Lowest DPS, gyroscope removed, less than half damage at medium range, no impact force, too much self-damage. What's next, lower rotation speed?

Doesn't have an interesting gameplay?

To say the least. HE butchered Vulcan, he the great programmer! Seeking "balance" he butchered hammer, isida, Vulcan, and smoky. He left the turrets that a complete ***** could play like shaft, twins, and fire.

I mean how hard is it to run up to another tank and turn on burning gasoline. No skill required. Cowards like shaft because they don't have to do anything but camp. And then twins just lays a brick on the spacebar. Like that is very interesting.

I currently have Vulcan m2 10/10 mounted on a Wasp m1 10/10. When I am on my game this combo is about as interesting and fun as Tanki gets. The key is to not play the style Tanki presumes you should play, As you pointed out Tanki's devs relentlessly dumb down the game. So play a different style the dummies are not used to fighting, lol. Hence my Vulcan on a Wasp.

Side note. The Wasp was MU'ed up before the Vulcan. As the Vulcan was improved the mis-match between the m3 gun recoil on the m2 Wasp is really noticeable. It's quite unstable to be honest. Definitely takes some technique to use well. But so much more fun than the sit-and-brick Vulcan trick.

I got clamps which work better, and doesn't leave as much of a mess as bricks, except, I don't use them on the space bar, because:

1. Enemies aren't that stupid to go in front of me, they just go behind me.

And

2. I'll get kicked out of the battle if it goes on too long due to "inactivity".

Hello fellow tankers! While I was taking a break from Tanki gameplay, I have become curious about Vulcan's current state. I recall that Vulcan formidably dishes out 9001+ bullets that can harass enemies. Moreover, Vulcan best fits in the medium-low ranges, especially in open spaces.

Sadly, from what I've seen, Vulcan's popularity kinda waned, especially with the rise of Striker and Magnum. Perhaps players wanted to blow up tanks in three shots rather than pump bullets into tanks. Certainly, Vulcan's rotation while firing is a key weakness that is easily exploited by enemies. Just to be sure, though, how exactly bad (or good) is Vulcan's performance in today's metagame? Thanks in advance!

I was going to suggest naming it Gatlin or Maxim, but the latter sounds to similar to the Magnum...

Gatling would be cool though. Or, like, an alteration called Gatling.

I barely see Vulcans around anymore, and when I do, they usually drug hard just to keep up with everyone else. I think a slight buff on damage would be needed.

I full MU the impact force before the update and now I have m4 vulcan. All I can say Ladies And Gentlemen is vulcan m4 + Double Damage = Nuclear Destruction. It literally destroys enemies with and without double armour and also puts them off balance which is really useful in last flag wins the match situations. After recent updates the self heating vulcan damage has decreased which is useful for your protections as you can protect yourself against other weapons in the game. Also it is highly recommended that you use vulcan for defending because if you have a freeze or isida at the defending base then they can stop you from self damage and also flip tanks when they are coming up the ramps. Agreed, it's rate of fire makes the enemies look like they are going through a melt down. Especially on DD.

Vulcan is a little bit weak after update, I think its damage should increase 7-10%.Since I use Vulcan 1.5+yearss after it came out.It is a legendary weapon to me. I want to play it in my high level account. I want to make another legend again but I am afraid to use it because thunderm3 is enough now and Vulcan is weaker after update. The last problem is that it's alteration were suck.if you don't have rail and thunder protection , you will been kill easily. So I boutht griffon TD for so.

I used Vulcan on my hornet as my very first m2 combo. Hornet MU'd till M3, with M2 vulcan. Previously it was OP, especially with the impact force. Now? I stick to my Fire, Shaft, and Rail. I barely use it at all, it just sits there!

Definitely needs a boost, in push power if not damage.

On the bright side, Vulcan is a challenge to master for patient enough players.  On the downside: it's not a Meta gun that you can pick up and charge into the enemy.

I think we can all agree that Vulcan needs a buff. My Vulcan M2 needs to overheat in order to kill a Medium M1 Hull, which is rather disappointing. I believe it desperately needs a 15-18% damage increase, which would make it a more versatile and balanced weapon while not being too overpowered at the same time. I also would like to say that the gyroscope effect was what made Vulcan so unique, and it's lack of presence is saddening.

Micro upgrade it then. Trust me, when you get to vulcan m3 it is good. But once you get it to M4 like I did its game over.

So, Fresh, I have several questions about Vulcan. Have you tried the Vulcan alterations yet?  If you have, what do you think of them?  How well can Vulcan pair with Viking as opposed to Hunter, Dictator, Titan, and Mammoth?

Personally, I am a bit attracted to the Modified Firing Rate Alteration.  Despite the damage penalty, the alteration does allow Vulcan to fire for a few more crucial seconds before overheating.  Yes, one can just slap Firebird Protection and keep using Stock Vulcan.  But then again, slapping Firebird Protection with MFR can be incredibly more lethal...

I have not tried vulcan alterations yet although I can buy it but I do not need it because my vulcan is M4 and does not need to be altered. My suggestion is if you cannot get it to M4 then you can use alteration but the over heating effect is not really that bad because the damage is not serious. The reason I said over heating effect is not that bad is because you use vulcan at medium distance and not close 1v1 combat. The best combo for vulcan is viking because the rotation of the turret is faster and can easily turn your turret and tank at the same time. Vulcan and titan is lethal which is what I use and with double damage it can be deadly. If you are playing DM's then it is best to equip vulcan with titan otherwise it should be used with viking for medium range combat.
