Bad Idea!

As long as battle mods know the difference between lagging and hacking, I don't think we should include such personal thing. Players might be attacked for having ping over 100 which is not laggy at all.

ps, good job I don't care anymore. I'm coming to the end of my time here in this game. The devs have had enough opportunity to weed out the cheats who spoil this game and have done little or nothing to fix it.

In Tanki, PING bars can added that will change depending on a tankers connection when you press TAB. It will look somewhat like this: (This is BO3 just to show and that isn't me lol)

 

 

This will be very useful. PING below 99 is full green, 4 bars; PING 99-200 I think is 3 bars, yellowish-green; PING 200-400 is 2 bars, yellow in color; 400+ is 1 bar, red in color. 0 bars means you've either lagged out or are restarting.

Did you even read what he said? Seeing other people's PING helps detect hackers, with that, we can decide whether someone  is hacking or just has a bad connection. And laggers are clearly visible without knowing their ping too, so it won't affect anyone's behavior towards laggers.

So nearly two years after this was suggested we get a bump. What's been done to help us combat the unstoppable players that come in, take flags and drive through everybody to take the win?

Umm... maybe because first and foremost, the players have to call for a mod's attention? That step can be aided by an idea like this - helps make a clear decision. Just highlighted in color what I think is being overlooked here.

If you record a video or a possible hacker today, the moderators request the video to be 10min lentgh. This is very long.. and makes the process bulky and ineffcient.

with this feature it could be way easier. All those players that just "spontaniouls lag over/through us while flagrunning" could be easily difided into hackers and laggers, if their ping would be known - if it would be visible in the video recoding that the recoder takes.

When you press Tab, you can see the connection bars of everyone in your battle so one can know who is lagging and who's not. Would be useful for not everyone but also events, eSports, tournaments and loads of other things too.

What's the point? I mean, we're not playing the newest Call of Duty here. If you can't even run a browser based game with simple 2009+ graphics at at least 30 fps then you really need to think about your gaming equipment (should I even call it gaming equipment in this case?)

Tanki is one of the most decent games for players that can not afford gaming equipment, but that are happy if they find such a game with such low HW requirements.

Most of us are normal ppl ok? We use our laptops and computers mostly for studying and searching. Tanki is not our number 1 thing in life so that we would get a special gaming equipment.
