Reduce power of garage supplies

Sorry, my last response post before I leave the thread (didn't see this post before I posted my leaving post):

 

...either eliminate all potential to create weapons

or allow everyone (who meets certain sanity criteria, lol, and safety training criteria) access to the same weapons.

- hacking is a "weapon"

- sabotaging is a "weapons"

Too many pages to read  :o ,but has anyone suggested an idea of only having a limited amount of supplies available per battle? In real life you would have limited space for supplies so why not here? They could give you enough room to only carry 5 of each supply. Once they are gone that's it, you don't get anymore until the next match. Of course these would come out of your garage. I've played lots of games that use this format and it makes sense. The total number of allowed supplies could be based off of the amount of time left in the match. Now if the wanted to add something real cool they could add a re-supply crate that falls like a gold box (very rarely) and would restock your in battle supplies.

 

 

 

On another note, I read some of the options about trying to get players to adopt EN3 as the "drug free" server. We have a large problem of organizing something like this due to the many languages spoken on the EN servers. The RU servers are primarily Russian and the DE servers are primarily German so they have a much easier job of spreading the word. What I would suggest is we try and get some volunteers to try and spread the word about using EN3 in as many languages as possible. Unfortunately I only speak English :( . We should put a post in each of the Conversation Clubs

...so, back to the best way to counter hackers and saboteurs, other than not allowing them to ever hack and/or sabotage, is to allow everyone who meets certain criteria to acquire supplies/drugs

Boy, was my day as a drugger frustrating!  I decided to use the supplies I have been accumulating for the last seven months or so to the max to get the most benefit from the quintuple crystals.  Turns out drugging requires skill, too.  It took three hours before I had practiced enough that I could hit the number for the right supply and consistently get my fingers back on the control buttons.  Next time I will start practicing a day or two in advance of a multiple-crystals event.

 

Still won 25,000 ¢ry., but could have done better.

Also, we are here for ideas and suggestions, not to be mocked or made fun of. Your post has no place here and is childish in nature, exactly like the druggers attitudes in game.

LOL Not that I had plenty of time yesterday, but I tried to play and I logged off due to massive drugging. See, I am not going to apply drugging even for a X10 funds. So yesterday I was the poor relative in a party of millionaires... nothing really to do there. :D

A useful idea, as (I think) brubrook told, to limit supplies effectiveness by making the power to the next upgrade, it's an excellent idea and can be implemented. So stop arguing and start brainstorming.

Try page 71, there is some brainstorming there, in fact, more than a dozen proposals. What isn't changing - and isn't expected to change - is the Devs' attitude, which is evidence of Alternativa's real motives.

I provided 2 solutions but I also added that 1 of those won't work.

1- remove all hacking and other cheating, like "Artificial Lag" and "Boosting"/Sabotaging

2- keep the purchasing of drugs available to counter those who do #1 above AND not easily available for free or by missions

The real problem here is that all proposed ideas have been denied by the mods and devs that have read this string.  Drugs are too much of a earner for them.  Reduce the effectiveness, reduce their use, and thus reduce income.  It's pointless now almost.  I think the pro-pass idea is the best way to go, and with the considrable earnings that can be made doing the missions, maybe this is the best way to go.

On the same thought-line that refuses any reduce in supplies use, devs are going to refuse the lowering of the cost of pro pass - no matter how logical it is - because if any single solution against druggers is given, then some (or more than some) players will use that way out of purchasing supplies' kits.

That is, assuming that some of them - if not the most - do buy supplies kits just because there is no alternative to play in a satisfactory way.

 

Although, that thought-line would be a morally petty and financially unsustainable way to make the game flourish, in my opinion.

I played long enough to complete missions. Even with 5x funds it isn't worth blowing through the amount of supplies needed to break even.

Seriously.  All the realistic ideas and suggestions in this thread are slapped down by the anti-drug folks because they involve some other form of payments.  Many years ago I went to a cricket match in Australia.  All afternoon the other two Americans present whined in a very annoying manner because it wasn't baseball.  They at least had the excuse that they could not go home until the whole group did.  Why are you still here?  It can't be because you are deluded enough believe that Tanki Online is going to modify the game to suit you.

Seriously.  All the realistic ideas and suggestions in this thread are slapped down by the anti-drug folks because they involve some other form of payments.  Many years ago I went to a cricket match in Australia.  All afternoon the other two Americans present whined in a very annoying manner because it wasn't baseball.  They at least had the excuse that they could not go home until the whole group did.  Why are you still here?  It can't be because you are deluded enough believe that Tanki Online is going to modify the game to suit you.

This has become painfully apparent mind you.  The point is, at some point, this model will be emulated, minus the power up, and this platform will go the way of the doe doe bird.  Shame really.  It's fun, and another platform would in fact be different, as one would expect, and this one has many redeeming features, so, maybe someone will make something people like better, but the idea again here is why throw away such a good thing?  Marketing, and other things would go a long way in this game.  I'm not going to post ideas here, something tells me I'm too smart for my own good, and I might end up giving away ideas and never seeing a dime of it, but the fact remains, this game is getting a big following and the money is there.  I can think of a lot of sponsors that could end up being interested in ads on here, and in suc ha way no one could ever miss it and it would NEVER impact the game play.  Your point is noted though, and yeah, resigned were are.  Good news is that the new mission system can yield enough advantage that us none druggers can propass, of course now we need a way of pointing out none drug battles since they are not apparent in the game title.

 

I propose this to Tanki.  Let Pro Pass battles be renamed like before.  Let those battles have titles, and then the minority non-drug using community can find each other and play together.

 

Ta Da.  That might be as close as we can get to something like that.

I remember a guy/girl saying that chanting from a non drugger to an expert is a phase. Message 4 low and medium ranks (like mine)

The phase is when you give up your soul and just tire and join them instead of fight them.  I am slowly moving up the ranks, slowly, earning money, and I DO occasionally use a box in my inventory, LIKE ONCE EVERY 20 battles, and for some VERY specific reason.

 

It is a point of PRIDE people, not some whiney attitude so many think they hear here. 

 

I take 3 and 4 in huge drug battles sometimes, and no drugs.  I'll pick up a box from time to time, but inventory, rarely, and even boxes leave a bad taste in my mouth, except vs christmas trees, that feels good to nail them , I hate them.  Yes, apparently Im that good on skills and gear alone.  So you tell me, WHY ON EARTH do people mock US when it's THEIR lack of skills and ability that is compensated for by pressing 1,2,3, or 4?  I run m1 equipment vs drugged up m2 class all the time, my rank is getting be an issue, I don't buy, and all my earnings are from battles, and since I don't drug, I don't often haul in a lion's share since I'm not 1st or 2nd place.  All these buyers with buck, drugs, time on their hands have great quipment, lots of supplies, and I'm still giving them hell.  IT sure would be nice to turn off those buttons and really whip their a**es and give them a wake up call some time.  In fact, that's all we want, a place wear gear and skills is all that is in play, no other variables.

Actually, as I previously said, this is not correct.

 

Reduce the effectiveness

----> make the game more balanced and more enjoyable and satisfying for everyone (less frustrating)

----> gain more players (the critical mass)

----> gain more payers (in percentage)

 

... -----> EVERYONE SATISFIED! (increase players, increase payers)

 

This is a non shortsighted view of Tanki economy!

It boils down to this for me:

 

Who has more skill?

 

The player who can be first in all battles, using no powerups...

 

...or the player who buys endless powerups and spams them all the time to be first.

 

 

Basically, who works harder? A guy climbing a mountain step by step, inch by inch....or the guy who takes the elevator up?

...or the player who uses as many legal drugs to successfully compete against those cheaters?

 

 

Basically, who works harder? A guy climbing a mountain step by step, inch by inch, with the help of energy drinks and special mountain equipment....or the guy who takes the elevator up?
