Which hull do you think work best with IR + HI Vulcan?

Currently using Titan since the dome is king in siege mode.

I would say Crusader. But if you're going to be using Crusader with Heat Immunity, you might as well use Adrenaline instead of Incendiary Band.

Yep, IB is so overrated imo, literally any of the other Vulcan alts can be better.

Why not IB?

Because to utilise IB you have to overheat, which means constantly firing the Vulcan (for maximum efficiency), which in turn means that your turret rotates very slowly most of the time - this is impractical with Crusader (at least with mouse controls).

With heat immunity I love IB. I use Viking with it and find that the turning on the hull offsets the decrease in horizontal speed on the vulcan when firing. The advantage of IB is the fact that: you can spray a group of enemies and deal solid damage in a fast moving path between cover, light up a tank and track it with the afterburn, maximally heat  up tanks under Titan's dome after it has been active 10-15 seconds (and they don't really care)...when the dome collapses they immediately take on 300dps for the next 5-7 seconds. There are other benefits of the IB, but I use these almost every battle.

True, but if you're using mobile or mouse controls (which most hovering hull users are using), the slow turret rotation speed can't be avoided.

Sorry, I have no idea about mobile or mouse controls. I don't have a mouse on the laptop...just a track pad. But for those who are playing on the highly inefficient and limited mode I am on, you can get by quite nicely with the IB + Heat immunity on the Viking

By the way, a word of advice - if you ever decide to play with the hovering hulls it's far better to use a mouse - I'd say worth buying a mouse if you don't have one already, even a cheap one will do.

But regular, non-hovering hulls are still easier to control with the OG keyboard controls, at least for me.

That explains the chaos when I tried a hovering hull a while back. Don't keep a mouse on me with the laptop. Haven't used one since 1990s:)  I was tempted to get one when someone shared that when using shaft (my most used turret on another account) you could look around with the mouse while in scope mode. Never decided to use it. Launched this account when COVID hit last spring. Discovered the fun side of vulcan.

Only in a very limited window it has to be said although still useful.

Do you have a screen shot of what it looks like?

You need a video really. Someone must have one!

So Incendiary band is back to being useless essentially. Although the IB + HI combo was very good. Well, time to pick another augment.

I can't see why anyone will use IB if you have to be burn to hell in order to make use of it.

Its called balanced alteration. You really want tell me it is more balanced now? setting everyone on fire without drawbacks?

I'm not complaining about the change. I just want to say IB alone is next to useless. It should be tweaked some way, e.g. reduces its drawback (50% slower projectile speed, which the impact is more significant than you might believe).

Same goes for Rubberized Bullet, which is even more useless than IB (without HI).

p.s. I'm actually the first guy who publicly proposes the idea of IB in Tanki X forum, although my idea is to make it a standard parameter of Vulcan.

I remember IB Vulcans pairing up with Isidas before HI, might see that again

I've got HI (for Wasp) & IB on one account, but found the slower projectile speed annoying

I preferred HI with Adrenaline (test server) or SSR (account has it) or RAT (test server)

I'm giving it try with Adrenaline. My entire account is for Vulcan (even before the introduction of augments) only so I would say I'm quite experienced with that. I'm using heavy hulls so Adrenaline might be my best choice.

If I'm using light hull, RAT might be the best.

You won't regret it.

If I didn't know better I'd think you get commission from adrenaline augment sales.

Actually, I DON'T know better... ?

My personal favourite Vulcan alt is Reinforced Aiming Transmission. Rubberised Rounds is also surprisingly potent in some scenarios (and it's underrated imo).

I have Rubberised Rounds. I can't really find use of it. For me it is even more useless than IB without HI.

On maps with lots of tunnels and other props, RR is fun to use as a sort of bootleg Ricochet.
