Automatic team balancing system.

Recommended Posts

I have been playing only DM recently cause i cant stand the the one sided teams and noobs anymore, so i play DM to rely on myself. However i do enjoy team games more and i just think that at the start of a new game the tanki system could automatically reposition tankers into teams depending on their previous game score and avoid this lopsided battle which is what 90 % of battles are.

E.G there is a 15 min battle red side beats blue side by 7 flags and the battle ends however instead of this carnage happening again tanki server will halt for 30 secs and reposition tankers into more fair teams at the END of each round. In the period of the 30 secs standstill tankers may leave or join, this way we wont get lopsided numbers. This will avoid lopsided teams and the timer may never have to start also people will be more likely to stay for the next round.

This may make it harder to win however i would rather tie with the opposing teams then have unpredictable bad and good tanki days. This could be turned of as a FREE option so clan wars can proceed.

But the issue here is; Then players who may have worked incredibly hard on (let's say) the red team, then get kicked over to the blue team, and have to suffer an intense decline in score, and may even lose the battle that they would have won. This, all because they did so well on the red team, and couldn't gather together the strengths of the blue team.

No it changes at the END of each battle not half way through battle and the main point is to avoid massively losing steams.

Of course. this idea might work once the battle has ended....

For single players its nice.. I understand that

I like to play with my friends in the same team and we alwys have a hard time to find battles, where we can join the same team.

Your feature will disrupt our teamplay.

I think that the vast majority of players are single players, not groups, so this idea would benefit most people.  Blowouts are annoying and a waste of time  no matter what side you're on.

I wonder if it's possible (and easy) for devs to set up system where players link to each other and then are automatically placed on the same side in battles.  If there are not enough people on the other side, the linked players get bumped off and the game begins without them.

Besides, this option could be part of PRO battles. (Or turned off in PRO battles.)

Nah it wont benefit players at my rank at all then there is like 1 NS battle per server LOL.

I meant that you have the option to have it off in PRO battles so players can play only with their friends on the same team.

Tottaly agreed. All i see is druggers and we just lose. This new system just reduces time when the winning team has a high score and the losing one low. But thats just not good. I must say that the devs must take another think. Imagine this: The losing team may just stand up and kill for score. Both teams has high scores. The losing team has less flags and will lose. I wanted them to make it so if the CTF thing is 3 or 5-10 the battle ends. They said in the V-Log that the match will end directly. They did not tell us the time would be reduced. Thats just my idea.

God bless.

Of this ever gets implemented, they should add the option of disabling it in PROs. Just in case you wanna play with/against your friends, you're having a clan war, a  training, etc.

If a matchmaker that weighs the previous match is too hard to make, then they could at least balance by rank. Usually the people of higher rank are better tankers (but not always).

A problem I foresee is that a lot of people leave battles just after the next match has started. This often leads to one team having many more players than the other. I would suggest that the time after a battle has ended be extended. Maybe ten seconds or so?

I don't see how the ending time being extended has anything to do with players leaving after a battle.

Players get, what, three seconds to look at their scores? So they get three seconds to take in all the scores they want, and then the next battle starts. So they don't leave until the next battle has started because they spent the three seconds in between trying to analyze all of the scores. I certainly see it a lot at my rank.

But if I do not like being forced to join a team that I don't like, may I exit the battle and re-join the other side?

The idea is to give both teams as equal chance as possible not put you on the bad team. However after studying strategies of maps like noise i believe tanki maps may be designed to give one team a small advantage so there could be a winner and loser. I wonder if thats what devs had in mind when making them.

If maps were balanced there would be no reason for blue and red to switch sides.

In fact in a perfect world each base would be a mirror image and the battlefield would be too.

Personally I hate unbalanced maps. For example Rio: the blue team always has an easier time defending the flag compared to red.
