As far as names go, I think a subliminal connection to real and/or Hollywood versions of it would be cool:

 

1. Vulcan
2. Phalanx (these first two are the US Navy's names for the anti-missile battery)
3. Spitfire (mentioned earlier in this thread)
4. Warthog
5. Apache (both 4 & 5 use a gatting gun, ironically for tank killing!)
6. Predator (my favorite, so far)
7. And I'll get silly & offer up "Ventura" for the actor who wielded it in #6 titled movie

It looks awesome but the annoying part is the self destrust thing. I guess it does need it so it still is a fair weapon

Judging by the video, the recoil looks pretty strong but the shots don't seem to have any impact force like rico, that would be a downside when face to face with a rail or shaft about to shoot. Any idea what the range will be? I can imagine it will be a mid-range weapon similar to twins and rico, range shouldn't be too long since ammo is unlimited.

I was hoping they would add this to the game before the new year sale but that is looking less and less likely.

I'd say the gun was thought about over and over again either the makers noticed insane usage of rail gun which I have said in many of my post or they just thought it would be cool to have a machine gun in the game which Is probably the real reason the made like they said about the hammer there must be a shotgun well there must be a machine gun too. And when I mean over usage of rail gun I mean there are at least like 5 or 6 in like Rio. Sometimes I will get on and there will be like 20 rail guns and a few normal guns and I'm like really rail gun its good but over all not the best so many use it because that's the gun they buy wen they get hit by one then are like OMG I NEED THAT GUN I NEED THAT GUN and then use it for like forever. But back to the machine gun it has the best design out of like all the guns first of all thunder does not make any since because the barrel hole is tiny yet it does so much damage, freeze is so mist up have you read its description it says some guy took a facume cleaner and fridge then put them together.

I cant wait for the gun I thought tanki would just put in one tank like every 2 years but to that's just boss. And that freeze think that's not a very bad Idea just get one of your friends to get freeze and follow you and walla your unstoppable. ;)

Same here. It's an interesting concept, so I'm interested in trying it out; if I like it (and if it's unlocked at/before 1st Lieutenant), it might be on my shopping list.

i dont like hammer at all

my thunder m3 is 100% better and the blow damages everything on the radius!

pellets of hammer can be blocked by dead tanks and cant match with explosions of thunder

Hammer has the highest knockback ingame though...

Machine gun seems like an easier to use and/or worse Twins.
