Reduce power of garage supplies

It's from the V-Log, although my problem with supplies are first aids... i really don't do much with the other 4

funnier not to use them though

Bad thing: you have increased the amount you give per mission. Not so good.

 

So lets take some time to see how it works out (after you've released it)

 

 

(and I thought the userinterface will not be changed for the old version any more)

Well, I think the increase is to balance out the fact that you work for them. 'Cause some of the missions are going to be hard.

The ONLY way to restore balance - since Devs couldn't care less - is each one of us refuse to use garage supplies except 2-3 per 15 minutes battle (in case of flags etc). Other than that, only supply drops!

And NEVER BUY SUPPLIES KITS! NEVER! Buy hulls, turrets, paints, but NEVER supplies kits!

 

And come here and state your complain against Tanki that makes supplies constant use obligatory.

It's hard not to, especially when everyone's using them to bombard you everywhere. Funny, I also saw clearly losing teams drug like no tomorrow even when we are winning by a large margin.  :mellow:

 

 

It's really very easy to understand - as you move up in rank there are fewer people to compete against. Fewer battles to enter. Thus, the likelihood increases more and more of your opponents will be druggers. I actually enjoyed the game more at lower ranks. It gets more tedious as you move up because a higher percentage of users at each rank rely on drugs to succeed.

 

This is why the game gets more boring as you move along. I can't really imagine how bad it must be at gismo since it is a dead end - there is no more progression beyond that.

What I don't understand is that why people do not want to play 'fair' as they advance through the ranks. This is why people wants to join the winning side & drug what they like. Actually  there are many battles, just that 95% of them are loopsided. 

 

I know what's it like at gismo. I have been there. From General upwards, it gets tedious. Marshal onwards it's a onslaught. Gismo have more choices to play Pro battles & XP/BP battles through.   :ph34r:

Did you not read my post? In it I said that I did read -_-

You said "Barely any posts about actual ideas" and that is not true. If you read you find many ideas. Maybe you don't agree with them, but there are many and many ideas on supply mechanics and usage and even ideas on sources of income, alternative or in compensation to drugs.

Maybe it is a kind of "state of mind". Many players drug as default. They press numbers as they appear! No matter if they win or loose. Maybe they have to feel "superior" somehow ... like "I lost, but I beaten you up many times ... I feel a warrior".

 

Winning fairly is surely more satisfying, but it is more difficult. It often requires skills and strategy and team play. Often druggers just want to be superior in a easy way, some times without being really superior. The same psychological effect as drug in real life somehow.

 

Proof of this is when, in an already ruined battle with 7 players vs 1, you see the 7 keeping on drugging and blowing up the 1 left ... which is a weird behaviour! And it happens very often, both because most battles end like that (1 team leaves for frustration) and because there is a lot of that kind of players (that drug and blow up a player in a 7 vs 1 situation).

This should make all of us think!

I mean barely any posts about ideas in comparison to the other posts. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Ok. Well, of course the core of the ideas will be less compared with the whole discussion posts.

What I meant is that from this post came up many ideas ... they may be nice or useless, but still something to think about and maybe work from.

Obviously there are also useless posts and different positions, but this is a discussion! :)

Well, I really hope that the developers will make daily missions that reward players who DON'T use drugs throughout a certain number of battles

I'm not saying "No drug rewards from daily missions", BUT it would be a bit more gratifying to be rewarded crystals and one-day PRO passes, let's say, for being clean rather than take it easy and get high.

Besides, we can choose what daily missions we want, so I hope the developers pay attention to the dissatisfied audience, including those speaking out here.  

Lastly, the developers, I believe, need to add another dimension to drugs (make a boss battle mechanic that pops up whenever there is incessant drugging?) , not simply keep drugs as an addictive mechanic that results in bigger rewards.  Otherwise, I don't know what'll happen to TO... :unsure:

The game was 1-0 for maybe 5 or 6 minutes in Noise CTF, I was on down team.

I decided to drug and used double power, used the tunnel and escaped from the tunnel with heal.

On the same time, the opponent tried the same and started to carry our flag.

We meet on the my team's tunnel.

We killed them.

 

2-0.

 

 

2 drug changed the score which had been the same for 6 minute.

Of course a little push was needed to change the balance. But this is the potential of drgus...

The difference is that if the score was 10-0 with a few minutes left is it still necessary for the winning team to drug just to blow up the losers over and over?

 

A 1-0 score with a few minutes left would be a situation where the use of supplies would be justified.

Blue team's first, second and third players were 24/7 druggers, I countered with my best, gave up after 2 minutes as my team started leaving.

Not to count the drugger that was there when I joined which left after I started...

It's too much.

 

The amount of drugs i have on that account is due to the old NooBest reward which got also doubled etc...

On another note, I got the Noobest reward on my main and basically drugged my way from Master Sergeant to Warrant Officer 2. Finally ran out, running on dailies now. :)

I am sorry friend, I don't understand your last sentence... Could you explain?

 

I believe in fair play and when the game is not unbalanced heavily, then everybody can have fun and the difference between winners and losers will not be big. That's why I keep telling everybody that overuse of supplies is a bad thing.

Mastering the tank takes a little while and some practice, but it woths it. Not all can be Star Series Pro, but all can play decenty after some practice. In general my philosophy is this game be for all, not just buyers.

Explanation of my last sentence:

Noobest was a clan that won the Star Series a few seasons ago. Tanki let you buy a paint for 1000 crystals in the garage to support one of either two or three teams (can't remember) and I bought Noobest, and they won. If the team you bought its paint won, you got a certain number of supplies for each game that they won. Since Noobest won I think all of their games, and eventually the Series itself, I got about 400 of each supply. Then, when Smart CoolDowns (SCDs) got introduced, eveyone's garage supplies got doubled, so I had 800 of each. I ran out at Warrant Officer 2. Now I am running off of daily gifts only (I do buy, but never, ever would I buy supplies. Ever.). And my congrats on your post was that I think it was your 1000th.

Drugs are a part of the game, but I think they should make the option for using supplies a general game option not only a ProPass option. 

You can already, but htere is a time limit.

Anyhow, I don't have to join the druggers any time soon.  Sure, the statement's structure tempts the reader to join the cause, but I'll chose to ignore it.  It's not like someone is holding me at gunpoint, forcing me to drug (of course, such a concept is stupidly insane).  Hmm...was I dumb in falling for the bait?  OOPS! :wacko: Oh well...doesn't matter if I get hounded by other commenters for my possible stupidity...Just letting you guys know that one does not have to drug (drugging is so enticing, though, so be choose wisely; it's up to you)
