There 's not much you can legally do about this I 'm afraid.

 

Maybe the best thing to do is check your friendslist and delete everyone you never play with

or have had contact with in ages.

Or even better delete unknown friends who suddenly appeared lately.

 

It only takes one "friend" who simply acts like a tracker to inform his real friends of your whereabouts.

Next reaction on this post may include "paranoia", but I 'm long enough on this forum to know

how this works and even had a personal experience with it.

I checked a couple of players in the Go Pro Club Name List and found some actually use more supplies than , one of the 'druggers' you singled out a couple of weeks ago.

Oddly enough that's become my strategy for a while -- befriend heavy druggers (who AREN'T jerks about it) and invite them when druggers are making my non-drugging team lose. That way I don't have to start drugging, but we can still have a (sorta) balanced game.

 

I say "sorta" because, while we may have 7 non-druggers and 3 druggers vs 7 non-druggers and 3 druggers, the 7 is still gonna be dominated by the 3. It's like if you put normal humans into a fight between Superman and Goku; it might be "balanced" for a while, but the humans sure aren't gonna feel that way.

 

 

 

And for all the four-year-olds who are all "Ehhh Superman/Goku cuud beat there opponent in two seecundzz"... shut up, that's not the point.

I am a kid, a hacker, a bully, blablabla) but I'd prefer not to read modified actual facts where me and my friends are involved. You're lucky I haven't recorded the battle in Esplanade you mentioned previously - there wasn't any frustrated player to catch red-handed sabotaging, for once - because otherwise people would see you're a dreadful liar.

 

Anyway. Tanki is a shooting game where virtual tanks aim to destroy each others. Every battle ends with both winners and losers. I don't care about losing as long as my teammates have a team spirit and focus on the mode of the battle - defend the flag, support attackers who capture flags etc. - with minimum common sense, 0% of useless camping gameplay (of course), whatever they use drugs or not. I sometimes meet smart players in my battles who observe the battlefield every second to decide what will be their next movement and who manage very well to sneak in the enemy base until the flag without using any personal supplies.

I'm also talking about those who use their butt to block drugging enemies while you're heading back to your base with the flag instead of trying to hit their strong shields with regular shots - thanks to everyone who might recognise himself, *hug*. Using drugs isn't enough, you have to use your brain fir​​st of all and not run everywhere like crazy to shoot random enemies who have no impact on the outcome of the battle. Too many players join CTF and consider it as TDM - if you ever recognise yourself, please get lost, *no hug*

 

Drugs is a legal feature of the game. It has been developed to provide players extra powers over others during a limited time. Its real purpose is to make anyone who has drugs enabled feel stronger and greater. You might compare this to cars: you can drive decently with a French Renault but you'd feel better while driving a BWM M4 (like @Daddy-Is-Now-Here's). Tanki is a company which aims to earn money and plays with your emotions like any other company in the world since the first ice-cream truck has been on the streets ever.

Once you ate an ice cream, there's a chance you may become addicted. The goal of the ice-cream seller is to make you become addicted thanks to small free samples then to make sure that you buy all the flavours available daily until you run out of coins. The ice-cream seller knows you're young and will use many sneaky and blatant strategies to encourage you to buy ice creams: releasing a new flavour every Monday, selling his stocks off every month, giving you the opportunity to waste your money in expensive useless gifts etc. - I hope you'll have the chance to attend sociology classes in university, it's absolutely amazing.

I have tried many times to get the ice-cream seller refuse to serve cheaters who overtook me in the queue because they're greedy m because they wanted to make up for various complexes, but he never listened to me given that cheaters were buying a lot of his ice creams. When I figured out he would never withdraw his bestseller - the "drugs" flavour - from his store, I teamed up with good friends - like that tomato - against cheaters who try to steal our ice creams daily ; and I must say we manage pretty well to repel their takeover attempts :D

 

 

 

 

Wallet management requires patience, efforts and foresight. Most of players purchase every item on sale like crazy and whine once they realise none of their equipment is even strong enough to kill a pigeon. A few months after I started Tanki, I decided to focus on one combo at a time - Thunder / Hornet - and I upgraded it step by step during sales only. I used to spend a few minutes to find the best team before entering a battle and fought hard throughout, without using any supplies but the drops. I was raging a lot against hard druggers but I've always definitely been more pissed by idle players who have fun sabotaging than junkies like that tomato - before I fall in love with his wonderful drugging skills :wub: . One day, I saved enough crystals to buy a "1500 drugs" kit, I kept playing hard and figured out I was earning crystals more easily ; it was one year ago, when I reached Generallisimo rank.

 

The funniest part of this story is that I have never bought any ice cream to Tanki and yet I eat plenty of them daily, for free.

 

At this point, you have 6 possibilities:

 

1. You follow my method above and save crystals patiently to buy a "1500 drugs" kit - get ready to have a lot of fun !

 

2. You all sign a petition against drugs and send it to Tanki instead of whining each one in your own corner - brace yourselves #1

 

3. You all sign a petition against the friendship system which allows friends to play together and send it to Tanki - brace yourselves #2

 

4. You play the many other modes (PRO, BP, XP etc.) where drugs aren't allowed but skills - which you claim have 24/7 - and team spirit are required. Strangely, I've never met anyone of the regular whiners there yet.

 

5. You keep your blinkers on, get around my previous suggestions and keep moaning in the void here - brace yourselves #3

 

6. You quit this game and finally give us a break.

 

Whichever solution you pick, please, PLEASE stop whining in-game and blaming druggers who simply use a legal feature ; it only makes you look detestable.

So, I watched that deplorable video and I'll give you this, YOU ROCK at drugging.  I have never seen a visualized bit of armor take such a RIDICULOUS amount of damage before, EVER.  Anime combat has NOTHING on you man.  You swallowed the equivalent of a couple of 5000lb bombs between dying, amazing, and the timing, AMAZING, I mean, a science nearly, I'm humbled by your nimble and agile calculation of when to hit RK and DD, balancing out those timers on the cooldown, that's some IMPRESSIVE sheet.  And that slugfest with the mammy vulcan, I mean wow, had to rewind that like a million times, it was almost epic material, you, the vulcan, shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, uuggggghh, I think I just, well, you know, just recalling it.  Dude, you rock, totes, this is what the game SHOULD BE, I mean, c'mon, who needs to understand the dynamics of equipment stats, reload times, speeds of hulls, picking locations carefully for follow up shots to kill the person that SHOULD BE nearly dead, I mean, that's for

For the rest of us here, especially the you guys on the fence about all this, this is f'tardness documented, it couldn't have been scripted any better.  This is why this went from an awesome game of armored combat, to a sorry slug match between who has more inventory.  Pathetic, sad, and wholly unnecessary.  LEGAL doesn't mean it's worth a damn, it just means you can do it.

 

Oh, and by the way, author of said post, WE ARE TRYING to organize, in spite of EVERY road block that has been presented to us, and we're getting there, we simply aren't lauded like you guys are, and April Fools boxes don't drop that STOP supplies for 5 minutes, they encourage them.

Can everyone learn to use spoilers and quote selectively. It's getting a bit tedious having to look at the same thing every day when I check my favourite topic.  :P

 

But I didn't come here to say that. What I came here for is to ask you all not to dig a hole for yourselves like @Brubook did. As the OP of this topic, he had to lead by example and not use supplies. What I'm saying is you still have a choice to use them. So what if you've defended non-drug use in the past and so what if you think they're a game spoiler, they're here to stay and will also be in Tanki X so why not get used to them. You must have bundles by now! (kidding)

 

There is nothing wrong in complaining about this stuff, many do at some stage. They do it in the hope that the devs read it and do something about the thing they don't like. I've done enough of it myself but I've learned that tanki hardly ever act in the way you want them to. But be assured, supplies are here to stay and they'll change them when they're ready, not because you ask them to.

 

I mentioned earlier about the evolution in tanki. That is to say, a player will start this game, get up to a about without spending real money and then realise that they are facing druggers, teams and buyers. They then decided to stay or go, spend or persevere. (I'm useless so I chose to spend :blink: but some people I know didn't and are very accomplished players B) )

 

It's much harder for non-buying players today than it was a few years ago. It wasn't as difficult back then to manage your garage without spending real money. There were less turrets, less protective paints and you could get by with Rustle for a long time.  If you were strong-minded enough, disciplined enough and collected the crystals that rained down everywhere, you could make it through the hard times and eventually emerge the top rank. There you could then concentrate on your 1 or 2 favourite combos and start working on how to collect and play with supplies effectively. All this without buying.

 

Now there are kits, bundles and special offers a-plenty, all tempting you to save up and buy and many players do just that. I don't have the figures but I'm guessing it is a lot more than yesteryear. This makes it even more difficult for mid-rank players to get by and I do feel for them, hence my topic on the subject trying to figure out a fair solution for all involved but TO had none of it. Their message is clear folks.

 

So during your struggle, you have to analyse your strength and your playing style, then work out if you can compete and have fun in supplies battles or not. If you can't do that then stay clear of them and play in no-supplies battles. There you can practice all day long what you preach here and nobody has to moan or be offended.

 

But mark my words, if you do make it through to and you prefer supplies battles, you will eventually become the people you despise so much now. That's tanki evolution so don't dig that hole too deep for yourselves that you're unable to climb out of it.

So, since you brought this EXTREMELY COGENT point to our discussion, I'll take you up on this.

 

Let's do the "math", shall we?

 

Players complained about Ricos not being powerful enough anymore, they added range, Smokys were to blah, they tweaked them.  A number of turrets have had NUMEROUS changes made to them, ALL at the behest of their users complaining.  Now, the one minority that got it bad though, were shafts.  They bought into a sniper system, paid huge sums for them, learned to play under difficult conditions (shafts by their very nature are different animals from any other turret in the game, miles from anything else.  Don't argue it either, EVERYTHING else as auto aim within at least 8 degrees, shafts have to be EXACTLY on point, and at M2 and above hull level, things move way fast for that).  When whiny little prisses said "we don't like campers", Tanki ruined that turret.  Flat out.  IT was a sniper weapon, it belonged to a different school of game play.  They ruined it.  Now this was "openly" stated, by the dev team.  When Ricos complained they were not as powerful as before, and it is a beloved turret, they tweaked it.  They've done this on other occasions with other turrets.  Oh, and hulls, raising armor values to keep heavy hits from doing their job.  Whiny druggers complained that Shafts and Rails were shutting them down.  Well, time to up the armor.  On and on.

 

So we here have decided to ask for concession, not placation, unlike the filthy masses that Rugby on treads.  If we could have just a easier way of creating, and sustaining drug free battles and making them easily discernible on the server, it would mean so much to our "minority" group here.  I mean, after all, when people complained about Shafts, they nerfed them, when people complained about ricos being under powered, they up'd them.  Why can't we make it easier for non supply battle to be created and found?  Hell, if we could just NAME battles that are drug free as such, pro pass and all, and they could persist longer in the battle list while we wait for fighters, that would be great.  Not asking much are we?  You need a pro-pass for that crap anyways.    It's all a pathetic joke, and you railing on "drugs are here to stay" is pointless before a group of people that simply want SOME WAY to easily congregate, create/find, and play in battles that are supply free.  Sounds reasonable to me, we're not asking for drugs to be gone or that they nerf the power of them.  Sure, drugs are stupid, unrealistic, and turn the dynamic of the game into a joke, but hey, people like, screw it, let them "eat cake".  Point is, we want some peaceful space within Tanki that has simply ease of finding each other and lets us play easily how we want.

 

The devs DO read this stuff, Hazel Rah is constantly on this junk, and they pick and choose.  Hell, Hazel had the nuts to tell everyone he "personally" did not like camping, and he would do everything HE could, not as an initiative from Tanki, but his own personal crusade, to shut down all forms of camping.  So don't anyone think they don't read this.  Heck, when we started shaming big time abusers here, Mods were all over it.  This thing is read all the time.  One of the reasons I stopped posting tactics and ideas on Let's Discuss Shaft.  It was like I'd come up with a solution to overcome an obstacle put in place and it was like reporting to the enemy.  Tell them what you do to get around camping and in short order things get tweaked to discourage that.  It's dumb.  It's the other reason why you don't see us openly discussing what we are doing to organize here.  Go Pro Club is as public as it gets.  After that, it's personal correspondence to each other.  We'll eventually get there, hopefully, we're closer than before, big list, lots of ways of doing it.  Either way though, even if we do get around to having it really take off, drugging is dumb, breaks the cycle of game play, and has no place in this game really, except to make money.
