You make valid points, although somehow you still fail to convince my stubborn brain :P

And come on Trom, your almost a Colonel: so for you personally it won 't be a long burden! :)

But now I need to get the right paints (Forester, I believe, still lets M2 Wasp get 1-shot by M3 Rail?), and that will take a long time.

The devs most likely didn't allow M1 items since they're significantly worse than M3s in terms of speed, reload time, rotation speed, etc.; a team with lots of M1 players is probably going to lose against a team with lots of M2 and M3 players. The difference between M2 and M3 in XP/BP combos tends to be smaller.

Are you joking. I'm so enraged towards the staff right now, you wouldn't want to see me face to face D:<

I'd be prepared to declare a war, if I could.

My opinions here are my own, and don't represent what the staff thinks. If you want to get angry, please get angry at me and me only.

I'd like to clarify my position; while it is very possible to do well with M1s against M3s (since that's how XP/BP is structured), M1 players are by default in a somewhat disadvantaged situation due to their equipment. Minute differences in the reload time or even the charging time can make a big difference in an XP battle. In a M1 vs. M3 situation where both players are equally skilled, the M3 player is more likely to win because of these equipment differences. In a M1 vs. M3 situation where the M1 player is somewhat more skilled than the M3 player, the odds are about equal. You'd generally have to be significantly more skilled than your opponent to tilt the odds to more than 50% in your favor, and by a lot more than if both of you were using M3s. The problem exists with M2s as well, but it's not as pronounced due to the smaller differences in equipment stats.

I'm neutral on allowing M1s in battle or not, but I was saying earlier that the devs might have had their reasons for not allowing M1s.

1) I'm not stupid. I'll get mad at those who deserve it.

2) There's already RANK LIMITS. The idea that you can only play XP/BP battles at rank of First Lieutenant AND you need a "Pro" battle pass (Pay-to-play battle pass) to play this battle. That's just bull. People used to play XP/BP whenever they wanted to without any requirements of passes or upgrades!

Rank limits don't actually stop tankers with an m1 combo from joining an XP. Many high rankers don't posess an m3 XP/BP combo. Edited by sam131192

So, then tell me, my friend, how come there is a "rank limit" option but no "upgrade limit" option? Hmm? Hmm?

XP is famous due to the skill needed. When you use an M1 railgun, the turret turning is so difficult and to reach the standard of M3 players is basically impossible. You see XP pros do epic tricks because they are M3. Take a look at this Scorpions promo video and ask yourself, could you do this with an M1? I tried TomRedl's trick with M2 Wasp and it's still not easy!:

I agree that m1's shouldn't be allowed with m2's and 3's, but having a lower class, maybe just m1's, can go and duel. I think that would be the most effective way, as I want to have official XP/BP battles, and unfortunately, I can't.

M1s should not be able to compete with M2s and M3s. However, M1s should be able to compete with other M1s and M0s. That's why I think there should be a Rookie XP/BP format, to keep the lesser equipment separate from the more elite equipment while giving new players a chance to try out the format.
