You're doing it right. For anything other than M3 it's only worth investing in the first 5-7 upgrades for each parameter before it becomes really wasteful. The exception would be equipment with really large rank gaps, e.g. Mammoth M2 at Major and M3 at Generalissimo. You would really struggle to go more than half of your career using a stock M2 mammoth, especially once you start encountering upgraded M3 tanks at higher ranks, so it's worth gradually upgrading such equipment if you have the crystals.

 

The reason the upgrades get more expensive and give less bonus is simply to attract buyers and the less intelligent players. I saw a complaint from someone saying "I spent 20k on 4 upgrades to get my hornet from step 21 to 25 and it doesn't even let me survive one extra Ricochet shot!!!", while the guy didn't even bother to look at the bonus he was getting. The average Rico shot deals something like 15 damage, while he only gained 6 armour points from the 20k spent. You get a bigger upgrade from MUing the first step for 500 crystals!  :D

Good point, but if you use Mammoth M2, you don't worry about meeting an opponent who have more heal than you before you have met a commander.

But that is so different for Dictator so Dictator needs more MU

 

İ could upgarde my heal fully to 278 for 90-95k cry, but i was having nearly 85k cry and i have to buy shaft M3 :(

I know it does, but I'm not gonna play until Generalissimo with a lame default Mammoth M2. I spent crystals, but I now basically have an almost M3 Mammoth at Brigadier!

I played Mammoth exclusively, all the way up to Lt.Colonel. Fully MU'd it as soon as I bought the M2 (yes, I'm a buyer).

 

But the fact that I've now got to wait until I hit Generalissimo before I can M3 (and immediately M4!) it means I've now switched to Titan... Which seems a bit disloyal.

 

Definitely support the idea of dropping the rank requirements for all Hulls and Turrets to below Generalissimo.

 

Perhaps at Generalissimo, "M4" could be purchasable across all Hulls and Turrets: same (or slightly higher) specs as a fully MU'd M3... Only at a slightly reduced cost, and no having to click "Speed Up" a million times..!
