Secondly, yes. I'm pretty sure we all agree on this topic that drugs are extremely overpowered. People say smart cooldowns was the answer to drugging, yet I almost constantly see people with a Diamond Tiara running around Rambo-style and popping health kits every two seconds. I wouldn't complain so much if the health kits weren't a 100% heal.

 

Tanki just didn't pay attention to the numbers. If you're using DD, that means you're as strong as two tanks. If you're using DA, you're twice as deadly. If you use both, you may as well have cloned yourself, since you're dealing twice the damage AND having twice the armor. And if you health-kit above that, you're basically cheating death for "both" tanks, meaning that you may as well have four tanks at your disposal. It's a 400% power boost. That's freaking overpowered, no matter what anyone says.

 

To put this into perspective -- an M0 Hornet has about 83 health (82.94 to be exact). With double armor, that increases to 166 health points -- THE SAME as a Hornet M3. And if you use a health kit just before you die, you can get (at most) another 165 health points; over 330 points, or TWICE an M3 Hornet! That means that a buying Grefreiter with drugs can be twice as durable as an ethical Major General who doesn't drug.

 

The numbers don't lie. Tanki is pay-to-win.

I agree in general, but not much on the suggestion. Drugging is a hell of a problem at high ranks too, as well as low ranks. Actually, time ago, drugging was a problem at high ranks only! With time everything got worse, players don't work on their skills anymore, many low ranks are just high ranks alternative accounts ... and that lead to drugging all over the ranks. At very low ranks you have players that know how to use drugs together with players (like me at the beginning) that don't almost even know where they are and what they have to do, while at high ranks you have M3s fighting with quadruplicated M4s (DA+heal) that are some equivalent to an ipotetic M7!!!

Both situation are a disaster!!!

To put this into perspective -- an M0 Hornet has about 83 health (82.94 to be exact). With double armor, that increases to 166 health points -- THE SAME as a Hornet M3. And if you use a health kit just before you die, you can get (at most) another 165 health points; over 330 points, or TWICE an M3 Hornet! That means that a buying Grefreiter with drugs can be twice as durable as an ethical Major General who doesn't drug.

Agreed, this set up of Doubles with heals turns most units into the Hulk.  There is much to be said about clever druggers that time their exposure.  I know this from watching the D/L stats closely.  I am a VERY GOOD Shaft player, period.  Might not be the best, no, no Obey here, no MLG, but I hold my own quite well, and I know how hard it is to get a decent D/L (death to loss) at my rank.  I'm convinced that your drug + heal up issue is at the heart of these stats too.  I see people with 42, 49 D/L, and their L is equal to like 3, 4, and 5, and they ARE NOT camping Shafts that are obscure in the distance, they are front line Thunders, Rails, and Firebirds, flag runners, getting POUNDED, and their D/L is FAR higher than my own sometimes.  I have no qualms with higher D for people closer to the action, but L?  You are getting getting hit like a baseball at Wrigley Field, over and over, and you die 4 times in 15 minutes?  I think not, especially when you spend more time in the enemy base than in your own. a 4 to 1 or 5 to 1 is good, 9 to 1 or 10 to 1 is just unbelievable.

 

As for your suggestions, again, this topic has been beat to death.  I tried the PROPASS, the Premium account, until people get together and actually play on no drug fields, this is a moot point really, but yes, it is infuriating that the issue even exists.

At Warrant Officer 5, you can also purchase the Tornado (I believe it is called?) kit, which consists of M2 Railgun, M2 Hornet, and Spark.

So essentially, a Warrant Officer 5 is using equipment from 3 ranks, 2 ranks, and 4 ranks respectively, higher. Tell me that's not overpowered. Sami (classyplebs/Arabiannoble) made a video on this, addressing the issues and showing some gameplay with this kit at a Warrant Officer 5 level.

Thanks.  I 'm around a lot, just too busy to actually make intelligent posts all the time, and I already said my bit on drugs, and I really don't think much has changed.  If I ever get my premium account back I'll make it point of letting you guys here know, maybe we can arrange something with the chat site I setup so folks actually start using it, find people there, pick a server, and go play pro-pass style.  Shame about mines though, but hey, so be it.  Better than Tiaras like AlphaNinjaGirl pointed out(I'm not sure anymore, I'm torn, I was SO STUCK on Christmas Trees, but now this seems to be more offense and ridiculing of druggers).

 

The reasoning for using another site for finding people on line is simple really too, I made it because in game forum chat is nearly designed to make it hard for people to group and organize outside the paradigms presented already.  It's dumb IRC, web based that simply lets people pop in, say their piece, they can choose where to go, make the game, and BOOM, propass, no drugs, rock and roll.

I was playing Serpuhov CTF (my favorite!) earlier today, and I was playing amongst some pretty high ranks, so naturally I saw a lot of druggers. None of them were too bad, but some of my teammates were drugging, and despite my efforts to get them to stop, they kept doing it. So yeah, we were winning... unfairly.

 

Well, like I always do when I play Serpuhov, I made a dash for their flag coming down the right-side wooded ridge (I was on red team). I picked up the nitro AND the DA box that drop there, made it into their base, grabbed their flag, and picked up the repair kits in mid and in our base. Yeah, I got shot at a lot, so... I needed both of 'em. XD

 

Anyway, this jerk started calling me a drugger. Seriously? Me, a drugger? Not only just a drugger, but a noob, a stoner, and a few other things that I won't mention. He also threatened to break into my house at night and rape me, so... yeah, keeping my tactical knife close by. I explained to him exactly what I'd done, and even offered to show footage of the run, but he turned me down, calling me a "bloody liar" and the "scum of Tanki". Even after a few of his own teammates told him to buzz off, he still kept spouting threats non-stop until I finally left.

I only drug my Shaft when I see other druggers or see M3's. I dislike kit buyers and I would rather one-shot them before that damn Medic kit has a chance to get friendly... :ph34r:

Hi all,

Last evening I was in a fair battle Serpuhov CTF 15mn. No druggers (certainly not enough to swing the fate of the battle). The strategy, complementarity and skills were the only garantee of the victory. The score was tight until the end. Fun and suspense were obviously present. I was so glad I did four others battles wich stayed in this state of mind. We won or we lost.... and there was not the importance. I spent a real good moment and I was going to bed with smile and hopeful.

 

This evening (still hopeful of the day before) I go into a Serpuhov 30mn 20 flags. Wow !! Christmas trees everywhere in the opposing team. The battle ended within ten minutes 20/0. I was destroy more than around thirty times and I destroyed only two opponents (with my twins M3 !).... It will thus be the only battle for this evening.... !

 

Well, it's late now. I am going to bed.

Sorry if I went too far, but I am extremely pissed off at this guy right now. I'm just trying to earn my exp on Rio for a mission and this nuba is just drugging and camping up at the top and I'm trying to kill him but his drugging buddies are helping him and i can't do a thing to him. Every time I get close to killing him, he activates a Repair Kit and runs away to recharge/cool down the drugs while his drugging buddies block the path and kill me. My Emerald doesn't help... why? Double Damage of course! Then he comes back out when he's ready to drug Repair Kits again. That roof isn't helping because there's drop zones for Double Damage AND Double Armor -____- COME ONNN this nuba is nuba enough already goddamnit. I only managed to kill him once, but he got 12 kills by that time.

 

I really don't know what people like him are trying to accomplish. Literally the only combo he uses is Viking-Thunder-Prodigy. Nothing else. -_- I can guarantee you he spends the rest of his crystals to buy drugs instead of new equipment. Like I said in my topic about removing D/L, this D/L statistic  is making players like him drug more and more and making it worse for all of us. Who cares if your D/L is 6.76? It means nothing if you got it by drugging so just stop it.

Sadly, that spot on Rio will always be home to camping, drugging, paranoid noobs. It doesn't help that the majority of the gold boxes also drop up there.

 

Whenever I play Rio... well, I usually do it on my other account, since Firebird isn't so good on Rio. But whenever I do, if I'm getting a lot of kills in one spot, I switch to a different spot. That way, not only do I get better at playing at the map, but I also don't bog down traffic in one area and keep the game dynamic and fun for everyone.

 

That's the problem with a lot of these druggers. Sure, they may be stacking up kills like crap without a sewer, but are they really having fun? After DD-Railing the same poor sap from the same spot for the 40th time, I'd think it gets pretty boring... for both parties. Maybe I'm just spitballing here, but this is a game, and it's supposed to be fun for everyone, right?

 

The issue with drug addicts is that they only care about numbers. The amount of crystals they get, the amount of damage they deal, their D/L ratio. They don't care about having fun, or the fun of others. They don't care about the challenge, or actually getting better at the game. They care about beating everyone and bolstering their already over-blown ego.

 

On a side note, I know that the word "id*ot" is censored, but I feel that it really works to describe these people. The word comes from the Greek term "idiom", meaning "same". Consequently "id*ot" denotes a person who cares about absolutely nothing other than himself. I have no problem calling all drug addicts idiots, whether or not I'm censored.

 

And mods, if you're reading this, I apologize for the profanity, but banning me isn't going to change my behavior. I know what the word means, and I know how to use it responsibly. I'm sorry.

Nothing else. -_- I can guarantee you he spends the rest of his crystals to buy drugs instead of new equipment. Like I said in my topic about removing D/L, this D/L statistic  is making players like him drug more and more and making it worse for all of us. Who cares if your D/L is 6.76? It means nothing if you got it by drugging so just stop it.

Ok, this is for people who will not stop saying that drugs are fine because they're part of the game. 

 

Someone gets shot. That is a part of life, can it not? But is getting shot or shooting someone who has done nothing wrong fine? We non-druggers have done nothing wrong to you but yet druggers will continue to abuse drugs immensely and unfairly. Sure, you can use drugs, it's not wrong to use them or even abuse them but what of the people who don't drug or can't drug? It is unfair for them. Can anyone here honestly say it is not? All we are asking for on this topic is some fairness, some equality. That is why any of the ideas on page 71 (http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=246957&page=71&do=findComment&comment=4714520) should be implemented. If a game is for fun then the drugging in this game has defeated the purpose of gaming.
