Ideas for Game Modes!

Not sure about the second idea, but the first one seems great.

And what more, the name of the battle should contain the name of the required equipment.

It would be hard to find such player's. IMO it is one more kind of Custom Format battle's like xp/bp. Tanki is a diverse game and all players with same equipment would not suit the gameplay and would look boring.

The "Combination" mode battle does not need to contain the name of the equipment. For example, like in Pro battles, there shall be a symbol for the type of equipment being applied such as (turret, hull and paint), as welll as all the names of the turrets, hulls and paints selected.

 

This type of battle shall not be a Pro battle. It shall be a stand type of battle like the current "Deathmatch" (DM), "Team Deathmatch" (TDM), "Capture The Flag" (CTF) and "Control Point" (CP) modes.

 

Just to let you know, players can select between one to as many turrets, hulls and paints as they want. Because of that, players shall not wear the same equipment. All players can choose whatever turret, hull and paint to wear.

 

No Premium accounts or Pro Battle Passes required.

There are some maps in Tanki Online where there are some battle modes missing. They are on the following maps:

 

Arena

 

Duel

 

Hill

 

Ping-Pong

 

On the Arena map there is no CTF (Capture The Flag) mode.

 

On the Duel map there are two battle modes missing. They are CTF (Capture The Flag) and CP (Control Points).

 

On the Hill map there is no CP (Control Points) mode.

 

On the Ping-Pong map there is no CP (Control Points) mode.

 

Please make sure that those missing battle modes are added to those maps, regardless of their size.

First of, if some of these are given specific battle modes, it would be over powered. For example, if Ping-Pong got CP, no one would ever win because by the time someone someone captures a point, it will be taken immediately by the opponents. Also, if Arena got CTF, then people would just farm flags, because the distance between the ends of the map is really short.

But it has buildings, which provide some type of obstacle

Duel has a few walls and the little hole divet thingy too....its not much....but its probebly similar to Island for diffficulty in CTF. Plus, many people would probebly pick a heavey/medium hull anyways because of the openness and the small area, inlike Island where many will do waso or hornet. I do see alot of vikings there though

Duel is an inverted and shrunken version of Sandbox.

Island is a map so small Mammoth-Firebird is actually effective.

Huh...never thought of it that way.....i always did think they looked strikeingly similar thoigh...i guess the devs made it for those plyers who like heavey-medium/Heavey hulls...lol

I would like to see a watch mode where you can watch and overview the game.

it is called spectator mode which is already there and used by autherised people in TO star ladder battles

Yes, I know I should post this in Ideas for Game Modes! but I feel like it wouldn't get enough attention or development there. Mods, if you absolutely feel the need to merge the topics, go ahead, but I would prefer to keep it separate to allow as much discussion and development as possible. Please do not close this. I have looked in the Ideas for Game Modes topic and this idea hasn't been discussed much there.

 

Rankup mode:

  • Like TDM and Parkour mode
  • No time/kill/flag limit
  • Auto-finish off
  • No battle fund
  • No self-destruct zones besides obvious off-the-map areas and height barriers
  • 2 teams: Ranking team (Red) and Victim team (Blue)
  • Players joining Ranking team must have 100 or less EXP to rank and must be granted permission to join Ranking team by the battle creator
  • Victim team cannot gain EXP
  • PRO battle
  • Creator of battle must have 100 or less EXP to rank
  • Creator of battle can kick misbehaving players
  • Victim team cannot do damage or knockback from shots, mines will still have their explosion impact effect but do not deal damage
  • EXP gain can be turned on/off by the creator of the battle
  • If the original battle creator wishes to leave, he/she must appoint a new battle "creator" before leaving otherwise the original battle creator cannot leave
  • Original battle creator can appoint "co-creators" to help. Permissions include: kicking misbehaving players, granting access to players wishing to join Ranking team
  • Players that wish to join Ranking team: A dialogue with the request will appear in the top right, similar to battle invites, only appearing to the battle creator and co-creators, with "Accept" or "Decline" choices. Note that the request will only go through if you qualify to join Ranking team (100 or less EXP to rank). If you do not qualify, a dialogue will pop-up informing the player that he/she does not qualify to join Ranking team.
  • Anyone can join Victim team
  • Once the players on Ranking team have ranked up, they will be given 5 minutes to leave the battle. Once all players on the Ranking team have left, everyone else will be removed from the battle.
  • Customizable battle name (Chat moderators can terminate the battle if it violates any of the game rules)
  • Custom invite notification: When inviting other players to the rankup battle, the recipient will receive a normal invite saying " ___ invites you to a rankup!" with the normal options "Accept" and "Decline"

 

Of course, there is always more of this to develop. :)

True, but can normal players use it? Iv wanted to try it before, but i haven't really looked into it enough to know that or not. Im actually just too lazy atm to do it :P

Do you know why it's so hard to organize rankups? Because nobody listens and everyone is killing each other and no one can do anything about it. Also because of the self-destruct zones on normal maps you cannot do cool rankups anymore because most of the cool spots are self-destruct zones. And have you ever heard of accidental rankups?

you can mess with the camera settings to make it move slower and stop but it's not a good as spectator :'(
