I agree to you Brubook.. and want to add, that there is soooome equipment, where MU makes sense.

Most of the time it is a gear, that unlocks "early" and where you have to wait "long" for the next M-version - AND - where the stats change a lot from one M-class to its successor.

Like Fire M1 (early) -> Fire M2 (late) -> huge change in performance.. so each micrpupgrade step makes a change. Additionally this weapon will be your friend a looong time, until M2 gets unlocked.

Or Wasp M1 (early) -> Wasp M2 (late) -> huge change in performance.. all other aspects like above.

Bad example: Hunter M1 -> Hunter M2. It gets just a little better.. so microupgradein is a pure waste.

Yes, I agree ... I made the same thing for weapons like rico or fire that have a long way from M2 to M3. Yet I MUed just 2-3 steps (the first steps are the greatest).

And, to say it all, as Operator pointed out, the most convenient (and permanent) thing to MU is paints. Even those to a reasonable and "efficient" amount.

Dear Alpha
IMO micro upgrades has a double problem: they are far too expensive and the are just useless in terms of saving to the next M, unless you make them all. In any case you come to pay much more than just upgrading to the next M. In other words, I personally MU maybe the first 2-3 MUs on the M1-M2, no more. Otherwise you will find urself with no crystals to go on with career. I think the only MUs worth doing are the M3 MUs, as they will be "final".
Just my opinion!

While I appreciate your concern, I'm planning on sticking with my Firebird/Wasp for a long time. Firebird M2 doesn't unlock until Major, and Wasp M2 doesn't unlock until Colonel. But since I already have about 35 upgrades on each of them, there's no reason why I shouldn't "go the distance" and get them fully MU'd before getting M2 (for free, thanks to the new update!). Besides that, as it stands now, I should be able to get them fully MU'd by Captain, so I'll actually have an head-start on my equipment.

Anyway, thanks for the concern!

I love that term - "full diamond tiara"!!

Thanks! Most people just call it a "tiara" or a "Christmas Tree", but I think calling it a diamond tiara is better... it matches with the character of the drugger. XD

Same here, i have 35 upgrades on my Firebird m1, because it is going to take a long long time to reach the rank where i can get an m2.  I will reach 50 MUs (that is m2) at 2nd lieut. , if i continue playing and not get tired of drugging and quit by then.

I was having a D/L of 1.6, until i hit WO5 and since then i have been playing high rank games with tons of druggers, and it has gone down to 1.50 now, inspite of getting that premium account recently.

You ought to add Dictator M2-M3. That is a huge jump in the specs.

Anybody else having this problem?

http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=305408

Seriously, I want to know. It's been super annoying over the last year and a half.

Funny, i was on that topic just before i came here.

No, i haven't noticed anything like that happening. I don't think it would be an in-game mechanic though. I'm not sure why.

Maybe add Smoky-M1 to this list as possible maximum upgrade - 13 levels from M1 to M2, one more than Firebird-M1 to M2.

His name makes me laugh. His skill makes him the "gaymer" he aspires to be.

Bro, your D/L, is inspiring! And here I am with Winter paint that offers 44% protection against Shaft which saves my Hornet from getting smoked in a shot, while you don't use any paint at all??? That is skill!!! I should try that out sometime. Too bad I'm focused on improving my D/L further at the moment, so I'm pretty much attached to my paint.

You know Kid, I read the quote excerpt of mine to be sure, and I realized, I never mentioned anything about paint in that quote, which leads me to believe that you ACTUALLY have fought against me and noticed I DON'T use paint and I DO have have high K/D ratios generally.  All I can say is thanks for the props, and it's humbling to think people pay attention.

And the most annoying drugger of the day award goes to Dark_pharaon!

He's your typical drugger -- every time you see him, he's got a full diamond tiara. He can't aim, so he just takes his little store-bought M2 Firebird or his crappy M0 Hammer and walks at'cha. You can't stop him, 'cuz he's always got nitro AND DA, and pops health kits like peanuts. Oh, and did I mention that he's also a preemie sellout? Yeah, he's a preemie sellout. And even with all that, he struggles to keep a cumulative D/L of 1.05.

Also has a really dirty mouth, even by Texas standards. I doubt he's ever won a battle in his life without dropping at least 20 drugs -- most of them DD so he can melt your face off and then gloat about it. And when I called him out on this, he called me a "salty crybaby", a "whiny noob", "asswipe", and said that I was "on my period".

Oh I'm sorry, I guess I didn't realize that my negative reaction to your cheapish behavior is based entirely on my menstrual process.

"And even with all that, he struggles to keep a cumulative D/L of 1.05."

That is just sad.  If I used that many drugs I think I'd be rocking a double digit D/L.

"Also has a really dirty mouth, even by Texas standards."

Score!  You're from Texas, need to add you to the TexasTankiList.

Well, also without a premium account you can still purchase a pro-pass for 5000 crystals. It lasts for one month.

The problem you face, is that there are next to no pro-battles in your rank range. This will come once you are above 800.000 experience points maybe (so after playing the game for 800 hours with good results).

Given that figures.. someone really starts to think of investing time and money somewhere else :P

My gripe with the propass is how hard they've made it to announce the type of battle.  We need ways to name ProPass battles accordingly so people can find them and join them.  Imagine a way that we can Title them so it's clear, it's drug free, it's friendly fire,, it's this, it's that.  People barely do ProBattles, and they're usually XP/BP format crap stuff that the vast number of regular players could CARE LESS about.  Try to create a battle that has no drugs and then announce it in the chat and see what happens.  I did.  I of course got the roasting treatment with lots of "F'Off"s, "Noob", and "We don't want to play in your stupid drug free battle".  So the inverse has to be available before it works.  We need to be able to label battles as drug free, in the title, somehow make it easy for each other to find each other and then gather and play.

Not likely going to happen though, and the explanation for that is long, contentious, and I'm not in the mood to writ it all out right now.

Noooo, my K/D dropped to 1.39 instead of 1.40! :( :( :(

Nah, I'm just kidding. Well, I mean... it DID actually drop, and I'm a little put out by it, but it's because I've been playing as Isida lately. Isidas don't get that many kills, apparently...

On another note, I was playing in Industrial Zone TDM once, and a gold box dropped. Through some actual skills (nah, I just got lucky), I caught it, much to the disdain of some poor sap on the opposite team. After taking a verbal beating from him, I simply exited the game, spent ALL of the goldbox money on a "dislike" gift, and wrote "Here's your gold box!"

Anyways, I actually never noticed you use Green.

That's neat.

I remember you, you are that heavy drugger from Rio. You clearly need some mental treatment with all those double damages you use

If after using so heavy drugs. this guy is still at 1.04 K/D ratio, just shows what little skills he has.

Today i didn't find too many druggers around, so actually increased by K/D to 1.51 from 1.50 :P

Just waiting for the day the game owners get what they want: That druggers get addicted and then make them pay to play matches with drugs enabled.. YES!! That is what we need. :D

Come now, surely you find it hilarious when you full on drug-kill someone...we all do it, and secretly we enjoy it.

I disagree. Rather than finding it amusing and sneaky, I feel... I feel like a cheater. Cheap, worthless, half-assed. I feel like a noob. I feel "not skilled". I feel horrible. I feel like a wimp. I feel no better than the people who hack for crystals. I feel dishonest. I feel sad. I feel guilty.

I feel that way because I know that I didn't win fairly. I won because Tanki wanted me to win, I didn't win by my own skill. The only way I would be comfortable drug-killing would be if I'm counter-drugging someone who's already been confirmed as an addict.

That's the problem with a lot of druggers nowadays. They have no conscience, no sense of ethics. If they worked to develop actual skills, like I have, they wouldn't need drugs. But they chose the quick, cheap (and actually expensive), and easy route, and since they keep winning, they'll continue to drug, and never bother to actually learn how to play. It's kinda sad really.

Ever wonder why very few Esports members are drug addicts? Because they don't need drugs to win -- they only need their tank and their skills. Drug addicts aren't generally allowed in Esports teams because they rely so much on drugs that when they don't have them, they become sitting ducks.

giphy.gif

Skills? Sorry to disappoint but being a veteran for five years now its really hard to increase a kill to death ratio when you have five years worth of deaths. And if you really want to talk about skill we both can do a rail hornet battle and see who the victor is. And that would be me. Btw I'm a Shafter. And as such I rely on double power to quickly take out threats to my team, and to myself. Look at my achievements, I have a balanced usage of most turrets. You have some audacity calling someone based on a kill to death ratio a noob, try looking at a book's content before you burn it because it has an ugly cover, I got plenty of skills man, 5+ years worth. And JUST EXACTLY how long have you been gaming Tanki? I doubt you were here when Tanki went through its physics update in 2011-2012. Or when rico could make you climb walls. Or when Tanki removed spacemode. Or when Tanki started the V-log, Or when Tanki redesigned the site. Or hell, DURING THE 12345 DAYS!! I been around the old block and back again, so if you wanna call me a noob I'll just make you look stupid. Highly doubtful you have been around as long as I have, have some respect for the veterans kid, we deserve it.

There are a hell of alot of heavier druggers then me, compared to them I'm virtually drug-free.

Actually, the ratings update didn't transfer how many kills and deaths you had before it updated. That's why I only have 20 hours of game time. In reaily it's more like 100, but it didn't start counting until a few months ago... so... yeah, that's not really a viable explanation. However,

Edit: Actually, scratch that... they did transfer K/D ratios, but not hours played or drugs spent. My mistake...

If after using so heavy drugs. this guy is still at 1.04 K/D ratio, just shows what little skills he has.

If you check out my alternate account, KrystenHunt16, you'll see that I have a less-than-impressive K/D ratio. Why? Because I main as Isida/Wasp during battles on Monte Carlo. Isida is practically useless for getting kills there, but I still manage to capture at least three flags per match. I'm one of the most skilled medics out there -- heck, brigadiers and major generals are glad to have me on their team -- and my K/D ratio is low.

It's not fair to judge someone's skill by their K/D ratio. Maybe they just had a bad day and it went down? Maybe they're more focused on capturing flags or control points than simply shafting everyone? Maybe they're medics who battle on long-ranged maps--oh wait...
