Ideas for Game Modes!

hi takers!!

 

I have an idea of a mode called survival mode!

its like DM but it is a elimination mode, and there is no time limit

 

Rules:

- a max amount of 50 players will spawn in one of the large maps to start the battle

- drugs are allowed in the match

- when you are killed, you become a spectator, driving your tank on the map invisible spectating the battle

-the top 10 get a share of the battle fund

 

because people love STG, it should be developed as a mode for tanki also!

 

-the computer applies mines around the gold when it falls

-do not forget it is still DM people can kill

-whoever gets the gold before time ends wins the battle, regardless of kill count

-when the battle ends, and the gold is not caught..no one gets the gold(or maybe it gets added to the battle fund)

Sounds like fun, but not something that fits in with Tanki.

It would be GREAT as an event in Stadium. Fire, Freeze, Isida and Twins would be unable to play in this event.

 

It would be relatively easy to attack in Tanki (group of Thunders hits the ball) so it would be quite interesting...

How?

 

Just seems way too difficult for Tanki's general audience, so people will play it for a bit, get confused or frustrated and leave. I mean, even Juggernaut is hard for some to understand.

Really???.... I think it's pretty simple:

 

1. Just use your turret to hit the ball.

 

2. The goals are highlighted by the team's color. 

 

3. If you touch the ball you die.

 

4. If you get the ball in the goal you score a goal. 

 

Honestly, I don't think it's that hard. Maybe you might be confused at first, but I think all you have to do is literally spawn once, see what's going on, and then using a quick trial-and-error, learn how to play.

The actual mechanics of hitting the ball will be confusing. How will it work for Fire/Freeze/Isida? If it's without autoaim, then how will people hit the ball? If there's autoaim, how to tell it where you want to shoot the ball (top/bottom/etc)? That's besides the point that making nice playable (not buggy) physics for the ball will probably be a nightmare for devs.

Fire/Freeze/Isida/Twins will not be able to play this game mode (Twins have too much impact force).

 

The mode should be played on Stadium or classic Sandbox without buildings and bushes.

 

Ball would behave just like pool/snooker ball when it is hit by another ball (projectile). Hit in middle, goes straight. Hit in side, changes direction. No jumping and spin.

 

Everything would depend on turret used. Thunder, Vulcan, Striker and Rail for attack. Hammer, Rico and Smoky for defense. Magnum and Shaft for some fun xD

Really? What about nerfing Twins impact force by 50% and adding impact force to Fire/Freeze/Isida in this mode???

 

There must be a solution...

I forgot to mention that Firebird/Freeze has a preset impact force on the ball and freeze slows down the ball a little bit. Isida cannot do anything to the ball, but it already can heal teammates, so what's the harm?

 

Of course there isn't auto-aim on the ball, that's the whole point so you would get a different hit result. Everytime you shoot the ball. 

 

Are you doubting the programming ability for the devs?

Just cause you don't like my ideas doesn't mean other people don't like them. Remember that you are a Forum moderator/administrator, not an actual developer.

Another problem not touched upon.....You said that if the ball hits a tank, that tank is destroyed. I assume that tank would respawn and go back into the game.

 

1...The ball would have to be fairly big for this type of game. So, it's possible for it to hit several tanks at once, especially if they are in a close group. For a few seconds, there goes half the team, giving the other team a huge advantage.

 

2...Players would be spending more time trying to keep out of the way of the ball instead of trying to move it. 

 

3...Most tanks are not agile or fast enough to get out of the way of the ball if it suddenly changes direction.

 

3...It's not like a pool ball where you have time to aim at a certain spot, unless the ball is standing still. A moving ball would be very difficult to control. Next time you play pool, try to put english on the cue ball while it's bouncing off the rubbers. 

 

4...The only way this could be played out is if all tanks are equal in agility, speed, turret, turret force and other factors. When a player enters the battle, Tanki would have to give each player the same hull/turret combo to use just for the game. 

 

I played a similar tank game on another site. The difference being that you could push or punch the ball with your tank. Once you took a shot at the ball (or a player on the opposing team) it took your turret 3 seconds to reload so no one person could dominate the game. The ammo was similar to Thunder but much weaker. It would take 4 shots to kill an opponent. Instead of an area, it had a goal net like soccer, about as wide as 3 Mammoths nose to tailpipe and about as deep as 2 Mammoths nose to tailpipe. There were 3 rounds, 10 minutes each. Best 2 out of three wins. A tie was a "no score." That's all I'm going to say about it. I don't want to steal your Post.

1. Yes, I already said that. It will be relatively large. That would be part of the game, where you have to eliminate large amounts of enemies defending using the ball before you score. But remember this ball is a sphere. If it lands directly on top of a group of tanks, the ball could technically be above the tank, but not necessarily touching the tanks.

 

2. No. Considering how most turrets in the game now are ranged turrets, you don't have to stand directly front of the ball to move it. Firebird and Freeze will have considerable impact force on the ball only, which will help them out, too. If you end up too close to the ball and find resistance pushing the ball, you would probably get out of the way. But, then again, you have better accuracy on the ball if you are closer to it. It really depends on the situation. Not to mention that if the ball hits the tank, it still rebounds off the tank. That may save your team a goal. 

 

3. Maybe your tank doesn't have to move, but your turret can fire back at the ball too. That will at least deflect the ball. Also, I want this to be a fast paced mode, not a mode where titans and mammoths are everywhere. 

 

4. No. You can still shoot enemy tanks to stop them from hitting the ball. All the turrets are pretty usable in this mode. Light Hulls, although they can dodge the ball, they can still easily be killed by other tanks. The reverse can be expected for Heavy Hulls. Anyways, of course, I wouldn't mind an XP/BP mode for this (that would be fun)

Magnum could direct the direction of the ball it hit and other turrets would hit at different impacts, so unless they redid everything I don't think this could work.  I would be a very fun game if all the players were of one turret.

hallo gyz  :wub:  i have a idea for game mode,this idea is important for players whoes want to collect crystals and konts and more others ithems,i think will be better to will be 1 map where u can playing anything what u want and have chanse to get many crys and have chanse to get konteiner,i think every players want to get konteiner for (xt,supplis,paints) in this map will be konteiner drop hight chanse and will be game mode missions who us make this mission u win (crys,supplis,gold box) i think it will be interesting and so funny coz now we playing alot of times and we get low crys (i think) and in this mode if u are good player have some experience and have (lucky  :D) u will get anythiing whats is ur dream  :wub:  :wub:  first sry my bad english  :P  :P  i think my idea is understending  :ph34r: Thx for attention  :wub:

I had always used isida but Now I’m a smoky user. But I still care because it’s still unfair for isida.

Fire/Freeze/Isida need some impact force in this mode while Twins need less impact force.

It might actually make sense for firebird to have impact force (With a "rocket" effect, y'know?) and maybe freeze (snowball fight?) but isida, no. That would be super unrealistic. Because of this this wouldn't ever be implemented. He also stated isida wouldn't be able to do anything.
