I think that's a big reason why TO is implementing mouse control.

Mouse controls sound like a bad idea. You'll have to adjust your mouse DPI, and then unless you want an inconvenient experience with your computer you have to change it back to what it was originally. (I have a mouse with a DPI toggler, using a speed resembling 1000 DPI is NOT fun)

omg,i feeled that

when a vulcan was hitting in my turret(hammer) he was doing to me 0 damage o.O

but when he hits hulls,he does damage!!!

interesting bugg ._.

Hazel said that the dev team is working on fixing that bug. He said it was probably caused by the engine updates, since it wasn't there during testing. It should be gone by next week.

Hmph, I'm reconsidering M2 Vulcan now. While it initially seemed pretty strong, the DPS really isn't that impressive now that I think of it. If it doesn't get buffed, I'll probably buy something else.

@Langlas: True. But as of now, team battles at lower ranks can be INFURIATING.

Guys with Vulcans, even if they try their best, are no more effective as Mults are.

Can't turn their turrets, and the delay before shooting absolutely makes them useless. They pretty much deal minimal damage.

But I guess that's what I should expect for playing with low ranks. . .Think I'll be playing DM most of the time until I get to higher ranks.

Me neither. . .Maybe they didn't read directions. . . ?

But if they see other people turning turrets, you'd think they'd try to figure it out as well. . . .

As for high ranked people not knowing how to turn their turrets, I think it's because he/she gave away their accounts. So the new person doesn't know how to do anything except press space bar.

no,the bugg is still on xD

luckily for tanki, not many vulcan users at the moment

and yes,the stats for vulcan are so impressive, but when you see it in action,in a battle isnt that impressive .-.

After fighting against a few Vulcans in combat (mostly M1/M0, a few M2 ones here and there), I can say the following:

  • It's hilarious to pop back and forth from cover and see Vulcan users struggle to even get a shot off at you. Railguns will have a field day with this. Freezes, Thunders, and Smokies too.
  • M2 Vulcan can cut things down pretty quickly at close range. Even my M2 Dictator takes quite a bit of damage from it.
  • Damage at range is pretty bad, so it's best used at medium range.
  • With the temperature update, overheating is a pretty serious concern now. I've seen several Vulcan users burn out from constant firing.

Regardless, I'm still planning on getting it on the next sale for prolonged combat. Ricochet will run out of ammunition (and has limited range), and M2 Smoky is still pretty far away, so M2 Vulcan is probably the best option for storming bases through the front door. When you're doing that, you definitely want plenty of ammo and lots of damage.

Hmph, I'm wondering if I still want M2 Thunder at this point. Thunder does have several advantages over Vulcan (peek-a-boo players will have a harder time, splash damage), but for prolonged combat they basically do the same thing.

You must be referring to long range maps, m2 isn't very good on those, people are clearly struggling to maintain skill on the weapon as well, and i think m3 is strong but not very strong, at close range it is quite good

I think we need to wait for people to become skilled with this weopon before dissing it. I mean, if they introduced rail for the first time today, people would still be creating stratagies and learning how to overcome the disadvantages. I look forward to when we see a few new players who have used vulcan considerably since they started and will be able to use it very effectively.

So far I really like Vulcan, it does good damage and shoots very fast. Very versatile, good for nearly everything except close range duels. Very good for ambushes at close range, charge someone while shooting and they're toast. With Vulcan Viking, I even managed to win a mid-range duel with a Mammoth Thunder, very impressive. I'll be upgrading for sure later on. Glad the impact force and warm up time improve later on. Surprised so many people use it with Wasp and Hornet, I find it goes best with Viking.

I just bought Vulcan M2 and can say that it's not good balanced gun. First who disapointed me is such a low damage.. WITHOUT double power u will need to shoot so long for kill something.. Imagine if I stay in a duel with my Vulcan M2/HunterM2/Rustle against IsidaM2/HornetM2 which used shield drug (no paints against Vulcan), I had to shoot him about 7-8 seconds.. Imposible to win if he come closer and start to atack...... thunder or even smoky is much stronger... what can i say... U need to use double damage deal or forget about this weap till it be balanced with normal power... And second bad thing is SO SO SO SLOW START OF SHOOTING... U press space and need to wait few sec for see some bullets... Thats my first impression and opinion.. Maby U like it more :))

Really? This pic will prove you wrong :)

I have only got M0 so far. I think it and the M1 version is best on the Hunter M1 hull, or the Titan M1. On a Viking it is lower than any other hull, but you get more damage resistance with a titan ot hunter. This is important because of the over -heating issure. You can sit and blast away at multiple targets at medium to long range. If one target hides just start blasting another. Titan M1 can absorb alot of heat damage.  On a light hull -Wasp or Hornet , over-heating damage can kill you fast.

I looked closely at the Vulcan stats and they are very impressive at higher ranks. Even M0 is quite good, although there is very little impact force, and the warm up and turret rotation are a bit slow. Even invader paint doesn't protect that much at closer range. With M1, you can take out an M1 Viking without overheating and the impact force more than doubles. At M3 it is really deadly, 600 impact force, 70 DPS and only 1 second warm up, even better than railgun, you can shoot for 6 seconds before overheating. M3 can take out an M3 Mammoth in exactly 6 seconds without overheating, really good. Most seem to be using it with wasp and hornet but I like it with Viking.

There is a problem, Hammer turrets seem to have extra protection against Vulcan, takes twice as long to kill em... well most of the time they kill me soooo.... Hope this can be resolved

I as a person, I am a veteran at Tanki, however, this account, TerribleFuzz, is the first of which I have tried using the Vulcan. Now, at the beginning, I had absolutely no trouble being the winner of every single match but later I am finding this to be nigh impossible, surpassed by Thunders and Isidas. Does anybody have recommendations as to how this weapon should be employed in combat? Because, it is an entirely new style of combat for me.

Oh yes, that is due to the glitch where if your bullets as a Vulcan hit the turret of the Hammer, they do absolutely no damage, even though you can hit the turrets of others and destroy them. They are getting this fixed, but I suppose us Vulcan players are just going to have to suffer through it.

I find it is a good mid range weapon, goes good with Viking, don't stay in one spot too long, move around after each kill. You can take out tanks at long range too and is good for ambushes on unsuspecting tanks at close range. Don't try to duel at close range with it. Focus your fire on one tank at a time, killing one is better than doing a bit of damage on several.
