Ideas for Game Modes!

Onslaught III


 


Starting off at a small ground outpost, on a runway, One team must board a missive aircraft, another must keep them off, than the real action begins, 


 


*radio message for blue team* The Intelligence Agency reports that a heavy airborne cruiser is helplessly marooned on a deserted airfield,  This is a one in a million opportunity. Engage with a saturation attack and destroy the target before it escapes from our operation area and time-span, bored the craft itself and destroy it in the air, If Necessary, forcing it to crash into the sea. We are unable to provide any details of the defenses you encounter. Remain alert. *message ends*


 


Blue Team ObjectivesSpawning at the end of the runway, the first thing you will see is a very large plane, it may seem scary but your job it to bored it through the back ramp, before you can do that however, destroy 6 fuel tankers located at the bottom set of wings, once you do that, you board the plane and capture the your point at the bottom level red will go to the top level and capture their point on the roof, once both teams have captured their respective points, the plane will take off (It has massive space on the inside, also very wide) the game will fade to black and brighten up with your team spawned in the lower part of the aircraft. 


 


One team must be the first to control both points at once


 


--If blue is the first to capture both points, the plane's weak engines will become vulnerable, if you manage to destroy all 6 of them located on the top set of wings by the end of the game, you win, all the red team can do is hold you off.


 


*radio message for Red team* All of our ground attacks have been useless so far, we must protect our latest super-weapon, as It could be a major turning point in The War, Its journey must be safe, we cannot let them near it *message ends*


 


Red Team Goals: At the beginning of the game, you will all spawn in all different parts of your craft sitting on the runway, Your first job is to defend your fuel tankers, the round cannot continue if they are not destroyed, than everyone will bored the plane, take the ramps leading to the top and capture the point, that is your base, once both teams have captured their respective points, the plane will take off the game will fade to black and brighten up with your team spawned in the roof of the aircraft. 


 


--If red is the first to capture both points, when someone on the blue team dies, they will not re-spawn, they will get their reward and removed from the round, If red can kill all the blue players on their plane by the end of the game, they win, all the blue team can do is hide and hope they have VERY good isidas  :( 


 

Notes: there are many ramps leading from one level of the plane to the other


 


If one team has captured both points, but they could not finish their objective in time (for example if blue has captured both points and is proceeding to open fire on the engines on the upper part, but the round ends before all the engines are destroyed, the game is a draw.


 


The aircraft has 6 engines, 3 on each side, if 3 are blown up only on one side, and none on the other, the plane will start to lean to one side, I think you get the picture :P

Magnum - Wasp format

 

Like xp/bp, new format for pro battles MW - only magnum wasp allowed.

 

I think it will be really fun.

 

TDMs in Rio, HIghland, Yorkshire, Osa would be very exciting.

 

 

 

EDIT: Hornet should also be allowed.

 

 

EDIT #2: In addition to magnum - hornet/wasp mode, we should also have a magnum only mode, where all hulls are allowed.

 

This would be good for CP and CTF modes.

titan magnums can defend flags, and wasp magnums will get flags.

 

but like xp/bp, some amount of auto protection module would be required.

Campaign Mode


 


  • Some Ex.
  • An invasion where you and you team invade enemy territory
  • A blitzkrieg mission where you and you team invade straight into enemy territory
  • An evacuation mission like the evacution of Dunkirk 
  • A mission where you and you team are encircled by the enemy and have to fight your way out
  • A defensive mission where you have to defend against an enemy invasion

I did this with friends and I still do with them once in a while by creating a private one and just using this equipment, it is quite fun.

What about Hornet/Wasp Firebird format? It should be called XF/BF! The most lucky player wins! (never heard of using these combos for power-leveling...)

Maybe after Magnum is balanced, otherwise we'll see more Magnums in battles because more people will buy it.

Here are some of my idea's for game modes.  ;)

Idea 1:

4-TDM mode: Basically TDM but with 4 teams, the colours for each team would be Red, Blue, Green, And Purple. The way to win would be the first team to get to 50 kills. The max amount of people would be 5 per team and the spawn area for each team would be in quarters. 

 

Idea 2:

Format Maker: Instead of having set formats (XP/BP, DR etc.), they could just add a format maker to the pro battle selection screen. It would show a drop down of all the turrets you would allow in the battle and all the hulls you would allow. I think a lot of people would appreciate being able to make battles such as Fire Hornet/Fire Wasp and even interesting stuff like Smoky/Titan or Shaft/Wasp. It could also include what modifications of the turret/hull would be required/allowed to join the battle. 

 

Idea 3:

A Kill Disabler button in pro battles: Kind of self explanatory, would be helpful for gold events.

God, can you imagine the chaos in that battle? Magnum shots flying everywhere, you won't move a couple of meters without dying unless you have modules (meaning they are allowed), in which case everyone will have a module and it would be just useless to play the mode.

in xp/bp there are rail shots everywhere.

its a very successful mode.

 

nobody will force you to play, its only for those who enjoy it

what to imagine, it is already like that in cologne, silence and noise

You mean like... any DM with 20 players?  Avg life-span after spawning is prob 30 seconds...
