Ideas for Game Modes!

I have a suggestion regarding battle funds in private/format battles: Since such battles are played between friends/clan mates and such in order to test/improve skill and having fun, regular battle fund system is not right. but completely disabling funds will make them to worthless and discouraging.

Therefore, add a new funding system:

Option-1: every player contribute X amount of crystals (X for all players is equal, set by battle creator), winning team gets funds distributed according to score and losing team get nothing. (In my opinion this is more fun)

Option-2: funds still come from players but distributed based only on score. winning or losing doesn't matter.

Option-Clan battles: add something like clan fund and use it to fund inter/intra clan battles.

Hi there tankers, Mods, Admins, etc.

I wanted to get other people's opinions about how they would feel about a summer themed mode. All the "NEW" modes that tanki has been bringing out has been somewhat "BORING" and yall keep bringing back the old and it's kinda being lazy if you ask me.... So I thought maybe you can make a new mode that's something like dodge ball. It can be something like rugby with a more round ball and there's some tanks that will be on the throwing team and some on the dodging team. Each person on the dodging team has 3 lives and all the dodgers will have wasps while the throwers will have hornet. You will be able to tell what team is which by the hull or a themed paint. I think this mode will be a lot of fun considering how you guys keep bringing the same thing back out over and over again with something a tad different..... Hope you guys like the idea and same with the community. Good Luck and Stay Safe.

Problem is with "lending" players free hulls just for a game (hornet and wasp in this case) is that there's no point in upgrading your equipment and you can progress just by playing this mode, especially considering that killing (shooting) is not even the objective of this game mode.

they can make it to where everything that they use is mk1 you know so then they will still hae to grind for the upgrades for other battles

Unfortunately, that doesn't happen. Instead of being paid, you get to see a game mode of your creation/liking within the game, that should be payment in itself.

I'd suggest Quest mode: fighting 1v1 against a strong Juggernaut in order to receive permanent boost on one  of the parameters of your turret/hull/protection module/etc.

The catch is that you have to defeat the Juggernaut for a three minutes(may be changed if the devs decide to do so). If you succeed you get the boost and your deaths during the fight are ignored in your overall K/D.

If you lose, the only thing that happens is that your deaths count.

Sometimes, you may encounter a Prime Juggernaut. He'll have maximum twice as much health, however if you win, you'll get two or three boosts(the number doesn't depend on PJ's health). Also you'll have 4:30 minutes to kill him.

First - NO - the very strong (likely only ones to defeat this Prime JUG) will just get stronger.  We don't need more of that.

Secondly - why?  You are getting a permanent boost - as if a few deaths matters - at all.

Playing on alt accounts made me realize that there are a ton of noobs who unironically use Firebird/Titan. They're supposed to win against a Legend how?

Pack of hornets would nullify your protections.  Throw in some dictators to speed that up.  ?

I'd still choose my Hornet though. It's fast & the damage they do won't be a big problem as it's very small

We already have Rugby in which is a football-based game where we capture a ball on the other team's side while getting blasted, etc.

Can we make a new mode with basketball? Here's how it would look and go:

  • We have a round and bigger-sized ball for this mode.
  • There can be a hoop or basket created by the tanki online company. (It should be a big diameter size to throw the ball into.)
  • The hoop/basket can be placed higher than the tanks.
  • Tankers can throw the ball higher and farther than in Rugby Mode.
  • We can have the basketball on top of the tank, and it can be moving up and down to show bouncing.
  • We can throw and pass the ball to each other and also throw it in the basket.

This can be a pretty nice mode. Please think about it.

Basically, each kill done in modes where killing is not the main objective, namely CTF and Rugby [not Assault, Seige, CP *], should award 10 battle points, as in DM, to prevent players from sitting back in the base and camping. This will provide an incentive (or say, compulsion) for grinders to support the main objective, for if they don't, it would be very hard to get the top positions for 3 stars.

Points for killing the flag/ball carrier (not in ASL) will be increased to compensate those who can't possibly deliver flags or score goals (such as Titan-Shafts). Also, killing an enemy inside the region in close proximity of the flag (or point in RGB) will award the normal 15 score, since that counts as defending the flag.

This will drive star-hungry grinders away from these modes, providing better quality battles.

*Seige, CP and Assault actually have killing as a primary objective to defend/capture points, hence the idea doesn't necessarily apply to them.

I think it should apply to CP as well.  I've been on CP teams that had 5 campers - expecting 3 of us to do all the dirty work while the campers protect their cough "valuable" k/d.

For me, I can still manage a KD of 2 or higher even if I actually play the objective. My main account has really strong equipment for its rank. So even if I really try to get the 6k GS players or lower to kill me, they'll have a tough time managing it.

Question is should I on my main account have to carry my team all the time because it can't manage it, or should they be able to carry themselves?

 

But who knows, maybe since this whole stars situation became a thing, playing the objective no longer gives sufficient rewards.

Agreed.

Which is why I want CP kills to score less.  The objective is to capture points.  I want most of my team out there doing that - not just me and 2 others dying all the time as we are exposed.
