Vulcan used to be the most op turret in tanki long time ago and then there was some re-balances that made it less

Potent. now a days whenever i see a Vulcan in dm polygon or sandbox , i deprive him from his long range

Advantage come near him and eat him like a gummy bear ... yum yum yum.

That's why I use my Vulcan on a Wasp. Most times I get to decide the distance. And often I chose the in-your-face range. Players are not used to fighting Wasp/Vulcan at Firebird ranges. It's surprisingly effective though very unstable combination. :)

Would you recommend said combination?

Also, it seems that the repair kit nerf was a Vulcan buff. I just played on my TP alt, and half of the players were Vulcans. Repair kit is 100% useless against Vulcans.

I know it sounds crazy. It does have many drawbacks. But I'll be damned if it is not incredible fun. And when you are in the zone oh my God you're a wrecking ball. Seriously,

Downsides: So many. Obviously Wasp is a light hull so not only do enemies blow you up you have little HP to lose ot over-heating. But less obvious is the recoil. It just plays hell with stability. The combo is top heavy so shoot to the side anbd you might well tip over. Just shooting and driving forward slows you down a lot. Get tipped over way often by enemies or just dooing it to yourself. I have a mis-matched m3 gun on an m2 hull. Just shooting while still will make my hull tip straight up. When I say unstable it is unstable. You have to learn howto use your accperation and braking to limit that recoil effect.  For example you are still. Start shooting and move forward, that will help you keep the nose down. You stay moving by balaning out these forces on your hull, recoil, impacts, and accelerations. Your K/D WILL suffer frm the tip overs and occasional over-heats. Thre is also no kit so you have to buy and MUi "a la carte".

Advantages: Onvce you get the feel for this something great happens. I have to guess players just do not expect this combo, see it rarely, so they do not get much practice against it. You are so fast you can dodge around even at close range. The enemy is always under some impact and that just sems to make fighting back hard. You can almost circle-strafe a target and no one expects a Vulcan to circle-strafe. As for Firebirs Freezes Isida so forth Vulcan does a lot of damage at short range just like them. But  recoil helps  when yo drive backwards firing you accelerate. The Fire/Hornet sees an easy light hull kill. But even as his hull and turret start to turn you've reversing and spinning up. Before he knows it yo are out of his range and he is eating tracer rounds. As for overheating, Ileanred to fire my time and stop. You do not have that HP mass to use up. But sometimes you ave to keep firing. When I start to burn often I resign myself to the self and keep firing so long as any target remains.

That's about the best I can do. Thre's only a couple specific examples I can describe (sort of)here. To be honest I cannot desrribe how I keep the damn combo going on the edge of control. You just have to keep at it and develop a feel. But honestly it does seem very powerful at times, very powerful. But mostly is id damn fun.

Hope that helps.

(Yes on the RK Vulcan might be the best RK supressor in th egame now. Good for th eteam.)

I don't think I have done many full 360 circles as the target usually does not last that long. :)

I almost always use Vulcan on mammoth, so that I can just sit on flag, and even lay mines. :P

A classic role no doubt. I just have this [tic] need for speed. [tic. twitch]

I was playing Bobruisk using Shaft/Dictator. I had fired a shot at a Vulcan/Mammoth as he was firing at me. I didn't make a kill. As I hid behind a wall to reload, he was still firing at me.....right through the wall!! I raised the camera up to make sure I was behind the wall and out of his line of site. His hail of bullets were coming right through the middle of the wall and killed me. His bullets were not going in the direction of where I was, but rather followed me behind the wall and continued to fire until I was dead.

I don't see that as a lag. Can anyone else explain it?

Edit: map was Kolhoz, not Bobruisk

Could be a bug since it has been reported before, do you remember what map and which wall? If it happens again a screenshot of video would be appreciated.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. It's been happening for so long that it is just a part of gameplay.

I very much doubt that.

Yeah I sometimes get this. It isn't due to lag, as such. It usually happens when you are far away from the servers (Netherlands). Where do you live? If you have a Ping of over 100, you'll always get hit through walls by literally any turret with knockback if they have an extremely low Ping (such as 20 or lower). No fix for this. You just gotta tolerate it.

I apologize, it was not Bobruisk. I took another look at the wiki maps. It was Kolhoz. If you look at the summer view, you will see a square horseshoe shaped prop. To the right of that is a ramp and to the right of that is the wall I was hiding behind. You can't see it on the map, but the player shooting at me was positioned in the far left corner across the map.

I was well behind the wall and he was hitting me directly in the center of my tank. I was parallel to the wall

I live USA. I didn't look at my ping, but if the ping or fps are way off, I'll notice it in gameplay. I wasn't detecting any any lag at all.

I meant that the servers are now located in Netherlands.

Oh?! Ohh that's great news. It makes sense because the Benelux is the center of Europe. I know that a lot of other game developers have their servers in Amsterdam aswell.

Thats a thing with vuclan. When you hide behind a wall, it can still hit you for a bit. Magical bullets change direction in mid air.
