If the devs were going through all the trouble of adding this feature I'd much rather they go with the rent a tank idea. 

 

Many people will want to try every single piece of equipment but they'd receive no real long term benefit.  With a good pricing structure this would act as a huge cash sink for crystals, with rich people renting different builds when they are bored.  Players would rent equipment directly from the server.  Players would still need to buy for two reasons 1) Renting in the long term would be cost prohibitive, the price would severely milk people who rent regularly 2) in order to take advantage of micro upgrades.

The rent a tank idea is good but renting a tank can make people buy whatever they want and have use to it, if they are good or bad it the turret, hull. or paint. What the developers want is for a tank to make the right choice into buying things and they want to make the game hard, yet interesting, so having people rent your turret will make the game to easy and you can easily get crystals. You can make too much of a profit the rent a tank idea. But, the test drive in unique because it will only let you to play against the CPU tanks in the tutorial, so you can't face real players AND that you will still have to pay crystals for each test, so the difficulty of the game will remain the same. Also in the rent a tank idea, you can also have friends in real life to let you permanently "borrow" equipment for free, which makes the game kind of easy and pointless to earn crystals.

There can be trails of weapons (if the rank is supported) by paying 1/20^th cost of the real turrent/hull for 10 mins in battle .It can be only used once as trail after that, it should be bought to use it

.If it makes the garage more lag then there should be an option in the settings to deactivate the intresting garage

I know it is a little useless hard work for tanki but please support my idea

There can be more ideas to improve the garage like: there can be a larger space in garage instead of a room and you can drive the tank inside the garage (just for looking how cool is the combination of the turrent, hull and the paint is)

When you are not sure if you want to buy a hull or turret, you should be able to try a test drive on the tutorial course using the hull and turret you want to test for about 10 crystals.

I like the idea, you spend like 10 percent of the price then you get a 5 percent discount on the real perches, then tanki also wins and we don't waste our crystals.

Or, a singleplayer mode like this where you attempt to destroy as many CPUs as you can within a time limit and it rates your abilities.

Like Accuracy, Shots fired, Hits, Misses, and such.

Hello Tankers! 

So I recently bought a m1 twin gun on this account and I hate it. I think it would be cool first to be able to Test drive a gun first to see if I like it. (Kind of like the once and a while test driving with tanks) But these were a lot of crystals that I earned spent on a wasted Gun and now I have to save up all over again. If people here agree with this, then comment your thoughts.

If you could rent it out for 1 week for 10% of the price it would make sense.

If you then purchase it, you get a 7% discount (so tanki has an advantege by that as well).

 

(btw, I would like to testdrive microupgrade settings on my tanks as well.. but here the renting mode makes not so much sense. It would make more sense to later "transfer" microupgrades from one parameter to the other.. but only if I buy a "testdrive license" in advance that costs money (so tanki has also an advantage of it. And I know prices are different.. but for this a solution can be done. Like a separate budget or so.)
