New game economics

Problem : - game became boring

                 - game is dominated by drugger teams, or clans against random teams in no supply battle.

                 - old players or players that play more are advantaged against new players or occasional players in a way that new players don t find enjoyable to play. That s because in tanki you only have profit, no expenses to play. You just accumulate.  Good gear is only available to hard time players or buyers who only became richer and better equipped. Good gear > win battle > earn lots of crystals> buy even better gear >  repeat

 

My solution - change game economics.

 

1. Daily gifts - only crystals. But only 100-1200 crystals in daily gifts. Very low ranks should receive  little crystals, but the rank - up bonus should be increased.

                  - This way players will not be encouraged to create many account and just collect daily bonuses to dominate on low levels.

                 - This way even occasional players can have upgraded weapons, so the battle is more balanced and enjoyable. Buyers or earners will have more weapons combo, and non buyers will have only 1-2 combos but at the same level. 

 

2. Supplies (power-ups) - make da dd in  triple  armor triple damage, mines power should be 3x the current power, but the supplies   should cost 5x the current price. And no supply kits should be offered. All supplies reserves of players should be diminished by 5x. If a player has 5000 mines, after the supply re-balance he will only have 1000 mines, but more powerful. 

 

                 Tanki is a war game, and every war needs a hero. And every player wants to be a hero once in  while.

 I don t mind when 1 player is sometimes overpowered because its a challenge to block him.When a team is overpowered then I don t enjoy the game.You can t do anything against a raider team, because they all drug, while the other team only few drug .

If the supplies will be so expensive, even buyers won t be able to drug continually, but when they do drug, it will be fun for them.

Tanki will make more many selling supplies, but the use of supplies will not be so frustrating for average player  because it will not be constant.  

Tripple damage will cost 250 cry, and just by using a protecting paint against that weapon, drugger will only have 1,5 x the advantage, much less that hammer had when there was no paint against it.

   Less supplies =  no more raider teams = more fun to use supplies when you want to be a hero.

If you want to dominate battles then work hard and play smart.

But wait supply 5x?!

Yes. The cost of supply should be uneconomical. You use supplies just for fun.All 3 supplies activated will cost 750 cry. More than the averege game reward.

And less dropped supplies. Use of supplies should bring excitement to player.

This is a game. You don t ~hard work~. You play for fun. You hard work at your job. 

This thinking - you need  to hard work instead of having fun  makes people cheat, mult  or quit. 

Game can t became more unbalanced. And not the balance is important, but having fun. If you want balance, play pro battles.

This is a game. You don t ~hard work~. You play for fun. You hard work at your job.

I have become active in the past few months. Answering questions and reporting posts which break rules.

 

Sorry, but hard work is necessary in every aspect of life. Obviously, people who do hard work in jobs would want to enjoy here. We have a buy option for those people. If they don't want to buy neither put in hard work, then unfortunately such people cannot gain rank and crystals fast.

Daily gift is a GIFT. When it's Christmas (or any Holiday that you celebrate), do you pick and choose what you want as a gift? No. Same princible goes here, they are gifts, be happy you're getting them.

Tanki already does a lot to help players get better equipments and lots of crystals, sales, Double funds, contests, etc.

Actually... I think it's a good idea..

It might reduce the use of supplies due to it's cost, but it'll make using it sometimes more fun..

Tho I wonder how it will affect game-play, a Mammoth with Triple Armor and a First aid is practically unstoppable.

It's like 6 Mammoths all combined in 1.. which is just absurd, and I am not even going to talk about Isidas behind them...

Daily gift is a GIFT.

 

-------------------If it is daily, if it is fixed in value and if it is given to anyone who log in, then is more a pay than a gift. We are paid to visit tanki and log in. But sound better gift .-------------

 

Tanki already does a lot to help players get better equipments and lots of crystals, sales, Double funds, contests, etc.

 

-------------------Only to hardcore players. The average player is weaker and weaker compared to these players. At my rank only m4 count. The rest is useless.------------------

It s all about fun. You can play no supply battle for "skill gameplay".

I do have a pro card. But you are missing the point - have fun.

Pro battle became boring after a while.

And there is the same problem. Buyers and hardcore players have all the best turrets, huls and paints. Now they all use hammer and vulcan, witch are overpowered. Also they play in clans, use mults etc. Little fun. No adrenaline.

I don't know why you feel so bored. There are many ways to have fun.

Join losing team and help in takeover.

Join clan and take part in star ladder.

Apply for a staff position.

Make videos.

 

If all above fails, leave tanki for a while and when you come back you will feel better.

Lol there is no place for playing in this list.

Video, Staff, suicide your supplies and join absurd tournaments at that just some equipments are allowed and raise mults and sabotaurs, or leave.

 

Are there anythink for lonely players, or players who just wants to play without making videos or teams?

Yes. Play. As simple as that. But above options are when you get bored of paying.

Take part in contests where you get to play as well as earn something.

Game shouldn't allow clan players to play together in the same team for normal battles. There should be pro-battle option for this.

You are at a level where you can t understand what I m talking about. You don t play with m4 players to understand the difference between m3 combo and m4 combo with fully mu paints. But you will. You just discovered m3 weapons and think you know all. Just wait to reach general rank and see haw you ll feel 

One m4 combo cost over 1.500.000 cry- at discount. Full price is over 3.000.000 cry. You know haw fast you can earn 1.500.000 to switch from 1 combo to other? Would you spend a few hundreds dollars for a combo just to notice it is nerfed? 

I have more experience than you and I know you will eat your words when you will be faced with high rank players that have over 5.000.000 cry worth of equipment.

I agree. If I compare your experience and my one, probably I am a noob. In a different game, my character that I have upgraded 2 years have been deleted because absurd server restart! I understand this a bit.

 

Of course there should be a solution and ı have some ideas :)

At times yes, this game used to be fun, and balanced

 

Smart cooldowns have solves the drugging problem but we still have very unbalanced teams, using all 3 drugs at once was very expensive, so teams were balanced at times, because very rare people did it, im sorry smart cooldowns does not solve the problem. People can just press 2 or 3 and collect drug boxes frequently knowing they have little to lose

This would not solve the problem, free players depend on this, and the problem is not supplies itself but the way they are used and that needs to change, in addition, players could just buy the supply kits instead of the daily gifts, this would just encourage drugging, and people would not have to work hard for thier combos/drugs if they just received crystals as a gift everyday, that would unbalance the game further

 

Doesn't make any sense

 

IT IS A WAR GAME, doesn't have to be realistic (it isn't)  I think i need to come to a conclusion that smart cooldowns don't work anymore, in fact, its made druggers overpowered
