New Maps in TO or Unity

  1. 1. Should there be new maps in TO or Unity, such as cities around the world? (EX: Paris, London, Tokyo, Moscow, New York, etc.)

I created the same topic on feedback.tankionline.com. It's an interesting concept. By the way, quite a few maps in the game are already names after existing cities and places, but the resemblance is quite limited: Chernobyl, Serpukhov, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Parma, Kungur, Bobruisk and others...

I know that, but I think frequent map changes would help tankers from getting bored. Maybe there could be a cycle :) Could you share a link to that topic?

A few tankers and I theorize that with the move to Unity and the new props that are coming with will bring warrant new maps. Anyone can come to that conclusion if they watch the video blogs, however we view it as an opportunity.

If you would like to be more detailed with your idea, or like to take up map making yourself, click here.

They should actually have the map look like the city example London, should have London bridge, Paris affle tower, San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge , st.louis the arch

Talk about diversity. That beats night maps off the charts.

Personally, when TO moves to Unity, I probably won't play anymore.  Why? It's a hassle working with Unity.  And, also, when will TO move to Unity?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NOT IN THE NEXT 2 YEARS.

Although the maps have different names for the most part the same props are just recycled over and over.

It would be nice if the different maps actually looked different.

They create new prop libraries every once in a while...

I think it's better to have a new map with an interesting design using old props, than a boring new map with new graphic models. The gameplay is way more important that the graphics, IMHO.

That would take a LOT of work, if they were to change the textures of 70 some maps and make them all look different.

It's a very common deranged idea that every now and then one is obliged to create new special effects, new graphics, more advanced etc. To show that one is ahead of the competitors, I guess.

But most of the time new graphics express worse scenarios than the old ones, leading to new versions of games that are boring and senseless regarding the old ones.

The gameplay is way more important than the graphics, I totally agree!
