability" means different things to different people. I have not used vulcan with viking but I can see how it's wide wheel base might help with some of vulcan's recoil effects. But OTOH its weight means enemy impacts affect it considerably.

Doesn't matter they all die to Smoky/Viking. Well, 93% do. :)

Anyway everyone is wrong. The best hull for vulcan is wasp. :)

(However stable vulcan / wasp ain't.)

People have different viewpoints and since you have never used viking please do not interfare with my matters.

You assumed that I have never used Viking before, and you're assumption is way off by 90 miles. And you spelled "interfere" wrong in your post since you like to judge people by their grammar as well as their rank. And what do you mean by "do not interfere with your matters"? All I'm doing is stating facts based on information from the wiki and my experience, just like what everyone else (well almost everyone) in the forum does.

And don't get so angry just because you couldn't win this argument. It's just a pointless debate. Calm down.

And yes, I'm using your favorite catchphrase against you, but I tweaked it a bit

Relax please, you do not have as much experience in the game as I do. You got like 4 m2's in your garage and no M3's even before recent updates occurred. It is ok to be a noob rank but sometimes just don't get involved when you do not know what you are talking about. You have not even got M1 vulcan and your talking about it LOL. Your irrelevant to this topic just move haha. Also don't get angry because its only a game :) .

Oh, really? Vulcan M4 has very good damage but it doesn't bother me at all with the impact force. That thing is barely noticeable. And this happens when I use Viking which is total trash in terms of stability. Hunter M3 is more stable than my M4 Viking.

Just because I don't have as much experience as you do in the game does not mean that I am dead. Really? You expected me to have m3 thunder at [rank#17] before the rebalance update of October 2016? Either you don't have any logical sense, or you just seem to hate players with ranks that are lower than yours.

And your hostility sucks, like really a rank doesn't do anything except a visual look, the thing that determines how good we are is our efficiency.

It's funny how you stalked me here and wanted to prove me wrong but made an epic fail. You do not even have vulcan in your garage never mind a m3 viking at least and your posting Wiki information rather than your experiences. Don't get angry but you just failed LOOL

Trust me, his authority isn't going to work.

Why you getting angry? Just leave this topic HAHA, your irrelevant. You know nothing about Vulcan and your comeback is Wiki.

I Think Vulcan Is New Star After This Noob Update.

It is the best weapon at mid range combat because your not too exposed to enemies unlike twins and if they use a repair kit, well lets just say your wasting 150 crystals.

Could you please explain this a bit more? Anyway, Vulcan certainly has some advantages at medium range if we compare it with Twins, but I wouldn't say Vulcan is the best...After all Twins has 32,77% more damage than Vulcan at medium range which is quite a lot so things are actually balanced.

Good luck in getting an explanation out of him. The only response that you're going to get from him is "Calm down. Don't get angry over a game" which is always his reply to another person on the forum. So don't bother expecting him to be reasonable.

It depends on the micro upgrade you have. I have vulcan at M4 and always use supplies on it.

Undoubtedly (according to in-game stats), M3 Viking is the lightest and fastest Medium hull out there. Unfortunately, said Viking is also the least stable medium hull and will suffer somewhat from knockback more than Dictator and the like. Thus, Vulcan equipped with Viking is vulnerable to having its aim being thrown off by Rail, Smoky, Twins, etc.

Then again, as annoying as suffering knockback is, there is always a way to live with such a weakness.

For instance, one way for a Vulcan Viking to reduce a Twins' knockback is keepng a certain distance from Twins and avoiding a close quarters skirmish. Yes, it is a bit passive, but Vulcan just isn't good at CQC as other turrets are thanks to its firing mechanism (i.e. slower turret rotation when firing).

And while pairing Vulcan with Hunter/Dictator does add stability and Height for vertical auto-aim, I'd argue that playing with Viking is an interesing learning challenge that can teach players about adapt and stick with a personal combo rather than throw them out for "better, meta" combos. Then again players don't have to take this totally pointless challenge, no?

Your choice as always. Can't wait for another ad hominem statement, lel.
