Undoubtedly (according to in-game stats), M3 Viking is the lightest and fastest Medium hull out there. Unfortunately, said Viking is also the least stable medium hull and will suffer somewhat from knockback more than Dictator and the like. Thus, Vulcan equipped with Viking is vulnerable to having its aim being thrown off by Rail, Smoky, Twins, etc.

Then again, as annoying as suffering knockback is, there is always a way to live with such a weakness.

For instance, one way for a Vulcan Viking to reduce a Twins' knockback is keepng a certain distance from Twins and avoiding a close quarters skirmish. Yes, it is a bit passive, but Vulcan just isn't good at CQC as other turrets are thanks to its firing mechanism (i.e. slower turret rotation when firing).

And while pairing Vulcan with Hunter/Dictator does add stability and Height for vertical auto-aim, I'd argue that playing with Viking is an interesing learning challenge that can teach players about adapt and stick with a personal combo rather than throw them out for "better, meta" combos. Then again players don't have to take this totally pointless challenge, no?

Your choice as always. Can't wait for another ad hominem statement, lel.

You are so right. Hunter can outperform Viking in a DM battle easily due to Vikings lack of stability. And Vikings speeds just means more instability for it, and it's easier to hit a corner of viking than it is with hunter. So that's like a triple setback for poor old Viking.

It depends on the micro upgrade you have. I have vulcan at M4 and always use supplies on it.

I compared Twins and Vulcan (both M4) at medium range which means Vulcans deals maximum damage and Twins deals minimum damage. In this case Twins still deals 32,77% damage and, you know, almost everybody uses supplies...I can only see 1 advantage that Vulcan has over Twins at medium range: horizontal aiming (which is quite important especially when you are trying to hit light hulls). Apart from this Twins is better in terms of: damage, impact force, vertical auto-aim, ability to hit multiple targets.

Check out the wiki and compare Twins and Vulcan. I don't even have Vulcan, but I thought of buying it as I have tested it almost every single time on the test server and I have also created an alt to test it even more. I needed a turret for close range so I gave up on the idea and got Twins instead. Way better choice for close combat.

If you do not have Vulcan why would you even try to argue with me. There is no balance on the test server as everything is the same. I use facts from my gameplay within the real game and not the test server like you. If you cannot successfully back up your points don't tell me to check up Wiki.

Test server is in most of the cases just as good as the real gameplay. I backed up my points with information from the wiki which is a reliable source of data that gets updated very frequently (especially the RU version). If you really want we can test and compare the impact of Vulcan and Twins...

You play against tankers with M4 hulls rather than a variety of micro upgraded hulls. Vulcan is better than Twins at medium range and I rest my case.

I thougt Twins and Vulcan were equally good at medium range, but I've changed my mind as you have provided a great argument. Please allow me to bow in front of You as Your overwhelming statement basically made the data I have collected from the official encyclopedia of the game and my in-game experience absolutely worthless.

It is just that Wiki comes from moderators collecting information from players that use M1 - M3 and not M4. The Wiki is basically just a quick summary of turrets and hulls rather than in depth study of the garage.

So you consider the wiki not to be a realible source of info for M4 equipment? The charts with the characteristics of the equipment match perfectly the data shown in my garage (even for M4 equipment) so why would I believe the wiki is wrong when presenting other turrets/hulls?

It does not show multiple viewpoints of gameplay from other Tankers that use M4.

I agree that the wiki isn't as good at offering info about gameplay as actually using the turret is and if you use the right tactics every turret is good, but I was mostly talking about numeric values (damange, range, impact) and not actual gameplay or strategies.

Your just changed the subject so I am going to leave this irrelevant conversation.

You made the same mistake again. No, because you didn't correct me at all, but I corrected you. Don't try to turn this around.

Having M4 Vulcan is the only thing that makes someone's opinion relevant?

I said you don't even have M4 Vulcan so you cannot talk about the effects M4 Vulcan has against enemies in battles. It is really sad that killerassassin3 and Robbie56 cannot understand but once they learn what logic is, well just praise the Lord.

Please hold up the discussion culture.

Calling someone or his opinion irrelevant, does not add to the discussion.

Replying with sarcasm and irony does not help in such situations either.

And calling someone dumb is like backstabbing the discussion overall.

Game discussions are not about putting yourself into a position of beeing above all others; knowing things better then others, or to be right at all costs all the time. It is about sharing experience and impressions; discuss them (when do they apply and when not) and so learning togehter.

If you get stuck then you can try this:

- state an opinion

- if someone does not share it, he should - bestcase - ask from which scenario your opinion comes from (gamemode, map, combo, locations on the map, tactics, ..) to clear things up

- point each others to some prove while staying nice, instead of bragging like "ha, I told you I am right"

- and if you can't clear it up, then go and make a test (get players with that equipment, arrange a date, meet in a private battle and test it out)

- to "agree to disagree" is also an acceptable outcome

"unresolved diagreement" does not dissolve by turning the discussion irrational/starting sh*tfightmode

The reason I went after him is because he did exactly like you're not supposed to do. It is indeed a discussion topic, but with Fresh a discussion was impossible as you've probably read.

You gotta admit that it entertained you though ;)

I intentionally did not blame anyone by name, as this leads only to "he started first, no he started first, ..".

Let's let the past rest, and just continue better from now on.

Vulcan used to be the most op turret in tanki long time ago and then there was some re-balances that made it less

Potent. now a days whenever i see a Vulcan in dm polygon or sandbox , i deprive him from his long range

Advantage come near him and eat him like a gummy bear ... yum yum yum.
