Question about a Section Rule

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a question about this rule:

  • Ideas regarding changes to the actual Tanki Online to its previous versions, or ideas regarding the removal of updates are not accepted.

I am sure that even the devs agree that they can, did, and will screw up, being not God, now what does this rule mean?

Does it mean that if we think they screwed up, we are not allowed to ask them to revert their messed-up update or change?

If this is what it means, how logical is that? If it means something else, can someone please explain it to us mortals?

"reverting" won't happen. Even if they did screw up, they will only do a fixing update, but will never revert the game to a previous version. It's either their choice to do so or there's a technical reason for it. So, with that in mind, there's no point requesting a reversion to an older version since it will never happen.

You are still, of course, allowed to complain that a new update wasn't successful and that some new features should be changed/removed.

Let us say making private battles free again. Is that impossible by definition or by choice, or is it possible?
When we ask for that to come back, we do not mean that we also want the old battle list UI, the lack of shaft laser, no hammer, etc. We are just asking for something the removal of which made our lives miserable across the board, and there was no reason told to us to take it away.

Another thing irritated me yesterday. It came in video log. They said because most people were not using 45 minutes, 20 minutes, or whatever battle lengths they took them away. So what if most people don't use them? Are you paying money to keep them available? Actually, there was no reason or gain whatsoever from removing them. I am not complaining because I used to like those battle lengths, but because they should have bigger fish to fry than worry about whether only 20% of the players used this feature or that. Are they next going to say most people don't use the shaft, so we are taking it away, or most people are not good at using ricochet, so we are taking it away? Who cares? Add new features, and don't worry about silly stuff.

Yeah, I'll agree with that.

I'm not sure if asking for just one old feature to be reverted would be a valid reason to start a new "idea/suggestion" topic. You can PM a moderator to clarify that.
