Ideas for Game Modes!

To encourage team play, I think there should just be a visual indicator on screen like maybe a jpeg of the "f" key to signify you can actually throw the ball.

Juggernaut mode needs a rework.

After the recent update of a wait time before loading battle objectives (Eg. 1 min delay before flags are loaded), it's possible to always become Juggernaut in TJR by exploiting a feature. People are hopping from battle to battle just to get the Juggernaut first instead of playing normally.

In Solo Juggernaut (SJR), the same problem that existed in TJR before is still there: The person who loads fastest in battle will always get the Juggernaut tank, which is extremely unfair to others with slower PCs.

 

Here's what I suggest:

TJR: Until 13 minutes are remaining on the clock, it is essentially TDM mode. No one gets the Juggernaut.

After the timer hits 13:00, everyone automatically self-destructs (Doesn't add to deaths in Leaderboard), and a random person gets the Juggernaut. 

 

SJR: Same, but at 14:00.

This is actually a no for me, basically I am against the concept of everybody dying and refreshing at the same time. As said by numerous people previously, sometimes I am middle of killing an enemy, using my Viking Overdrive, so basically self-destructing would be a downfall for me.

As for your argument for SJR, it is different from TJR. Earlier, the tanker with the fastest connection would have joined the TJR battle as Jugg, but after that any random dying player could become a TJR, leaving you dormant if you didn't die at the proper time. 

But it is different in SJR, even if the fastest person becomes the Jugg at the start of the battle, the person who kills the Jugg becomes the next Jugg, not a random choosing, you can always claim the Jugg for yourself a number of times in the same battle by killing the SJR.

So don't use Overdrives till after the Juggernaut has been selected. It's that simple.

You would only be losing a maximum of 1-2 kills if everyone self-destructs at the same time, and in return you get a much more fair system of the Juggernaut being selected. How is that not good?

So what are you trying to say? That it's fair and the system isn't being exploited if a person always has the ability to become the Juggernaut first in any battle he plays?

Yes, a person can get the Juggernaut tank if the previous Juggernaut got destroyed, but in a lot of cases this does not happen. Especially in big maps like Massacre.

Same argument applies here. Is it not much more fair if a random person becomes Juggernaut first, instead of it being given to the person who loads first into battle?

Although a valid point, it still holds true that getting the juggernaut first is the most desirable situation, so I understand the frustration of those who never spawn as a juggernaut because if their hardware/internet connection. Especially when it's a lower GS player, who can hardly destroy a 9999GS Juggernaut, I can imagine spawning as one from time to time could really lighten up their mood.

As per the original suggestion, I don't see the need to extend the prep time to 2min in TJR.

In my opinion, the ideal solution would be to keep the delay period as is in TJR (and add at least 30s one to SJR), after this period a random player is chosen, self-destructed and respawns as a juggernaut. The rest of the team keeps playing without any disturbance.

I would like to note. This has been possible even before the recent change, it just made it painfully obvious when people are doing so.

Quick question, what kind of weirdo pops nuclear supply on viking overdrive (because otherwise you're not getting it within the wait period), and then pops it before the match even starts? What are you doing?

Unfortunately, fairness is not something people on the forum understand. If you paid for an advantage, like status effects, protections, immunities, a better connection, what right do the developers have to take it away from you?

The self-destruct & random person gets the Juggernaut part seems pretty good to me.
idk about the 13 minute thing, but it can be TDM until the map is full instead of waiting 2 minutes, and then everyone self destructs.

Click bait.  Just kidding lol.

The devs have been giving out more and more event modes where drones aren't allowed.  I suggest that in those modes, boosted Armor and damage becomes double damage and double armour.  Meaning, 100% boost armour and damage thanks! Cuz only with 100% Boosted armour can a light hull survive terminator one shot.

Has anyone wanted a game mode like Among Us in tanki online?

No augments or protections can show for anyone on the score screen. I could think of special tunnels only impostors can access which could function like venting. No emergency meetings. When tanks are dead, they should rust up and remain there for 1 minute. The chat feature should work so you can accuse those of being the impostor(s).

  • Impostor: Is given a unique augment that kills players in one shot. They can see who the other impostors are.
  • Crewmates: Kill the impostor. Crewmates also have missions that they have to complete and crewmates can kill each other. They don't know who the impostors are.

Number of impostors:

  • 1 impostor: 6-10 players
  • 2 impostors: 11-15
  • 3 impostors: 16-23 players
  • 4 impostors: 24-31 players
  • 5 impostors: 32 or more players

Sounds real fun on paper, but I doubt it would get implemented as a proper game mode. It could though serve as an inspiration for a community event, perhaps, once those are reinstated again.

But anyways, yeah like what fred said, this would probably be really hard to implement in this game. 

I would LOVE to see this mode in the game though! Something not competitive, just a fun mode on the weekend or something.

Just a couple things I would like to be made more clear:

Would this be like a DM mode where anyone can kill anyone? Crewmates and kill other crewmates and impostors can kill other impostors.

What tasks would there be for you to complete? Collecting supplies? Capturing flags, balls, attacking base, or drive around the map to a certain location?

Would there be a cooldown of this augment that kills players in one shot? If I was an impostor under these conditions, I would use shaft and arcade and have infinite range knowing I can kill anyone in one shot.

Well it can be hidden as long as its labeled as Quality spam and is worshipped frequently.

In this " Bomb man " mode, player can only use Wasp and a special turret which deliver only 1 damage but enough impact force. And the overdrive of wasp reloads very fast. It can be available during some festivals.
