It's just the mindset of the average player to use supplies, druggers are the unfortunate encounter.

Why druggers could they not spend 5000 crystals to play drug-battles ? Apparently they have a lot of crystals to be wasted (example : 10 vs 5, 8-0 and they continue to drug again and again)

I made a new friend during a Polygon CP on EN3 today. I was using my usual Firebird-M2/Viking-M1/Spark for this map/mode and finally got position re-spawning behind an annoying Northerner Kit (M2/M2) using Premium paint that was located at the top of the long ramp. I unloaded everything I had and he was going red hot. I was near empty and he did not explode yet. I still had about at least 12 seconds of afterburner to go. Until.... I saw that green wrench start to blink above him. I just didn't even wait for my reload.

 

After he plugged his rounds in me, I asked him: "Really? You have Premium and you still have the need to drug?" He just replied with a "XD". But a few minutes later during the battle he addressed me and said I was right. "Thinking about it, it seemed sort of rude bow because I am facing a lot of M1s." So I saw he sent a friend request and I accepted. He did not drug the rest of the battle.

 

It looks like there are decent players out there, they just have to be reminded once in a while.

 Thats true.. drugs were made so common, that most players do not think to much about using them.. until they meet someone who makes a good, polite point to them (takes em out of fighting mode, could lead to thinking the situation over), instead of just calling them noobs (triggers a fight reaction)

Anytime I want to play one of these (not often), I can only play with a few friends, because we make a battle and play it since there are few or none at the time.

I get regularly pro pass [..] there are no battles in pro format on maps I like. [...] These pro battles are either 999 flags, or XP/BP [..] or Sandbox [..]

Creating a battle of my own, means I spend tens (plural) of minutes waiting for people to participate, often playing 1 vs 1 until someone else show up, even losing on purpose for the first minutes just to make opponent stay... I simply do not have the time or the patience for setting a decent battle of 6 vs 6 and above.

I think for lower ranks the issue _is_ the price.

 

 

Of course players above can afford a pro pass... but the pro pass is no the only thing they have to afford: they need turrets and hulls too. They learned to save their crystals.

I run the go-pro-club, and a few days before our first battles I received notificatiosn from 2 or 3 players close this rank, that their pro pass has expired and they currently can not afford one. They save up for a kit.

As long as pro battles are not far more common, some new gear or an early unlocked kit pays off far more then a pro pass does today.

 

 

 

Regarding higher ranks.. it is a chicken egg problem (IMHO):

 

 

• How motivated are the average players to join a 7vs7 map, if there is just one lonely player waiting in there? Most players want to join battles with more players then just one.
• How much time does the average tanker spend, to select a battle? Very short time.. 20 seconds maybe if on the same server

So it is really hard to start such a battle off from the scratch, if you don't have some friends you can invite. But wait.. maybe they are engaged in battles already, and think "I will join my pal after this round" - which still keeps you waiting alone in the battle.

If you get such a battle running, it can last for 3..4 rounds, if the teams have even strength and give each other a good challenge. It can also end within 5 mintues, if one team overpoweres the other.. and then you start again with 2 tank in a 7vs7 battle..

 

 

 

 

-> Players have simply learned, that pro battles do not fill up as fast as normal ones

-> and because of that they do not join that easily

From all participants in this system (free players, buyers, developers, marketing department) the tanki stuff is in the best position to change that.

Of course they are not interrested, as drugs are their main source of income..

You know...I've wondered that myself...with the PRO pass, a Drugger can make full-blown Drug Wars; MUs and Supplies on; without the cooldowns...I just had another epiphany. They invade casual play, ruining it for others when they could be dishing it out against their own selves.

Observing that I used an EXTREME example, my basic idea is this:

They shouldn't FORCE you into a certain playstyle (which they don't), and they shouldn't cater to a specific group of players by more or less kissing their asses.

The PRO battle pass has, as stated before, always felt like a cheap excuse the developers used as a scapegoat for when people wanted to play without supplies.

"No, no, no, you CAN play without them, but you have to pay us." isn't a solution, it's a cash-grab.

Therefore the PRO battle pass isn't a solution, it's a piece of meat thrown out at rabid wolves to hold them off for a while.

I never the less go to my favorite camp site and begin to wait to start protecting the flag.  As always DRUG FREE and focused.  Well, TG159 had nothing better to do apparently than peruse the team list for names.  He begins to harass and message CONSTANTLY, until he finds me, at which point he begins to SAB, firing at me, pushing me, and talking trash.  He was asinine, childish, and absolutely abhorrent to to even have present.  I DO pride myself in the fact that, in spite all his efforts, I still managed a higher than 1.0 K/D while being CONSTANTLY harassed.  He proceeded to do the same the next round, until I pointed out his behavior to my team and asked that they "/vote" him.  And he was asked to leave by many, and at which point he was extricated from the game, either by volition, or by vote and mod removal, I'm not certain.

 

Point here is, the ever present voice of the other side on this forum as of late is clearly without any play value or real position to discuss anything of objective value to this forum.    He is a SAB and nothing but a disturbance, and after his little display on Saturday, I'm thinking he is trolling this forum, albeit subtly, and has absolutely NO interest in speaking intelligently to the topic, as his in game behavior is likely a reflection of his general demeanor.

 

And yes, TG159 was given a few choice comments from me when he bothered me enough.  I wasn't nice about it.  I was actually playing though, so everything else is just ancillary.  He is a sac of excrement", clearly, and I said I would report on any game play I ever had with him here, there you have it.  The most vocal poster of the opposition on this thread, a SAB and a waste of space.

We've already talked about this MANY times, but since you can't be bothered to actually read, here's our simple answer: No.

If you do, in fact, have brain cells, here's the long and boring answer: PRO battles are only available at the higher ranks, and are mostly XP/BP and parkour. Once again screwing over everyone at my rank and below.

Once again, we'll just waste our money because there are no available battles there that aren't XP/BP and parkour.

Don't you think it's a bit unfair we're forced to do this? What if I want to win because I outsmarted my opponent, not because I used a health kit at the last second. As for the "everyone can and should do it" part, apply the same concept to something like drinking sewage, and now it sounds like you're forcing everyone to drink sewage. The same thing applies here with supplies, just on a different subject.

 

Following this TG should have nothing new to add, and we can safely consider any additional counter-arguments from him void and useless.

:P I do love this posted Title Replying to Drugs.  I am pro and con with this topic since i am both a player and i can understand the promotion of the drug usage by tankionline so that they can make incredible amounts of money from people who will purchase the drugs in large quantities like 1000 DD 1000 Protection and 1000 Healer 1000 mines etc.

They found the perfect formula, the usage of drugs make you a Gizmo on the first day.  Why be a private when with drugs you can do damage just like the Gizmos on here.  It gives the private a high, high of having the invincibility for 30 seconds and crashing down to nuthin.  Use another drug and then they get that High again, doing double damage triple damage, having protection from enemy blast and coming out unscathed.  More drugs on hand increases the chances of getting that sensation of doing more damage against your non druggin opponent. What an exhilarating feeling.  What a rush to blast someone who cannot defend themselves and seeing their tanks blown up into smithereens........................ :rolleyes: :wub: :D

 

Drugs will remain for tanki's and the fact most players buy their ranks anyways, why not buy some drugs to make you a better player. As for us noobers well we just have to play along with them and buy drugs whenever we earn crystals so we can afford them just as we earn our ranks the old fashion way, just grinding day to day just like real life.

Well, I haven't had that "pleasure" ... but I kind of guessed how he is ... his lack of so called "honour" playing was quite significant to identify the type of person.

You realize one important thing: they make huge amount of money with drugs, not "just for the soup for dinner" as many dreamers say!!

 

But on one point you are wrong ... they did not find the perfect formula.

 

Unfortunately for the game but fortunately for the fair persons this "formula" is bringing the game down and will lead to its end. In fact they are making up the Tanki X ... probably they saw this players leaving the game (as shown on the daily players count and graphs - before they removed them too).

 

Giving satisfaction, balance and fairplay would be the perfect formula for a game to be consistent in time. Their formula is quite a bubble, and it is blowing up!

We love this game and this is the reason why we talk ... we would like it to be great for long!!

You know, God's honest truth, I was assuming my first confrontation with him would be head to head, and a battle, where he tried to make less of me in battle, but no, he stayed on the team and resulted to SABing me.  I really thought I'd have a real fight on my hands the day we met, him drugging and doing his best to try to make me look bad on a "skills" basis, but not even that, he just fell to the abyss of ridiculous, and when I tell you ridiculous, it was so annoying and dumb it merited the comments of others there on his stupid banter and messing with the teams ability to play.  So yeah, confirmed.

Im new to this topic, but I think the main advantage for game now are playing with 1 or more friends in same battle - they get combos so could do best together and yes, if they use drugs it makes them 2x stronger. But for pro battles, friends with good combos together are stronger than just player with drugs alone in one game. 
Would like to know your thoughts about this.
