I have over 115 thousand crystals because I am a saver not a spender. I understand I can buy one, but why waste MY crystals on that because other players don't know how to truly play Tanki? When they depend on a repair kit like crack cocaine?

 

If it bugs u that much 5k a month is nothing.

I agree wholeheartedly. We shouldn't have to pay to gain access to drug-free battles. It should be the opposite way around -- the payers should be the ones who get to use drugs incessantly, while the free-to-players should have some sort of per-battle limit.

 

But the whole "buy PRO pass to play without drugs" thing is stupid. I shouldn't have to pay for fair battles.

It really despairs me to repeat for the milionth time that I do have pro pass and it does not what you suggest. Very seldom do I find a battle with drops only, most of them are XP/BP or 999 flags or Sandbox, or (of course) Parkour...

All in all, out of DOZENS of battles available in RU1, most of them are XP/BP or Sandbox. Only 2-3 battles available, from which only two are for my known taste: kolhoz (although DM is not my style) and Novel CTF, the real me: medium to large map, CTF... oh, wait... not Pro battle after all.. whaaaat?

Again, ZERO BATTLE in prime time RU1.... So, where the *** did you find the battles you referring to? -_-

Agreed on this note.  It's a rather unfortunate idea that we need to spend earning to COUNTER ACT the lack of skills and real game play ability of others.

 

This is the crux of the argument at it;s core too.  We need to go to GREAT lengths to play a game devoid of these types of miscreants and malcontents.  If people want to do it, so be it, and apparently there are many in droves that do, but for us, the "minority" that pride themselves in skill and maintaining rankings in stats that have meaningful reflections of ones true ability to demonstrate those skills, K/D, low drug usage, etc, we are almost intentionally blocked from being able to congregate and find each other and play in peace.  Again, solutions, I have posted one as of yesterday, and I linked it to you.

 

In the end though, you have stated the essence of this problem, everybody

the jerk who can't play, you've lit up and is a sure kill and they press "1" on their keyboards and all your efforts have been negated.  If someone sucks at Tanki, they should suffer for it, and up their game, it's just that simple.  Should and what is though are unfortunately to different realities, and what is is the prevailing status quo.  Just go to the site, start linking Pro battles with supplies off, and lets start ignoring the rest.

Again, kudos for bringing the REAL to the forum.  I have endlessly trawled the Servers looking for No Supply battles and given up, I havea finite amount of time in life and I have to play too.

We all lose our composure sometimes, and that's fine. We're humans, not Gods. We have mistakes and that's the bottom line. We get angry as well, we just need to learn HOW to use it in a way that doesn't make us look mindless. I have a bad temper myself; I'll tell ya that much. Knocked holes in walls, 'The whole 9-yards' as they say. But I think about what my Dad used to tell us when we were growing up, 'Act your age, not your shoe size.' That really helps when you get angry. If something upsets you, like this game...take a break; go outside and breathe; find something else that you like to do...

RU1=XP/BP, go on differ servers and don't use 1 server ok.

Okay, so due to difficulties relating to Tanki's sense of ability to not have my site be misrepresented on their behalf, they have removed the references to it, and once the explanation was given, I actually can see their LEGITIMATE concern in this case.

 

That said, I tried, I really did.  I have no other ideas at the moment, so if anyone else does, this would be a good time to offer it up, otherwise we're all back to pointing fingers at people we'd rather NOT play with and stuck playing with them anyways.

 

For those who still have the link and have visited, it's still there if you want to use it and if there are others that you know want to use, I'll leave it up for now anyways.

I don't have any stories from earlier today, but I do have one bit of advice to help counter druggers...

 

Picture this -- there's a standoff (your team has their flag and their team has yours), you're the flag carrier, and a drugger is approaching. You don't happen to have any defenses, and you're currently in a position to ambush them. What do you do?

 

If you try to attack him, you're probably going to die. But if he's a typical drugger, he probably activated his supplies at almost the same time -- which means that if you simply run away and avoid him for about 20-30 seconds, they'll run out, and he'll be on cooldown. When he runs out, his advantage is gone, and you can take him out.

 

I know that saying "if you can't win a fight, run until you can" is kind of "no duh", but it actually works. I tried it on several maps -- Serpuhov, Silence, Wolfenstein, Kungur, and even Noise. And of course I'm sure it really frustrates the druggers, which will (sometimes, if you're lucky) make them leave.
