Ideas for Supplies and Drones!

Drones keep running out of batteries so quickly. Supplies don't need batteries, so they would be more beneficial as players can activate them whenever they need.

Drones are not meant to be active ALL the time.

 

You need to learn how to play the game without power-ups sometimes.  You can't always be doing extra damage.  Suck-it up buttercup.

A couple of ideas to extend game functionality and prolong its limited lifespan. Let me know what you think in the comments.  :)

 

  • The idea is that a supply / feature can be added that will enable you to heal after every kill. After every kill you get healed immediately. To balance this the repair kit is disabled. 
  • A force field / rotating damage ring that will deal damage to the enemy whenever they are within range of you, like 3 - 5 meters range. 
  • A new overdrive / power-up that rains down meteorites down on the enemy base. Could be added to the planned hovering tank.
  • A supply / power-up / overdrive enabling you to jump briefly.

I like it. The first and second idea sounds more like a drone, although Hazel said that they don't plan to add any more drones since, according to him, the current 13 drones cover all drone-like functionality. The meteorite ability sounds unfitting, but it could be a new overdrive I guess.

 

Jumping really sounds cool. I feel like to make it more useful, it should also push away enemies and deal damage at the point of the jump, but to balance it out the jump should have a power-up delay, like Hunter.

Yes, I know I can edit my posts. Sometimes I drop ideas and feedback replies to people and forget to put them all together in one post.

You do it way too often. It would be better for everyone if you put all responses in one post and used the quote feature to help people understand who you're responding to (and also to send them a notification).

I avoid using the quote button because it duplicates text that was previously written, so that I don't get a ban on spam.

You won't get banned for using quotes correctly. If it's a short message (like your message I'm quoting here, or perhaps up to 6 lines long), then you can just quote the whole thing. Also, if you want to respond to just part of a message, you can quote it and then manually delete the extra text, only leaving the part you actually want to respond to.

 

Quoting only becomes a problem when you quote a huge post (like an announcement or article) when you only wanted to add a short reply. And even then we never directly ban for it - we just edit the post to remove the big quote.

 

So all in all, it would be much better if you used quotes and put all your responses in one post instead of making 3-4 posts in a row, because that is actually spam.

I know that you can't always do extra damage. Having a Triple Damage supply won't hurt.

It won't hurt you until you're on the receiving end of it. Imagine. Stock Shaft M4 with Booster 20/20 and TD can one-shot any JGR. Yes, Stock Shaft. No HCs required.

Increasing the prices will make buyers a bit careful about using them, i'm sicked of players who can't play 1 second without pressing the numbers above the keybroad.

My suggestion is about "Triple Damage Boxes", which would add some extra damage points to firepower for 30 seconds. Those Triple Damage Boxes would be rarer than Double Damage Boxes but somewhat more common than the Nuclear Energy supply. My best guess in popularity would be 50/50 that ranges between the Nuclear Energy supply and Double Damage Boxes.

 

It existed a landmine that when stepped on, it made the central part jump in the air and explode affecting a 360°space. Maybe my English is broken, so a link may be better https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-mine#/media/File:Bouncing-mine.svg

Upon activation of this supply, you are able to infect a single or multiple tank and deal continuous damage to them per second without being in contact of them.

Having a matchmaking choice where players can choose to enter battles with or without drugs would be very ideal. At the moment, I have no drugs, so it is hard for me to earn kills and points. The bad news is that enemies are now taking more advantage of me because I am weaker, which in-turn does affect game balance.

 

A landmine that creates havoc in the middle of mines would be good, but it would be best to have alterations for mines with many effects for mines.

 

An infection virus that is contagious is a great idea. This would help players that are bad at playing Tanki Online. This is similar to the afterburn of firebird, but more effective.

Trade in supplies.

I don't think this falls under refund/selling but if it does, no worries.

 

It'd be interesting to be able to trade in supplies for other ones.  

eg you have masses of armour but no speed so you trade in for half the value to get some.

Thoughts?

I play this game long time and XP issnt easy to get so i think that u should think about XP drop boxes.

My idea is to add in game 3 type of xp ''gold box''

 

1)1000 xp

2)3000 xp

3)5000 xp

 

this idea is very simple, (u can change it, if you think that xp there is to much), if xp drop will be rare then add higher xp, if its regular then add low xp drop

Just make the gold not to drop too early I cant even find where it drops please it drops too early than the past update.

The gold box was 30 seconds and now 5 seconds? really ? thats stupid we cant even know where it drops so I cannot take the gold only if I found where it drops.

also with a huge map its impossible to find it, it will drop and one lucky person who found the dropping place accidentally will take it -______________________-

Please make it 30 secs again :C

That would interrupt the flow of already short MM battles. With this short duration, you can decide that there is almost 0 chance to get the gold so you focus on the objective. With 30 seconds, you have this mindless scramble for the spot. You can see the gold from a distance if it is not behind a building. 

 

And the gold box takes 10 seconds to appear in the sky and 10 seconds to fall to the ground.

Test Boxes 1 to 20:


1. Sentry Gun: Places a Sentry Gun that automatically shoots Enemies. Can be disabled by the Hunter's Overdrive.


2. Thermal Vision: Activates the Thermal Vision Optics, Good use at Night Battles.


3.Teleporter: Places 2 Teleporters to transport one Ally (Except Enemies) from Entrance to Exit. If it carries a Flag or a Ball, They will be dropped instantly.


4. Air Strike: Calls a Bomber Plane to attack Enemies on a Targeted Area.


5. Ice Trap: Freezes Enemies when Activated. (Can be used as a Mine)


6. Smoke Bomb: Creates a Smoke to make your Allies become Invisible.

13. Enslave: Causes an Enemy Tank to attack it's own Teammates.


14. Multigun: Attaches 2 Automatic Turrets on your Hull to cause more damage to Enemies.


15. Gold/Poison: Gives you 1000 Crystals.* Poisons your Tank.** (*As Gold/**As Poison)


16. Vortex: Places a Bomb with a Timer that pulls Enemies to it and destroys them if they're caught in it's Explosion.
