Damage indicators - see exactly how much damage you inflict

Recommended Posts

I think you can understand what is this about by only reading a tittle, but anyway I will explain it. When a tank gets damaged you should see points above which tells you how much you damaged the tank. For example, when a railgun m2 shoots hornet m2, you know how much health left for hornet. Around 25%. And hornet m2 has 138hp. So let's see, after railgun's hit, 25% of 138 equals 34,5, which means 34,5hp left on hornet, so railgun approximately dealt the damage 103,5. So those damage points would fade in and out above the tank like (-103,5), and players could know how much damage deals their turret, and should they MU it or not. I just gave an example for railgun, it's not always the same damage of course. For other turrets, which their strentgh gets low on bigger distances, it's same thing, points only show the dealt damage, and expressed numerical. You've probably met with this before in many other games, but do you think that it would be cool if this gets in this game?

Very bad idea. Players will more concern about how much they are hit rather than playing seriously to win the battle. They will go to garage to change wasting time, annoying to see players not playing especially 15 min battles.

I'm skeptical about this one. As said earlier it might crowd the screen.. I believe it's mainly a feature for newbies, because people like us already roughly know what damage our turret deals and we can use the wiki for accurate details of such parameters. As Hazel said, sometimes enemies can be 2-shot instead of 1-shot at times if turret doesn't deal max damage, but I think we can let the luck factor stay in such cases.. and the point about protection that he made is obviously ruled out since we can now clearly see what protection the enemies have by pressing R

I think this should be implemented for lower ranks

maybe but its a very bad idea, players will sabotage a lot if this idea is implemented. Srry do not agree.

So now decision making becomes a lot harder.... do you stay and try to finish the kill?

... or maybe easier. Players who play railgun should know better than to waste their shots on the prodigi guy all the time...

That would then definitely help them, seeing the low result they will stop shooting at him and find a weaker prey.

and it would be easier to know that if you hit an enemy or not. It can be tricky when using railgun, when he tries to shoot an enemy in motion, he could know that if he had hit him or not, so I don't think this is bad.

Only for railgun you say!!!!!!!!

bad idea if implemented to all turrets

Under review

[gmpl] [vsfx]

They have that in the game trailer video, in the Materials section, which is accessed via the button on top of the page.

It looks something like this:

very bad idea. You cannot make your opponent see your health. Totally disagreed.

Low rank want to implement this new system, they are still new to tanki, what about us m3 and other high exp, this means the game is simply ruin. This new system cannot be introduced because Lower ranks suggests it, if they stop playing after, what the use.

Damage Numbers :

You know when you're playing a shooter game like TF2 when you damage a player you see how much

damage you did on that player? Well that's what I'm talking about right now.

Seeing how much damage a shot did to another player can tell you if their hacking, have double power,

or if they got a good shot and can even identify as what turret their using.

The size of the numbers and color should be able to be changed in the settings depending on how far you are away from the screen and how you prefer it. The damage numbers should also default as red.

Leave a like below if you agree with me that this should be implanted in Tanki Online or Tanki X!

I had the opportunity to see how numbers pop out when you shoot with Smoky and Railgun.

But how will it look like, or how fast numbers will pop out when you shoot with Vulcan? Having in mind Vulcan's high rate of fire.

My solution for Vulcan, as well as other damage-per-second weapons, is to just display one total damage number when the player stops damaging the enemy.

Honestly I thought this would clutter up the screen too much to be useful, but I'm pleasantly surprised to find that wrong. In fact, it's pretty useful when I'm playing railgun - I believe it helps me make better decisions in split seconds. For others, I guess it kind of tells me how effective the turret I'm using is in context.

For the exact same reasons as stated above perhaps, I don't really know (gotta weigh in the rebalance) I seem to be dying a lot more often or killing a lot more - either one of those extremes.

They (you know who) should create a little bit smaller fonts for numbers.

Or that players can adjust the font size. I think that the size of the font has to do with the resolution of the monitor, but I'm not so sure.
