Ideas for Game Modes!

Tanki-X-Wing:

 

Cancel gravity

Replace Skybox with a perimeter grid (builds a cubicle around the area)

Include floating obstacles

replace tracks with turbine engines

add pitch control and roll control (see picture)

 

-> enjoy a full 3D tank-space-combat arcade fun :)

Better than the watermode suggestion I saw.

Though I do think an underwater map would lead to some awesome visuals.

I think being able to go unerwater or on water would still be better. It would stick to the whoel "Tank" idea for tanki better

There are 2 teams one team trys to push a bomb all the way across a huge map with lots of obstacles and the other team trys to stop them. When the team that pushes gets the cart to the end (enemy base) it blows up and destroys the base and the team pushing the cart/bomb wins! But if they don't do it one time they lose... :( It can be called Payload!!! :D

"Capture the Post" - Similar to CP but not CP

There is one post anywhere in the map....wherever the devs think is suitable...The post will be represented by a Control Point and will be represented by a circle like in the CP mode but it well take 7-8 times longer to capture it than the usual CP. + the captured part wont return even if the attackers are no longer present....

 

Like when there is a person trying to cap a point and then he goes away from the point just before fully capturing it, the point turns to grey...but in this mode it will stay wherever the attackers left off even if the defending players are present.

 

There will be two rounds each 6-7 minutes long. One team will attack and try to capture the post on first round and vice-versa. The team that manages to capture the post fastest wins. If both team doesn't manage to capture the post....the team that captured the most % of the post wins.

Additional thoughts on Race Mode

 

Two teams of players- Racers and Obstructors

 

All Racers must have the same Hull - this is set up when the battle is created - That way hornets are not racing against mammoths - that would make no sense

 

Each racer gets its own lane separated by barriers. Racers cannot obstruct other racers. Racers cannot fire on other racers. Racers CAN see other racers using camera view.

 

Scoring is pretty simple. XP and thus crystals are awarded to Racers according to their finish place and overall race time.

 

Obstructors (the other team) are placed at random points along each track. A given track may or may not have a single Obstructor depending on team sizes. No track may have more than one Obstructor.

 

Obstructors cannot damage racers. Neither can racers damage Obstructors. Both Racers and Obstructors can use the IMPACT of their turrets to interfere with Each other.

 

Obstructors gain experience for every hit they land, as well as an inverse bonus of their respective Racer's placement. In simpler language, the worse the Racer does, the better rewarded the Obstructor is.

MUs are disabled.

 

Speed boosts are allowed.

 

There are no map supplies.

I like how you thought this through. There is a bit more specifics than nessecary, as the devs would probebly never do your "idea"(i say that cause racing isnt that unique, but you do have good details) as it may not be a very good system of each team battleing....i do love how you have an Obstructor team that just tries to stop racers instead of 2 racing teams. This couldent work if the teams arnt equal as there would either be an extra racer who completes laps easily and get bored or an extra Obstructor who cant do anything. I think that it should be 1 big track that the entore team races on, but teamates cant crash each other(unless changed when battle is created) and they can use any hull. I say that cause each hull has difgerent perks that others dont have, and its not like the battle would be able to have a good Lap system as its not meant for raceing. They should also be able to kill each other too. When the racer dies, he respawns a small bit back from where he died, and the obstructor spawns a bit ahead of the racer(enough that the racer can advance a decent amount, but not insanely far away. Your idea for getting expbfor each hit could be exploited.... especially since they couldent die....get 2 people in a batyle and they could just get twins or something and power-level way up. Freeze would also probebly become op because of its slowing effect.....anothr reason why they should be able to die.

Game Mode: Musical Repair Kit

 

In this mode, everyone loses HP at a constant rate that at the end of 35 seconds, you die. The only way to avert death is to catch repair kits that drop in various locations. The amount of repair kits available in the map will only spawn enough for everyone except for one person. The person that doesn't get it is out, gets a set amount of crystals, and doesn't get to play until there is a sole winner of this musical repair kit game. The repair kits spawn every 30 seconds and nobody can kill each other, but can push, shove, and use the impact force from their turrets for positioning. The game creator gets to choose the music for the first round and the winner of the musical repair kit gets to choose the music for the next round.

 

Game Mode: Ultimate High Stakes 1 v 1 Duel

 

The creator sets the match on whatever map he chooses, what hulls, turrets, and paints are available to use, and how much crystals they want to bet. The person that joins can negotiate and tell the creator the parameters and the amount of crystals they are willing to bet and the battle doesn't start until both parties are satisfied with the rules, terms, and conditions of the fight. Both parties click "Confirm" to show that they are ready for battle and accept the terms.  If someone does not like the rules, they are free to leave. Parameters CANNOT be changed if one person clicks confirm, however, the battle doesn't start unless both people click confirm. This prevents cheating by changing the parameters from what they were. The ultimate PRO DUEL!

There was one idea with "bet to enter", but yours seem more envolved and focusses on a duel - nice thing :)

I still think wrestling is a good idea, maybe even having it with various hulls? Or to counter it have Micro Upgrades turned off by default.

 

It may be fun, though i think it could get kinda old after a little bit....maybe have it so theres a very large platform with holes in it and theres full sized teams too :)

Yeah, it would go good with maps like Arena and Duel.

With Dictator you try climbing on top of your opponent and staying there for ten seconds. Like a mixture between a rodeo and gold box hunting.

I think its way too easy for someone to knock someone else from on top of them. Alot of times when i do some simple parkour, its really hard to get anywhere without the person im on getting me to fall off. For some reason, i can generally carry people fine but they always knock me off....plus, you will SD if your on someone at times.....its extremly irritating...i still dont understand why th devs added that

I feel like people play more competitively and with more skill when there is more stuff on the line. As far as the duel is concerned, since both parties must agree to the parameters, there is nobody to blame but yourself and the skill of your opponent for losing.

It would be fantastic if there was a new battle mode that allows players to create a type of battle named "Combination".

 

The "Combination" mode consists of a selection of turrets, hulls and paints that players select to create the battle. Only tankers who wear one or more of the required turrets, hulls and paints can enter the battle.

 

In the "Combination" mode players can choose to allow as little or as many turrets, hulls, and paint. This is a battle mode that does not require players to buy Premium Accounts.

Above there is a logo that represents the "Combination" battle mode of Tanki Online.

 

I have a good example to demonstrate how the "Combination" mode works:

 

1. Players who select, for example, the red paint as the paint's combination would require other players to wear the red paint to enter the battle.

 

2. Players who select, for example, the Smoky turret as the turret's combination would require other players to wear the Smoky turret to enter the battle.

 

3. Players who select, for example, the Hornet hull as the hull's combination would require other players to wear the Hornet hull to enter the battle.

 

Players need to select at least 1 turret, 1 hull and 1 paint to be able to create the battle.

As for Daily Missions there should be a new type of Daily Mission that requires players to destroy enemy tanks that wear a specific type of turret, hull and paint, or two, or three combinations all at once.

 

That would make Daily Missions more fun to play and more different as well.

 

By the way, I really like today's (03/032016) new update of "Daily Mission Chains". That was explained a few weeks ago in the V-LOG: Episode 78 - Good luck and have fun tankers.
