Definitely. focusing on microing one versatile combo will do better, as once it's fully m3 you can focus on modules instead and greatly improve your survivability.

Pick 2 combos and keep upgrading them during the many sales.  You get more out of the MU sales when you do 1 upgrade on multiple items.

Having ability to switch turret if you encounter high% modules is better than just upgrading 1 turret.  Plus having short range and mid/long range gives you ability to play on more maps.

High GS, probably? There was another Vulcan + Titan there so I assumed that both of them were in a group.

Players like that can be put in legend battles and still do okay.

I guess this is a loophole in matchmaking; super high GS but with a low rank.

Decided to buy Shooting Speed Regulator today. I'm...not too impressed with the overheat resistance time increase since it didn't come into play often but the fast revving up and down of the barrels is greatly appreciated. I feel so free when I use that.

I've noticed the damage decrease and it has had its drawback with enemies going behind cover before I kill them. To try to think about it optimistically, my M2.7 Vulcan is basically M1.5 Vulcan with better revving up/down and a longer time to overheat. I'll keep using this so I'll get accustomed to its lower damage, then I'll switch to Stock Vulcan eventually and it'll feel like a massive upgrade in damage.

These are the only 3 battles I've done with it so far.

That's the drawback wolverine used to mentioned

I guess it could be better than standard version in some scenarios

Looks like you earned allot of crystals, you got RFM and SSR

Both of those were on different accounts.

RFM is on my account.

SSR is on my account.

Saved up weekly containers and crystals in general because I stuck to one or two combos.

You mean the green container?

Why would you save up on those?

Because if you have a higher rank every container gives better rewards... so, if you got 1 weekly (blue) cont at WO5 and waited till Captain to open it, you'd get more crystals and supplies.

Why would you save up on those?

Because I have enough supplies to last me 2 months of my gameplay. I would rather open them at a higher rank to get more crystals and batteries. It's those two that I save them for. If I have no use for the crystals at the moment, I could save it until I reach a higher rank so I'd get even more, as well as more repair kits and batteries.

Ah ok, probably wouldn't do me much good though, since I only gain like 1.5 exp on average per week.

But I can respect that strategy.

I'm going to go ahead and say that Dictator is a contender for the best hull paired with Vulcan. It has average HP as it's a medium hull. It has great traction so it's great to use in conjunction with Vulcan's gyroscope effect. It's tall so it can utilise Vulcan's upward auto-aim. Because of that, I can't use Reinforced Aiming Transmission as I can be smothering their hull with mine and the bullets will not hit because of the decreases auto-aim. I having much fun using this with Dictator.

Its Overdrive allows you to have supplies on a lot of the time. With SSR, I expect to get more assists than kills. Assists are always nice as they contribute to the Overdrive charge.

I get a similar feel with Wasp in terms of traction and players don't expect Vulcan to be paired with it.

Some gameplay with Wasp + Vulcan found on the RU Forum:

Something seems off... there's almost no spin-up before bullets fly, yet it looks like it's doing regular damage.  How is that possible?

Most unbelievable part though is the spawn-points.   Luckiest tanker - ever!  :o   I always spawn with two enemies at my back - not alone in a corner.

Yes, there is spin-up. I noticed it almost every time because sometimes where he/she stops and winds up again, I would continue shooting so I see how much damage and ammo is lost.

I don't see anything wrong there. The player has smooth FPS and low Ping. The person was using Reinforced Aiming Transmission.

Yeah. I had 2 or 3 Vulcan Wasp battles in Barda and many times, I'd die before I get to finish winding up.

It's the Reinforced Aiming Transmission alteration. M4 Vulcan takes two seconds to wind up.

My M2.7 SSR Vulcan winds up faster than that.

SSR is godly for DM. You need the fastest reaction time in order to win gunfights, and everyone will expect you to spool up for at least a couple of seconds. Other than that, I guess you can take it out if you want higher damage. I never have problems with damage though - even if the TTK is slower.
