Ideas for Game Modes!

Paintball Watch Tutorial

Paint balling is an exciting game to play that's why i'm suggesting it to tanki, recently tanki has blew my mind after they flexed their abilities by developing an unique piece of art.  

before proceeding to my main objective i will start by mentioning the extra mechanisms that this mode will be needing, the requirements to reach its highest potential. Let me introduce you to the mechanisms that this magnificent mode will be requiring. After witnessing the Remastered version of sandbox  my ideas requirements was partially fulfilled. The new remaster will only support my suggestion here by a lot and i appreciate them for their creativity and their hard work. But the remaster will only support the background of my idea yet i experience to see with my naked eyes the most magnificent thing ever developed by the hands of the alternative platform developers , excitement overflowed and i couldn't wait to share my idea. 

The mechanism i was talking about goes by the name of:

Extensions:

  • Smoke signal - this will support you to seek for help by activating it and shooting it into the sky to expose your location so your allies can come to your rescue. second way it could be useful is to lure you enemies into a trap by shooting it and hiding then ambushing them without them noticing. This extension will be placed on the left and right side of your tank , you will only have 6 smoke cartridges in possession so use it wisely. Once finished you will not receive anymore. but can collect smoke signal cartridge boxes to restore your smoke signals. but they will be hard to find.  
  • Thrust-er -  this will help you to constantly thrust your self off the floor, use to move fast around the pitch and also use it to hop onto trees , boulders etc...  This extension will be palced beneath your tank ready to hop when ever time you want it. But it will have limited fuel so you have to search for fuel boxes to refill you fuel tank.
  • Smoke bomb launcher - This could be use for two possible times: When your blocked and you have no chance in fighting you can throw and flee, second time is to use it for ambush , throw and attack. of course you can see through your own smoke so you can escape of attack with no problem but you might be leaking your location so you better watch out before you get ambushed. This extension will be place at the back of your hull. You can collect smoke bomb boxes to receive more of them.

After that i suggest them to make this mode an unique remastered pitch with solid trees and lots of obstetrical, a large pitch containing every forest and jungles materials including woods. some mountains , wooden bridges and wooden houses.  Now let me start on explaining how this mode will work. from both teams a target will be appointed targeted. both teams have to eliminate their target to receive a point. once a target is eliminated he will be put on standby mode , at that position he could only more around but not shoot. if his team destroys a target he return to assault mode and he can freely destroy an enemy. you can destroy any enemy but that specific enemy wouldn't get you a point and nothing will happen to him. each disqualified player will return to his original position accordingly depending on when he was put on standby. first to 8 points, you have to protect the Allie which is targeted and destroy you target.

Game Mode: hornet/Wasp & Firebird | Death Match

This is a really fun game idea that my friends and I used to play back in 2014 in private games. I think it should be added as a game mode as it was the most enjoyable mode for me!

A lot of times in Assault mode the team of flags earns a lot of scoring by capturing flags(50 scores for one flag!), compared to the other team who earn a score only from destroying the enemy's tanks. And then there's a situation where even if the defensive team wins, they have far less scoring than the flags team. Which I think is a little absurd... 

So what I'm actually suggest is that the players of the defensive team will earn more scores in destroying tanks that carry flag, like 30 scores instead of 15.

And that way I think Assault mode will be more balanced and better for both teams and not just for one.

First lest talk about the idea of this mode and the mechanics you need for it.JUGGERNAUT, CONTROL POINTS, and FLAGS.The idea of this mode is somehow ,as we have many modes in the game, to make one that combines best of all 3, and to get a new mode to eSports that is mutch more captivating.

! As i saw in many esports game, the batteles have somehow stages, for exaple chess- Beginning(developing and building)

                                                                                                                                                         Midgame(advancing,securing and getting material)

                                                                                                                                                         Endgame(placing and ending)

This is just an example of stages.This kind of stages you can find in many eSports games like DOTA/League/CS:GO/etc

As in tanki: Lets have a CTF battle(i believe this battle has stages represented the best)  Beginning -  Preparing defence and spliting the team in defence and atack

                                                                                                                                                             Midgame -  Atacking and defending/Killing the mine placer

                                                                                                                                                             Endgame - Defending flags/Full atacking (that if the game is really tight )

This is how would look a really good match, but in tanki (not talking about eSport) this is really rare because of unbalanced teams , or fast start (and the guys that come with hopper and super speed bost  )

Now as i talked about the main reason of this gamemode, lest talk about the mode itself.As i said up it will contain the JUGGERNAUT, CONTROL POINTS, and FLAGS.

Flags :Flags are placed as on CTF ,maybe on a flag platform for a more distinct look.

Points:

-----So point that are to be captured ,3,are placed on the map equaly distant from each other.The main think about them is the fact that each point represent a suply(excepting mines).So we have 3 points and 3 suplyes (Armor/Speed/Damage)Capturing 1 point alow the team that captured it to use boosted damage or make it powerefull as drones do. Oance a point is caputred , it cannot be uncaptured so the team that captured the point have the designated point suply bonus.But maybe is better that you can caputre the points that has already been captured and you make the enemy team loose the bonus they have.   

***Mines maybe can be placed just in defence zone, but who know what numbers will say about his game mode.

-----Maybe anoother ideea is that for each point is assigned a sector on the map that alows players to activate suplyes/or to give them a boost of armor/damege/speed. Example : Point A is on the  left side of the map so by capturing the point a 1/3 f the map (left side ) gives the team theat captured it a suply boost .

Juggernaut:Each team has 1 Juggernaut.Juggernaut is as the queen in a chess game,is the one that you suport untill it dies. And this is one tactic and game changing fact ,once it is destroyed ,the player that controlled it, is spwaning as normal tank player and no other player get it again.So if the jug from your team diet , this is it ,bye bye jug for this game.

P.S. Maybe the jug should have slower speed/armor/or damage than the normal one.

How the mode works? It is simple! Capture the enemy flags ,but this time will be more tactic because you get a jug to destroy/doge and some points to caputre to keep you suplies up.

So the stages of this game mode come like this     Beginning - Preparing defence and capturing points

                                                                                          Midgame - Keeping points and destroying enemy jug,capturing flags,and strongholding defence.

                                                                                          Endgame - As both jugs are dead ,this is the stage where thinks get more intense.You have to defend/atack the flag but also to keep the points.

So this would be my idea about a game mode like this.Yes , i didn t take in consideration drones that are a game changer but maybe if developers and players like this mode, maybe they will get a place for drones too.

it hasn’t even been viewed by anyone, and what got me more furious is that it took me time to develop such an idea ? and the amount of effort I put in it just went to wast. On top of that it was one ☝️ of exclusive ideas and I come to realise it went down the drain. Don’t you think??

Sir all I can say is, "Don't assume things more than you can handle". Firstly, each and every I&S curator viewed your topic, your topic is about a new game mode which fits under the main category of "Ideas for Game modes" which you can see in the main page of I&S section where all categories are listed.
We put merge tag on topics that fall under specific categories, so that in the end, players who want to view all the different ideas for Game modes presented by people, can do so in the same place because all the similar ideas get merged there.
Lastly I would say that if in a topic having merge tag on top, there is inactivity for a week i.e. nobody has commented anything for the past week, then we finally merge it into the main Category (here, the main category is Ideas for Game modes) and then notify the person who made the topic by saying "Topic Merged" and that's it, till then the topic remains as a unique topic of its own in the duration of active discussion.

We all know how much effort and time you invested in this topic,  you have our praise and keep up the good work ?

I've said this a lot of times, and still continue to say so, every idea, except ones with declined and invalid tags, get forwarded to the developers. So even if this one has merge tag, we forward it to the developers. I suppose that is what matters, at the end of the day.

And just so that you know, we have already forwarded your idea to the developers :)

Hi,
I have been playing tanki for many years, and have noticed that recently tanki is lacking innovation to attract players to the game. I understand that you are improving graphics, but that is a cosmetic element, the game needs some real mechanical changes. 
 
There are many players who have quit the game or have been disheartened by the recent updates made in the past year or two. These include expanding the modules from M0-M3 to Mk1-Mk7, making supplies "boosted" instead of "double", adding too many augments to all turrets which reduced the uniqueness of each turret, fixing the damage instead of keeping it random in a certain range, adding critical damage to all turrets, etc. it may be hard to reverse some of these changes now, but I do have some suggestions that i think are cool for upcoming events. 
 
1: On black friday, make a special map where all Gold boxes that drop are black boxes. 
 
2: Have a special event once a month over a weekend where players receive random awards from battles. It should be DM mode and the 1st place player in every battle should receive a random reward such as containers, tankoins, supplies, Gold boxes, instead of crystals. This will make the game competitive as players will compete to earn the 1st place in every battle. However, again, this should only be done once a month over a weekend so that it remains special. 
 
3: On Christmas, you should prepare a war once again between different factions. The same war where players vote to attack a specific territory and defend one on the special map. Would love to see the war again!! :)
 
4: I think that the value of Gold boxes is lost and players no longer pay much attention to the Gold boxes anymore. I believe that the mechanics of gold boxes need to be reworked so that they are more special. I have no suggestions for this and it is completely up to you as to what you would like to do.
 
I really hope my suggestions prove useful and would love to see them implemented in the game!

Special modes
This festive mode is like never before! A new map, A new mode, A new gold and finaly everyone will have bonk + wasp equipted.

Mode: Solo against thirsty pirets with B0-NKs
⦁    Additional rule: all supplies
⦁    Increased gold box rate
⦁    Maps: New remasterd map called Treasure land
⦁    Duration: 15 minutes
This is how this event works:
The golds in this festive mode will actually give gold, take it as a minigame in tanki it self. everyplayer will have its own base which is also his place of respawning. In the center of the map is the area where all golds drop, these golds will have its unique thematic look. many drop at once and will keep dropping. bare in mind these gold won't give you any crystal! players have to catch these golds just like rugby then go back to their base. every ones base will be at the edge of the map,, in the form of a mini cave, inside a gigantic pit. players can't enter but they can drop the cartridge of gold into that pit, its just for that nice look. every one has a gold bank, till the end of the battle players have to collect as much golds as posible. everytime only 4 gold cartridges drop, for more , those cartridges have to get deliverd. the thrill to this mode is to snatch golds from each other by destroying each other. the amount will be counted in a way, it will be mentioned below.

⦁    Gold Drop Rate: 4 at a time at different amounts
⦁    Amount of players: 16 players
⦁    Amount of bases: 16 bases
⦁    Amount of gold box plots: 4 gold box plots
⦁    Battle Duration: 15 minutes
⦁    Mode: DM
⦁    Increased gold box rate
⦁    Maps: 1 Map
⦁    Map Size: Meduim

Treasure Hunting mini game

A minigame - Death race for Treasure
The second one will be the hightlight of this event mode. its an mini game on a different site. one of which is a gold race, where a certain amount of players are playing in one group. everyplayer will be put in groups and will race, on the race track will be piles of gold in different amounts. if the player infront of you gets it , it will not apear again. every 10 seconds a player gets terminated, it is the last player which is going to be terminated so chill! till the last 3 players the game will carry on.  There will be obstacles on the track to either slow you down or speed up, beware of these obstacles

its as simple as get the gold cartage then drop it off in your pit. the more golds the more crystals you earn at the end of the battle. the more kills the experiance you earn.

Yeah, I get it. The whole 16 bases + raining golds + keeping track and recording all the data aspect feels like it would be hectic, though. Again, I like the idea. It's a good idea :D. It would be fun.
