Ideas for Supplies and Drones!

as more and more players start using drone and op drones such as crisis, defender, booster 

there should be a counter to it like everything in this game has a counter for ex the electromagnetic salvo for gauss now has emp immunity

 

the done protection will render other drones useless like say for ex if enemy has defender it will just ignore it 

 

IMPORTANT: the drone protection is drone specific like ignoring tanks with added defense will be 1 drone protection such as defender and another separate protection will be ignoring added damage from enemy tanks like booster.

 

the module will take up 1 slot and you will be giving up on 50% protection from any turret which is huge 

or it can be added on to the hull without taking up a slot 

 

its a surprise why this hasn't been added no wonder a lot of ppl hate drone and now with the new crisis drone it will definitely ruin gameplay although for the few lucky crisis drone users "ie buyers" haha  they will have a good time but the majority of players hate drones and one of the main reasons why people leave 

 

adding simple counters like this will help

What if Brutus used no batteries at all? instead it could rely on a kill/battery system where it could gain charge from damage done, so if you hit a nice railgun shot the drone could be powered for an extra 30 seconds? It wouldn't be that OP as it is arguably one of the worse drones, and would be more economical  for new players (like me) to try out drones and actually have a chance against a supply-spam player, I personally feel that the game is tipping the balance of Unplayable for F2P's. It's just an idea though.

To be honest this is not a new Drone, but a balance.

 

Lifeguard Drone Balance:

 When receiving fatal damage it will clear the cooldowns on your supplies and you will get Immunity against all type of damages.

 

So It will look like this:

Icon drone reload.png Recharge: 20s

Icon drone instant heal.png Healing: (250 → 3000) hp

Icon drone additional armor.pngImmunity: (1 → 3) s

 

Icon drone supply reload speed increase.png Clears Supplies cooldown when receiving fatal damage

Repair Kits consumed: 3

 

 

I want this to be applied to the game  because If you look at Defender drone It gives you +200% Armor for 15 seconds, and 10 seconds of Double Armor

cooldown plus each time you use a Supply your Double Armor cooldown will be reduced by 10  seconds also the Drone dountdown is just 3 seconds as well.

That means a fully upgraded Medium Hull can have 12.000 HP for 15 seconds, and the cooldown will be 50 seconds on the Double Armor, BUT

If you use let's say Double Damage and Speed Boost (or Mine even Repair kit) you will get -20 seconds cooldown, that means you can use Double Armor

again again and again without stopping, so it's kinda like Hyperion Drone in a way. So you can have +200% HP on and on.

I think I proved my point, It's all up to you guys now ? ❤️

It would be cool in Tanki if we could sell supplies we have to buy different ones.

It could be just exchanging one kind of supply for another in the ratio the prices are.

Hi guys,
I'd like to suggest something that I call the Mirror supply, name can be changed (It's kinda kiddish) but what the supply does, is that it would direct the shot back towards the shooter when used( Like when Tank A shoots at Tank B, but Tank B has this supply on, then Tank A would receive the damage, and Tank B would be safe). Since that would mean that the user of this supply would be invulnerable in battle as long as the supply is active, there would be either 
>> The supply would only be active in one direction for 30 seconds, meaning that only the damage received from the direction of the turret would bounce back, shots received from sides or the back would continue to damage
                                                                                                                 >>or<<
>> The supply would only be active for around 3 seconds, or less, or more, depending on the dev's opinion.

I think this would bring about a few interesting game play changes, so please consider it.

The drones shouldn't take additional normal supplies, they should take for example more batteries if powerful. Because the batteries are expensive enough, there is no need for another supplies to be taken.

Idea for a new drone called: Quattro. It allows you to have 4 protection modules instead of three. However the value of each module will be less. I will explain with an example.

Let's assume you have 50% fire protection, 45% magnum protection, 35% twins protection, 25% striker protection, 20% freeze protection and 10% shaft protection.

Level 0 of Quattro drone will give the precentage of protection - 20%. So you can have 30% fire protection, 25% magnum protection, 15% twins protection and 5% striker protection. Freeze and Shaft protection will give you 0% protection against those turrets using quattro drone.

Each upgrade of the Quattro drone will give an additional 1% for only one of the slots. Level 1 Quattro drone will give 31% fire protection (If it is in the first slot) and all other modules will stay the same. Level 2 Quattro drone will give 31% fire protection and 26% magnum protection (if it is in the second spot) and the other two modules are the same as level 0. This goes on until level 20 of the Quattro drone which give all module minus 15%. In the above example you have 35% fire protection, 30% magnum protection, 20% twins protection and eaither 10% striker protection or 5% freeze protection. Shaft protection will still be 0%.

Therefore if you have all protection modules at 50% and level 20 Quattro module, you can get 35% protection for each of the 4 modules. Together it is 140% instead of 150% which is the case without the drone. So you get  protection against 4 modules, but the trade off is that you have less overall precentage,

50% for four modules is too much. Usually each drone gives ability in exchange for supplies. This ability is to enable protection against 4 turrets, but 200% is way too much. Maybe I was a bit tight with the protection, but protection of 40% per module (is you have the drone fully leveled and also the modules) will give a total of 160% which with the batteries looks ok. Maybe a double armor per minute also needs to be consumed if you want to use this drone.

I suggested at an earlier time 2 options...

Original... up 2 3x50

PLUS ability to equip a 4th module.  Max 4 x40.  AND... if 4 protections equipped it is -10% on each slot.  To get 40% you HAVE to equip a 50% module.   This is mk7+ ... scale the nerf down for mk6, mk5, etc.

I think it would be interesting, as well as the additional armor and damage parameters that the drone gives, depending on its level of improvement. It is a passive.

Are you advocating pay-to-win? Because it sounds very much like you are advocating for a pay-to-win system right now... Don't you see anything wrong with that?

But you did not address the level of the drone itself. Drones can be upgraded, you know...

I really don't see how you can mix drones with protections.

What happens if you equip 3 protection modules AND also have this drone?

Leave protections to the actual modules.  My suggestion on enhanced modules allows for up to 4 protections.  No need for a drone to be involved.

Some new drones

So, we have four major categories of drones: AssaultDefensive, Support and Passive.

Assault drones

  • Gunner — after using DD_symbol.png deals damage to nearby enemies.
  • Speedster — after using Speed_symbol.png slightly increases the effect with Icon_speed_extra.png for a long time.
  • Charger — speeds up the recharge time of Repair_symbol.pngDA_symbol.pngDD_symbol.pngSpeed_symbol.pngMine_symbol.png when the tank moves without stopping for some time.

Defensive drones

  • Repeater — after placing a Mine_symbol.png drops certain number of Mine_symbol.png in one place.
  • Armadillo — after using a DA_symbol.png gives Icon_Immunity.png for a short time.
  • Joker — after the expiration of the duration of DA_symbol.pngDD_symbol.pngSpeed_symbol.png, imposes anIcon_EMP.png on itself and nearby enemies.

Support drones

  • Healer — after using Repair_symbol.png increase its healing time and and protects it from interruption.
  • Minelayer — after placing a Mine_symbol.png will also place additional Mine_symbol.png under nearby allies.
  • Conductor — increases the power of 20px-Nuclear_Energy_icon.png and charges overdrives of nearby allies.
  • Ghost — greatly increases the time while tank in a ghostly state after respawning, and also allows you to activate supplies in ghostly state.

Passive drones

  • Thief — spreads the Repair_symbol.pngDA_symbol.pngDD_symbol.pngSpeed_symbol.pngMine_symbol.png activated by allies and enemies to its tank.
  • Pioneer — increases DA_symbol.pngwith Icon_DA_extra.png when multiple enemies shoot at the tank.

Supply idea: Mega supply. Take all supplies, bar maybe heal, as you would likely not always need the heal, and craft it into a mega supply, a consumable with a hefty CD, but, it gives you all the affects at once.
